I woke up late at 5am to 65F degrees in my little old motorhome in Melbourne FLorida. I just love getting up before the sunrise, opening all the shades and waiting to watch the sun come up. It's a daily miracle I can't seem to get tired of at all. Many days I am up by 4am, waiting on that gorgeous sun rise. I spend the darkness time doing mundane things like yesterday's dishes, sweeping the floor, washing a small load of clothes. (I have a compact washer).
Whenever I sleep past sunrise, I feel such guilt that I missed out on a gorgeous "morning has broken" miracle. In this time of year with super short days, I want to enjoy every minute of daylight and sunshine.
My dog on the other hand, will hide under the covers or his blanket or my pillow, so the sunlight doesn't bother him. He wants to sleep in late and ignore my silly early morning antics. It means I can't make up the bed until I can get him out of it later in the morning, but that's OK too. I am just so glad I have a silly little dog to travel with.
Life is grand.
The sun came up so I know it's going to be a fantastic day!
