Friday & a still quiet MC

Mornin Ladies - still quiet here in MC - a carry over from yesterday. :( Guess the opinions are right - no one is traveling much except for the Baja Babes & a few others. The rest of us are hibernating. Spring can't get here soon enough. Off work today, using up some vaycay time. Only plan is to run to Dad's house for an errand for him. As usual, he took off for Florida for the winter & forgot something again - this time his tax papers  Have a good day everyone.

Good Morning All!

I have no clue what/where MC is, but whatever, glad to hear it's quiet there. It's a cool start to the day here in S. Cloud, Florida, but the sun is warming it up fast. If it gets warm enough this afternoon, I would like to wash this trailer and get it all spiffied up! Hope you all find something fun to do today, wherever you may be.

Good Morning !!! Cold here, thinking my small heater is not working like it should. Its very old and think the heating element is not up to par anymore. Have been thinking for ages and looking for a new one. Any ideas on good ones that aren't to large ?/ I'm in mid Fl and baby its cold out there. Thinking of you this morning, Kathleen don't think you came south enough this year.

Not much on the agenda, need to do a little shopping for a new baby in the family. My niece's first grandbaby. She is so excited, she had two boys and this little one coming is a girl, so she really is excited :)

Maggie, is saying she'd like to go out soon, although she isn't really after me, because she knows its really cold too :D Its past her time and she isn't excited to go out at all, she and I, do not like to be cold anymore :)

Another week end is here, My Sis has plans for a couple of family outings, with her children, not sure I want to tag along. Need to make up my mind on that today.

Hoping you all have a good week end, take care , stay safe and in most cases try to keep warm.,

CArol :)
Soos, MC is morning coffee thread, and yes it has become very quiet, think its hibernating LOL !!! with the rest of us, you sound very ambitious though.

Good Morning
Just saw forecast saying another Polar Vortex coming late next week; do NOT need that for sure.
Niece has remained stable since Tuesday. If no change last night, doctor may move her to a transition room today. From what I understand, transition room differs from ICU only in that visiting hours are more generous and the ratio of nurses to patients is a little less.
Not sure what I'm doing today.
Hope your day is a good one.

  Soos! You are too funny! (MC= Morning Coffee) :D

Lots to do today. My last day off before my trip so need to get everything caught up today (laundry, cleaning, shopping, etc). Not exactly the best way to spend my birthday, but it is too cold to do anything fun. Will save that for Florida and celebrate when I get there!

Another Polar Vortex! Aren't those supposed to come every couple years, not every couple weeks?!!!
I see that even Florida is chilly. Down below freezing last night all the way to Miami. Hope that gets better by next week!

I am off and running! Have a good day and stay warm!

Not much going on here. It's sunny and should get up to low 60's but back down to near freezing tonight. I think it's going to warm up this weekend. Sarah, I saw that about another Polar Vortex. Our weather man doesn't know if it will come straight South or slide off to the East. Our coldest weather is usually in February. Sure hope it isn't colder than it has been. Our poor orange tree is looking pretty sad. I keep wrapping it but don't know if that has helped.

Yesterday and today I woke up with my nose running away. I thought I was coming down with a cold but after a couple of hours of blowing it stops. Hope I'm not allergic to cats.

My sister is coming Sunday for a doctor's appointment near here next week. Guess I could clean house instead of waiting until the last minute. I did get a box of my son's stuff moved out to the old house. Anything that goes in there could probably just go straight to the trash. My older son was doing good at going through his things but got busy and it's just sitting. If they aren't worried about their stuff I don't know why I should be. I have a bag of things to go to the donation place. That would be a good excuse to go to town and not clean house.

Good morning ladies
All is well in my end of the world, with the exceptions of as few
shenanigans a certain individual tried to pull. The stress will end
soon, but its been a good three years until recently, so I can't complain.
Ya'll have a good day and be safe, and especially be warm.

Another Good Afternoon! Cold here today, 22 but feels like 10. The temps keep going up and down which makes it hard, tomorrow it is supposed to be in the forties  .

I actually have some exciting news, well it is exciting for me :) I paid off our mortgage today :!: :!: :!: What a huge relief. I had to go to the bank and make a deposit, then get a cashiers check. There was no line and yet I was there for at least 20 minutes for what used to be a simple transaction, well it was simple back in the days when I worked at a bank, before computers. Anyway I am very happy!

Congratulations on the new nephew Vickie and to CArol for the anticipation of a little girl coming to your family.

Hooray for your new truck Anita, maybe spending money just takes more time these days.

Well it's a shade busier in MC today. Sorry Soos - just figured everyone knew that MC = Morning Coffee.

Sarah - Glad to hear your niece is more stable. May she continue to improve.

VickiP - Happy congrats on the new great nephew. You sure don't look old enough to have a second generation starting. :P

Yippie Anita on the truck. What color? I think they keep you in the office so long in the hope you'd break down and buy all those extra things they offer.

Redetotry - woohoo!! More $$$ now for gas. (wanna take over my payment? :D )

Martha hope the nose doesn't turn to a full blown cold. Had a image flash thru my head of a nose with feet!

So where do I sent the check?
I'm 53. My sister, who's two years older than me is the proud Grandma. This is her 6th grandbaby.

Anita, I think the reason I keep a vehicle 10 years is because I hate to deal with the salesmen so much. The sales girl was at her computer for an hour for one vehicle I looked at. She comes back with 2 legal pages of figures which managed to wipe out the trade-in. I told her the way I figured it wasn't near as hard. You take the advertised price(which she acted like she wasn't aware of), you subtract the trade-in and add the sales tax. One dealer in the area does the bait and switch. If you go in to look at the sale vehicle they are out of them but have a good deal on something else. But they keep running the sales ad on TV for the next month.
