Blustery Friday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Good Morning all,

Very windy morning here in Michigan. Winter storm pushing through. Heaviest snow is in western Upper Peninsula. Here it's windy with some sleet coming down and snow to move in later. All schools are closed and our county bus system is not running either. So plan to just stay in and work in house.

Been awhile since I offered breakfast, so guess I start today. Don't have a lot in house, but do have cereal, milk, strawberries, canned peaches, bread for toast or can make French toast as I also have eggs and sausage. Tea available but no coffee, sorry.

Painted front bedroom yesterday and was planning to do back bedroom today, but decided to wait till tomorrow. Let the other one gas off a bit more and also put things back where they belong, hang pictures and curtains back up and then dust and vacuum. Also want to do some little "touch up" stuff here and there where it needs a bit of paint, some mud to a crack or something, that kind of stuff. Good weather to work on that kind of stuff.

I'm glad to see that the weather in FL is warming up nicely. Will probably start getting more crowded down there as this is usually when northerner as ready to head south for a few weeks of sun and warm air. But just think, few more weeks and we will all be heading into spring and getting those rigs ready to roll or perhaps buying our first or new rig. Exciting times ahead. I'm working with a couple of car dealers on maybe getting a new tow vehicle to pull TT. Will see how it all works out.

Have a nice day today. If you are in path of bad weather, keep alert and safe, enjoy the sunshine down south and get those traveling plans in the works.

Good Morning
At least the day is starting out pretty tho rain moving in for next few days.
Just got report on last nights severe storms at home. 70 mph winds knocked down power lines, trees and got a few roofs and vehicles. No injuries and no "serious" damage. Some flash flooding as there was 2.4 inches of rain over very short period. Did you know that according to the weather channel, Huntsville, AL is now at top of list most likely to be hit by tornado? Seems tornado ally has shifted to the SE.
Did not accomplish much yesterday but did enjoy a long visit with Donna and MM in the afternoon.
So glad Magic does not have carpet. I did at least sweep. The floor cover does an excellent job of hiding dirt/sand/dog hair - you would not believe the pile that got swept out the door.
Hope you have a great day.

Good morning all. Been a busy couple of days for me. Drove to Akron Wed. to pick my friend. We left later than we planned due to to ice on I-80. We got through just fine but saw 4 or 5 jack-knifed trucks along the way. Apparently just one exit east of us was shut down until yesterday for clean up from multiple vehicle accident (s??). I got off at the right exit when we came home apparently cause one exit more and we would have gotten tied up in the back up. As it was the line of trucks and cars going west on the secondary road went on for miles. Quite a sight and I was glad I wasn't heading that way! Yesterday sister in law and i went down to Greensburg ( short trip-- only about 100 miles!) to visit my eldest brother in law in the hospital. He's got several issues to deal with but seems to be on the mend. The biggest issue is how he deals with it all when he goes home. It'll be in his hands to continue with what he knows he should do. So alot of driving and emotions. Saw a few RVs and campers and i often wonder where they are heading and now even wonder if it might be some of the ladies from here! Kinda makes me think I should honk and wave!! Sue, I have some coffee and eggs and bacon I could add to breakfast! It's going to be warmer here today so think I can try to break up some of the ice in the driveway. Or not! Think I'll have another cup of coffee and think about it! Have a great day, everyone. Stay warm and be safe if you're on the move today.

Storm is over, sun is out. Cold (2*), windy and nasty tho. Roads are really bad all over. Highways are icy and gridlocked. Backroads are equally bad. Thank God for 4WD! We got about a foot of snow here. But drifts are much higher from the winds.

Gotta go out soon to dig out my Jeep :( before heading to work this morning. -17 below windchill, so being outside will be no fun at all!

Those in Florida, etc, enjoy your warmth! Wish I was down there now!

I better get bundled up here and get going. Have a good day where ever you are!

Good Morning,

A little cloudy in the desert this morning. LeRoy and I are dry camping between Quartzsite and Yuma. We went out on the RZR yesterday - the desert is starting to bloom here. We saw our first cactus blooms of the year! It can only get better. This is new exploration and the rock mountains never cease to make me say, 'Wow!' Will post photos but left one camera in the truck and too lazy to go get it last night. :)

There will be another RZR ride today!

Such crazy weather most of you are having! Have been catching up on some of the blog posts - always appreciate them!

The storms came through here last night between 10:00 and 12:00. It would rain really hard and I could hear the wind for a little while. It did that a few times. We only got 1/2 inch of rain. Our big trash can and the bag of trash took a trip. I'm glad the trash bag didn't break open. The line of bad weather is headed for Florida but don't know how much rain it has left.

The two white boys(cats) are out stalking birds. It would take a pretty dumb bird to get caught by a white cat. We were watching them when my sister was here. I told her I should make them camouflage suits.

I wish I was as ambitious as Sue. I did get a couple of big containers to unload the entertainment center for when we start on the floor. After unloading one side I can see that I need at least 3 more containers. I don't have near the cookbooks I had when our house flooded but I still have a lot.

Beautiful day here in SoCal but kind of sad. I sent my last two visitors on their way this morning. No one comes to see me for 10 years and then I have a bountitude of company within a few months. That will probably be the last of the visitors for a few years! LOL! Going out to lunch with daughter today, new hot tub being delivered tomorrow (it's all Lyn's fault, she just had to go over to the big tent in Q!! LOL), dropping car off for repair on Monday (all Evie's (Pooker) fault, I was looking for a close place to take her camping LOL) and hopefully the guy will be back on Tues to finish the repairs on Hope (all my fault). Whew! Lots of other stuff coming up, but that's next month.

Liz and Beth, on their way to Jennys in Yuma....

Hope everyone has a great day today, stay warm and dry

I made it to work this morning, and on time! The jeep was covered in snow but the snow had been so wet and with the colder temps, froze into ice, so had to chip off frozen snow from the doors and windows  Had a 3 foot drift in back of my Jeep but just plowed thru it in 4WD.

The wind is what is so bad today tho! :o Very cold! Takes your breath away!

So ready for spring!

So glad I'm not in MN, Barbie. Still amazes me people can tolerate that much cold tho I know there are those who love it.

Look out Sharon. The casino was almost tempting enough to get Wendy started westward but now a hot tub to boot may be more than she can resist.
