And "Top of the Morning" to all of you.... :D

Rainy here today...so looks like the parade in Savannah maybe a little wet, but I'm sure they'll still celebrate.... ;) It will be a "zoo" downtown, so we'll do the usual and watch it on TV.... ;)

Usual Monday chores of laundry ahead of me....but with the rain, probably postpone it for another day....

Okay, coffee is ready and have fresh strawberry scones for you to enjoy....

Have a great day, all...

Good morning Lori, Cheryl and all that follow!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! It's raining here in Ocala. No, I take that back, it's pouring here, but at least the temperatures are mild. At our home in MD, the schools are closed for what everyone is hoping is the last snow storm of the winter.

The campground is having a St. Patty's Day potluck this evening at the clubhouse. I'll be taking a Shepherd's Pie.

Today Sarah plans on making it to her home in Alabama. Safe travels, Sarah! To everyone else, stay dry, stay warm and have a great day!

Well!

I don't usually post here, but thought I'd let everyone know who's watching the news that all is basically okay here in the L.A. area. We had a 4.4 earthquake in the metro/San Fernando Valley area at 6:25 this morning. I didn't feel anything, thankfully.

In the grand scheme of things a 4.4 isn't big. It can shake things, especially if you're near the epicenter. Things can fall off of shelves, but structural damage in buildings doesn't usually occur.

Other than this little natural alarm clock, it's a beautiful day here. It was downright hot yesterday (low 90s), but today is supposed to be 15-20* cooler. A little too warm for my taste this time of year, but that's why they call this part of the country the land of "shake and bake"!

Have a great St. Paddy's Day, everyone!

Laura

Good green morning!

26 here with freezing rain and sleet. I am supposed to work at a shop out of town today and am not very happy about driving out there with slippery roads.
Tomorrow we are getting a snowstorm. We are only supposed to get 3-5 inches here around the Twin Cities, but up to a foot or more north of here. Won't last long tho, with temps near 40.

Yesterday I made reservations for a State Park up on the North Shore of Lake Superior near the Canadian border (Cascade River State Park) for the weekend of June 19-22. There is a Meetup group going that weekend so I signed up to go with them. Love that area! Lots of rivers and waterfalls that flow into the lake along there. I have been up there a ton of times with my mom but I have never hiked around there (did a lot of shopping and eating tho!).
(My mom passed away on June 22, 7 years ago, and she absolutely loved that area, so it will be fitting to be there then. I know she will be with me in spirit!)

Lots of wind, snow, rain, ice and an earthquake going on around the country today! Probably wreaking havoc with St Patty's Day celebrations.

Have a green (er, good) one!

Waited for a little break in the rain before getting a late start but decided I really needed to get home. Light rain/fog/ low clouds most of the way so it was a slow drive on back roads.
Made it to Ditto around 5:15, got Magic set up in a temporary site until Thursday, grabbed just what needed for tonight and in the morning and got ride home by 6:00 tonight.
It was a great trip but Nicky and I are both happy to be home again at least for now. Nicky has checked out back yard to be sure it was not overrun by chipmunks while he was away and had fun just running around without leash. Best of all he gets to sleep in bed with me tonight (cannot do that in RV).
Will start dealing with the problems of the real world, including taxes tomorrow. Just going to chill the rest of tonight.
