Wet Weds....along with the "Big Chill" again...

Postby rvgrammy1953 » Wed Feb 12, 2014 6:08 am

Yep, it has started...right around 4am this morning....the wind, the cold rain, and the colder temps....But the good news is that I heard it start and turned over and went back to sleep.... ;) Yeah, me.... :D

We had an Oyster roast last night here....Ernie and our friend, Andy, got a bushel of local oysters, the crew here brought side dishes, and we had a feast.... :D Ernie's a little disappointed cause I didn't take any pics, but my excuse is that we aren't camphosting here anymore and didn't feel it was necessary......oh, well, he'll get over it...

The weather will keep us inside today and tomorrow...the sleet is suppose to hit coastal GA this afternoon sometime...good thing I got the laundry done yesterday... :o

Okay, coffee is ready and raisin/cinnamon bagels with cream cheese are on the table to share...

Have a great day, all...stay dry and warm.... ;)

good morning ladies
just a quick cup of coffee and gotta get ready for work. Its not often I turn the computer on in the early morning but I was up
half an hour early and needed to get some stuff done that I can't do on the smartphone. The weather channel is calling for a high
of 77 today, others say 79, so just take your pick. Whatever, it will be a nice day and will feel good to sit in the sun.
Ya'll enjoy your day, be safe and hope you stay warm.

Good Morning Lori, Alice and all who follow,

Cloudy day here, some snow possible later, but no big deal. Warming up a bit more too. In fact next week looks downright balmy at upper 20's maybe even into low 30's :) Now I know that sounds cold to a lot of you, but after 29 days of below normal temps, it's a "heat wave" Sorry that so many of you down south are having to deal with such wild weather. Makes it extremely hard to get around I know, in most cases nobody's getting around at all. But hang in there, two more weeks and we're into March and thoughts of spring.

Day off here today No working in house. Installed baseboard mouldings yesterday and di some touch up painting in living room as well. Things coming along nicely here. Errands to run today and want to spend some time looking for stuff to decorate walls with as well. Have wall in kitchen and living room in need of some decorating.

Seriously considering selling this S&B, but not sure just where to relocate too. Want to have a home base per say, but something that doesn't need a lot of upkeep so I can get out and "play" more. Dreaming of RVing some, but don't know if I want it on a full time basis. Have eyes on new TT that I have fallen in love with, but can't do anything till winter is over.

So, it shoud be a fun day today I hope. And hope you all have a great day out there too. Those getting the bad weather, keep warm and safe. Read, clean house, do a jigsaw puzzle, whatever. And the rest of you, have fun In the sun.

Good morning !! This cold I have is still hanging on and I'm sorry to admit I have been so busy wallowing in my own misery, I have no idea as to what some of you might be dealing with. I do know the days I have been up to checking the morning post, I have decided that Lori must have the most amazing smelling kitchen, she has such nice goodies to offer us.

Sue , is always busy on her home, what an ambitious lady she is. How is Sassy doing? loved the pictures of your home and all the snow. I like looking at it and in a way miss it this year, REALLY getting to be a silly ole lady   I do not miss shoveling it and the inconviences, just seeing it snow, always love that. I think Sarah is happy she is down here, at least she isn't housebound as most are up that way. Wondering how long Wendy will be able to take the confinement, she is a going , busy lady too.

I'm rambling, do hope all are well and not to many hardships being dealt with. I know next couple of days are not going to be very nice for so many of you. Please stay safe and hopefully warm.

CArol :) Good morning Donna, hope the weather clears some before your sister has to get back in to it. Enjoy your day

Good foggy morning. Rain moving in later today and overnight.

Was up way too late last night trying to get an update on power outage at home; know it went out about 7:30 and crews were still working on repairs at 11:00PM, no news after that. It included area where my house is and I'm concerned about water lines. Niece lives on other side of town so not effected. More ice/snow on the way.

May have a dangerous outing today: Sandy asked if I'd like to go to Camping World with her. That is usually costly even when I'm not looking for anything.

CArol, sure hope you shake that nasty cold soon.

Hope you have a great day

Good Morning... It will be a nice day here but tomorrow will only get to 59... it looks very bad for those on the east coast... do be careful... stay inside and read a book... or do something fun...

Today the converter gets installed... I sure hope that solves the problems... if not it is an expensive no fix!!

Oh be careful at Camping World Sarah... that is a dangerous place for sure...

Have a great day everyone...

It is 8 above this morning but!!! supposed to be 33 today!! It has only been above freezing one day this month so will feel like a heat wave. Good news is the 10 day forecast shows a continuous warming trend to the low sixties by next week! I'll have to turn on the A/C :)
CArol, please take care, if the cold keeps hanging on you might want to see a doctor if you haven't already. I hope you feel better soon!! Sue I don't know how you keep your motivation up, how about sending me some inspiration. Lori, hope the ice doesn't hit where you are, Spinner won't like having his walks curtailed. I wouldn't trade our 8 degrees for your 79 Ava, that's already getting warmer than I like. Glad you don't have to do the jury thing Donna but hope your back gets better. Sarah, I hope they get your electricity on soon, weren't they sending in extra line men for the storm? Have fun at camping world.
Time to get the dogs breakfast so I can have my second course. For those of you in the storm area stay in and I hope your electricity stays on!!!

Blue skies and it's already one degree above zero! Yay! Today is going to be a good day -- especially since I'm meeting friends for lunch. :D

Good Morning,

CArol, that cold needs to go away! Donna, glad you have had time with your sister. Kathleen, hope the converter was the answer. Sarah, keeping good thoughts for your home! Sue, you wear me out just reading of all your projects.

After 3 days of fun, this will be chore day. Yesterday we went out in the desert with the RZR. Desert flowers are blooming! Our destination was a certain mine, but we didn't make it there. Found too many trails with mines, mostly vertical, at the end that we just had to explore. We had a flat tire 25 miles and across a pass from the park. Love the little 'fix-it plugs'! Saw no 4-legged animals :(

Onward!

Yum! Love those! :D

Shockingly, it is already 20 degrees ABOVE zero!!! :o Holy cow!

Got the day off. Lots to do inside today but can finally take out the trash! Been too cold to want to carry it out around to the other side of the apartment building to the dumpster this past week  .

Hope you all have a warm, safe day today! Do something fun inside or out, depending on your weather! Hopefully, things will start getting better for all of us as far as the weather is concerned. It's been a way too long winter!

Now for those bagels....
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
