Messy Weather Friday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Messy Weather Friday

Postby Colliemom » Fri Apr 04, 2014 7:14 am

Morning all,

Cloudy here at the moment. Some rain showers around the area, but freezing rain supposedly heading in a bit later then changing to rain and back to snow tonight. The U.P. is going to get clobbered with as much as a foot in someplaces, so looks like old man winter is having one last hurrah. I hope those of you who were and still are in the path of the tornadoes and storms moving across are safe and out of harm's way. I especially worry about Kathleen, who is one the road back to IL and I'm sure, right in the path of some of it. Hope those in southern IL weren't in the path of the tormado that did hit there.

As for me, time to clean up around here today Got the breezeway painted, so now need to put stuff back up on the walls, window valances are in the washing and will vacuum and clean it all up, plus wash the windows. Then have some cleaner stuff to put on my laminate countertops that's supposed to bring out the color again. So today will be mostly a putter with this and than day. Not going out into the weather today.

Starting to sound more and more like my friend and I will be heading west. Probably in June. Custer State Park is the destination in SD for both of us and since I'm going to be so close, Yellowstone and Grand Tetons are also on my radar. Beth, you a e working in Keystone. Where are you going to be? Anybody else going to be out that way? We have yet to get together and finalize plans as we live over 200 miles apart, but are talking via emails right now.

Sure looks like a great time going to be had at the KS GTG in Sept. More people joining in all the time. Hope more of you will be going.

Have a great day all and keep safe and out of harm's way out there.

All ok here, the dogs had a bad day and night with all the thunder and lightening. Toby and I slept on the couch as the sump pump in the basement was running right below my bedroom and I couldn't go to sleep with the rumbling. Lots of flooding in the area though, we didn't have much wind here thank goodness, I don't want to loose any more trees. I was also glad the electricity stayed on as our generator isn't working. Repairman coming today for that.
Had Elsie de-winterized yesterday and they opened my outside storage bin for me with no problem. It will not open for me and that is where my electric cord is stored. Of course I feel like a ninny when it pops right open for them. I told them yesterday I'd just come by and have them open it if I'm going camping so I can get my cord out.
Sue sure hope spring gets to you soon, I know you must be tired of snow and ice!

So glad you're okay, BJ. I thought of you all evening.

Good morning gals! Buried in 8+ inches of heavy wet snow this morning here  Not looking forward to going out to clean off my Jeep this morning. :(. It is very windy out and blowing the snow all over.

We closed up the shop early last night due to the heavy snowfall. But, it will be in the 50's and 60's all next week, so will be gone quickly.

Hope no one is affected by the bad weather south of here. Would rather have snow than tornadoes! That time of year is almost here for us too, tho.

Sue, I wish I could join you on your trip out west. Sounds like fun!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Rain and more rain here in Ohio....and enough thunder boomies yesterday to worry Remi....

The Short Bus is almost loaded and ready to head off with Audrey and her furry groupies. We will be staying in a Pennsylvania State Park (Luckily today was the opening day of their season.) while Audrey takes in a Pittsburgh area dog show. Last task is to wash Audrey, wrap her in her towel and throw her on the bus.

Good thing I head back to a project next week. I spent two weeks work of paychecks at the vets yesterday on teeth cleaning. Eleven year old Blondie lost 7 of her chompers. Stuart only lost one little one but he also had a growth removed from his mouth. The SoCa vet had noticed it last December when she checked them for their MX paper work. She said that it wasn't an emergency but that it should be removed when we got back home because it will lead to trapped food particles and infections. The biopsy will tell if she was right or wrong....

Neither dog seems at all out of sorts this morning and are raring to go go go....

Off to go camping and dog showing..... :)

Go Audrey!!! Have a safe trip Tina.

Thanks for thinking of me Mitch, glad the storm missed you. What were the reviews on your Apple Pie Bites? They looked like something I would really like. I need to get to Paducah to Kirchhoff's Bakery for those flakey things shaped like pinwheels I like. I have to call and order them because they don't make them every day.

Barbie I hope that warm weather comes soon!!!
