Monday & Back to the Vortex

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Monday & Back to the Vortex

Mornin' Ladies,
Well another polar vortex coming in this week. Is this the horror version of The Never Ending Story ?

Barbie, sad to hear about Coco, but trusting you will make the right decision. O - watched a program on PBS last night about where the Mississippi starts. Very pretty city you live in. Looks like Ole Miss starts about 200 miles north of you in a lake / wetlands area.

I better start buying lottery tickets so I can start my journey earlier rather than later.

Have a great day everyone. Stay safe & warm (again). Less than 30 days till Spring!

Good morning Cheryl & everyone!

I feel so badly for all of those still suffering with the never ending cold of the winter. Sure hope the temperatures start warming up soon. Woke up to temperatures in the low 60's this morning in Ocala but it is very gray and overcast. Thought about all those watching the Nascar race yesterday with the rain delay and late ending.

Yesterday Steve & I celebrated our 41st anniversary. We didn't do anything special, but for us, just being together is good.

Coffee is on and I'm having chocolate milk, so please help yourself. I hope everyone's day is a good one.

Looks like another beautiful day here in SoCal! Yesterday was gorgeous, went for a motorcycle ride with a friend, found some roads I hadn't been on before and did a couple of my favorites. He has a BMW dual sport...the jury is still out on that. An hour in the hot tub when we got back, sure did feel good! Have to take the jeep in today to leave off for repair from when that old geezer hit me. Supposed to be a rental car waiting there for me, but if it's gonna be a while before they get the new bumper in I would rather keep mine until they're ready for it. Unless they rent me a Charger or something cool like that, then I would for sure use it!

Chewy took off after a feral cat yesterday morning and stopped halfway across the yard screaming. Guess she sprained something, she's limping around on 3 legs. If I don't see some improvement in a couple of days it's off to the vet. I know they're gonna want to put her out and x-ray her. Hoping to avoid that. It's not the money, I just hate having that done to her, she gets so sick from the anesthesia. Vet said some dogs have a bad reaction no matter what they use.

Supposedly have rain coming end of the week..doing the happy dance here! We need it badly!!

Good morning and its almost noon but I just got up from a nice nap in the car. Woke earlier at 3 and could not get back to sleep. Sore throat makes me feel like I'm fighting off a bug of some sorts. Haven't been sick in years so I'm hoping it doesn't settle in. We are too short of drivers for me to take off.
Ya'll have a great day

Congrats to Irmi and Steve!

Enjoyed lunch with Beth, Liz, along with Jenny and hubby Dan yesterday. I don't think Jenny ever posts on here :(

Another day in the desert today - sand this time. Sharon is much braver than I when it comes to riding in the dunes - I want to know what is on the other side!! Had a fun time watching young guys 'hill climb' in the dunes on motorcycles and quads. Desert lilies are in bloom and saw some great lizards.

Off to dinner with our Alberta friends. Still parked at the Q.
