Good morning, all....

Have been hibernating lately....so just finished catching up with all of you....we're both doing fine here and enjoying our visit with friends here in GA....

We've had to do some RV repairs this month....our converter bit the dust right after we arrived here....thank goodness, our friend, Andy, is talented with not only boats, but RVs, too...had to wait a week for the replacement, but all is "converting" now with a brand new converter....like anything else under warranty, it waited until after the expiration date to quit on us.. ..but we got it done.... and the price was reasonable... ;)

Then the coffee pot quit, too... :o So had to replace that... Knocking on wood, hope that's it for awhile on repairs...

Okay, nothing else to report right now, so will offer you a fresh cup of coffee from the new pot along with some oatmeal....

Have a great day, all..

Mornin' Lori & Donna & all that come later. Fridgid cold here again, but at least we did not get dumped on with 2' of lake effect snow like Indiana got and the east coast is still receiving.

Lori - just a warning - the saying is that things come in 3's. I will jinx you with the hope it's something only as minor as batteries for the remote :D

Good morning all! :D

Wednesday already? Many starting out for the FL gtg! Sarah, I'm so glad you have decided to stick with your plans to go--sounds like things are much better for your niece! Such good news! Hope you & all others traveling to FL have a safe trip. Anita, thanks for pix of Q gtg. Ava, sorry you had to cancel. Hope to see you & many other desert rats when I get to AZ the end of Feb (jello plans ;) )

All is well here in CA. Will catch up with some HS friends this weekend--in the meantime, feeling very useful & enjoying my time with aunt & cousin. Cousin goes to dr today to get smaller cast on foot, which should be more comfortable for her & allow her a bit more mobility...

Y'all have a great day & safe travels always! 8-)

Cold farther south in Illinois too and also thankful we only had about an inch of snow yesterday. The wind was pretty bad and a very large branch fell from one of our pine trees barely brushing our generator! We have a generator that will automatically kick on and keep most every thing running if the power goes out. After the devastating storm that came through in '09 and our power was out for a week we decided for piece of mind alone it was worth the cost.
Not much planned today I need to get different dog food as Toby has decided he just can't eat the variety I've been feeding for a few months. I have several sample packages of different foods so found one he liked and will go get a bag later. I'm a little worried as this happened when I opened a new bag of food, the other two seem ok with it though so maybe it is just a Poodle thing. I looked at a food called Live Smart Hearty Chicken Stew that comes in pouches that a friend recommended. While it is on the Whole Dog Journal list of approved food, I noticed when reading the comments on the Live Smart web site that it is made in Thailand :( :( So much for WDJ's approved list!
I hope the weather warms up and everyone headed to the Florida GTG has safe travels.

Good Morning,

Weird sleep pattern continues so this morning I got up at 5!! That's one way to find time to try to catch up with things - so far the checkbook is caught up!

L and I went to Phoenix for shopping yesterday. I came home and continued online for the wiring we couldn't find for truck and camper. Still have bug shield and mud flaps to order. Will take the RZR out today in search of ring tailed cat that has been seen near an old mine in the desert. I have been told I can have some time on my own after today while L installs backup camera for his camper - practice before he does mine :) Where do I start?!?!

Hope you all have a good day - many of you in spite of the weather!!

Good Morning all... the topic seems to be the continuing unusual weather... the expense of heating will be very high this year...

I thought my Kindle was going when I tried to get back into the book I was reading it would not display it... I finally completely shut it down and in a while turned it on and then started reading!!

Oh Lori I hope things are leveled out now and no more repairs are on the horizon... Carol you are finding so many useful things to do while you meander around the country!

Yes oatmeal is on my menu for breakfast too...
Warm wishes for all...
Kathleen

A quick good morning from Mulege - where Liz and I came for the bank and to fill our tanks with "good" water. Stopped at the internet/bakery/ice cream shop to check in. I mean - with that combination how can we not stop?

Sorry all, but we have beautiful weather. Tina and Mitch headed north today, Liz and I are going just a very short distance south of where we all were the last couple days - to hopefully stay at another beach and play a bit.

Have fun everyone! Stay safe where ever you are - on or off the roads. And warm - inside if necessary for those of you in the frigid temps. Yikes. I heard from my co-worker on the boat the last two summers that it's warmer in Valdez than where she goes to school in Nashville.

Mitch and I have stopped at a nice restaurant for lunch and the we will move on down the road. We are moving north, sort of, but not very far. There is a camp ground on the pacific coast that we are heading to check out. It holds a potential of both some beach watching and some kayaking in a more protected area next door. Don't know about internet so we could be off grid again for a few days.....

......Sarah, I have been thinking of you. Glad to know that you and Nicky will have some R and R.

Nasty weather here. High winds with windchill warnings thru tomorrow. Glad I am getting out of here tomorrow afternoon! Florida is not exactly balmy right now either but a lot better than here! I will take 60 over -15 any day!

Gotta do some last minute cleaning around here and start packing (or re-packing. No need for the 5 pairs of shorts/tank tops and swimsuit I already threw in my suitcase  ).

I guess my girlfriend Cathy and I will be going to a Kumquat Festival on Saturday. I don't even know what a kumquat is  .
Hopefully, it will be warm enough to go into the springs to see the manatees. They don't allow kayaks in that area if there are a lot of manatees due to the cold weather, so they don't get stressed out.

Hope all that are in the cold and/or snowy areas are hunkered down keeping warm! The Baja Babes are about the only ones enjoying nice warm weather!

Nice weather in Southeastern Arizona at Sierra Vista. A little bit of wind, I wouldn't have wanted to be driving my RV along I-10, but not too bad. Running around in my toad...checking out ghost towns and museums. Found myself on a 4 mile hike, and I don't quite know how... You know...follow this sign to the cemetery...and then the river is just beyond...loop is 2.2, but when you're done, you look back at the sign and now it says...3.8. Forgot my cell phone, and the camera battery died. Sigh... I lived in Phoenix during my high schools years and was stationed in Tucson for 2 years, but I never really got a sense of the history of the area until now. Beautiful mountains, beautiful weather...
