Get moving

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Get moving

Postby bluepinecones » Wed Feb 19, 2014 7:59 am

Sun is rising but there is fog this morning.
I have totally enjoyed my stay here with Linda & Sandy but have to move on later today. Going back to Melbourne this afternoon.
My convertor breaker tripped again. I've posted question in maintenance section if anyone has ideas/suggestions, they will be appreciated.
Have a good day.

Warm..Wonderful...Wed.....

Postby grammynmaggie » Wed Feb 19, 2014 8:00 am

Good morning everyone it's a wonderful Wednesday here that's for sure
Spent most of the day over at Wickham park .... visited with MM.... I was parked over in the main park area close to the campground... It's really great that they let you park anywhere you want to Going to do some cooking today just in case I can get into the campground for a day or two I've never seen the park this full . Never had a problem finding a spot for a night or two ... I think snow birds are staying around longer and not moving north as soon Because of the nasty weather they had up there a winter.... I have one thing left to get clean on my RV and that is theawning over the door... I think I was trying to do that today and give Maggie a bath... Have a fun day and stay safe...donna

I am moving toward Ft. Myers. Stopped back at Hillsborough River for the night and will move out today. Weather is warming up nicely, so know you enjoy your stay at Melbourne.

Good morning Sarah and Nan and those who follow!
It is warm (21*) and foggy here this morning with a high of 40 for later on. Downright balmy! :D
However, we are in for another snowstorm tomorrow with up to 10 inches of snow. We've already had that much this past week and the snow piles are getting pretty high now! (and it isn't even March yet, when we get our heaviest snows! :o ) Will be good for the lake when it melts this spring but will also cause a lot of flooding along the rivers.

Off to work here shortly... have a great day! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Good Morning everyone... sorry Barbie but we will have an 80+ day here... oh so happy for the warm up... need it badly...

I folded up the electric blanket and cover I had on my couch and put it away!! Hopefully no more cold nights...

My daughter Margie told me that they have 42+ snow total thus far this winter... average is 20.9... soooo glad to not have to deal with that... she said she gets up every morning and looks out the window to see if it is snowing... and usually it is! She sent me my small electric heater and large heated lap blanket and tucked in Valentines candy... how cool is that!!

Sarah glad you had a very good visit with Linda and Sandy... You are having a great winter despite the cold back home in Huntsville... I just had my converter replaced... Nan have a good day traveling...

What ever you do enjoy this day...

Enjoying a short visit with Sharon, and got to meet Evie (Pooker) for the first time yesterday. This morning I am at the Ford dealership in Hemet getting an oil change and service, while Beth is at another place getting a gas leak fixed. I changed my mind about buying a full-sized spare for the Honda here. Called the local Honda dealer and was quoted a price of over $900! I don't think so. So I've ordered a rim online which is being delivered to Jenny's at Yuma where we're headed next. I'll buy a tire somewhere and have it mounted on the rim, for a lot less than $900 I'm sure.

Haircuts for Beth and me later today.

Hope everyone is warming up!

All 3 of us getting cuts. Mine is done, the other two are in chairs now.

My gas leak is in the line to the tank, I knew it wasn't the tank and will hopefully be completely fixed yet today. This morning he told me Friday at best. He knew I wasn't happy, so the last phone call was good ( finishing today) and bad ( cost).

Liz, you could have probably got a good deal on a rim at a junk yard if you like messing around at junk yards which I don't. lol I had to help my son find a rim and it was a lot less than the Ford place wanted.

I just got back from Lafayette. Went to bring my son to the doctor and then decided to donate blood so they would quit calling me for a while. I wanted to go to Walmart but ran out of steam so came home. I fell off the king cake wagon. I don't know if you can freeze them but I'm going to put some of it in the freezer so we don't eat it all in the next 2 days.

It is almost 80 here today. I hate to turn the air conditioner on because we will probably have to put the heat back on this weekend.

If you mean the plastic baby, yes most do. Now though, because of safety reasons (choking) some put the baby in the box & people can put it in the cake or not. Tradition is that whoever gets the piece with the baby buys the next King Cake.

Most King Cakes come with a small string of Mardi Gras beads and the plastic baby. You can insert the baby from the bottom if you want to. King Cakes are only sold until about Fat Tuesday(the day before Ash Wednesday). When I was working one or two would show up at the office every week and by the end you would be pretty well sick of them. Most of them are very sweet.

We're at Sharon's - we didn't know she would decide to get a cut, too -

Speaking of King Cakes, I shall be on the Gulf Coast of Alabama in Gulf Shores with my family in a beach condo for Mardi Gras week! Cannot wait! I wintered down there for 2 years when full timing, 2007-2009, and just had to return. We only had one kid to brandish about in the air in return for beads, moon pies, etc, but this time we'll have two small children to offer up as sacrifice to the Mystic Order of the Magnolias!

I'm glad to hear it's warming up down there. I hate paying for the family trip when everyone moans at me that "It's kind of cold." :-)
