Yoo Hoo, it's Tuesday!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Yoo Hoo, it's Tuesday!

Postby Colliemom » Tue Nov 26, 2013 8:44 am

Yoo Hoo, it's 8:36 a.m. here in MI and nobody's got coffee going on this chilly, cloud morning. Well, guess I had better fire up the maker. Got orange juice, oatmeal, toast and strawberries here if anybody's interested.

Not a whole lot on agenda today. Some painting on kitchen soffits which has gotten way laid by other things and then trip to vet with Sassy for checkup and booster shot. With that and a nice bath yesterday, she's ready to head north which is more than I can say for her owner who has to pack and finish last minute things, appts. and so forth before we leave end of nest week

Seems like everybody's kind of in the same old as far as daily doings are concerned this week. A lot of you probably getting ready to immerse yourselves into preparing the holiday dinner or heading to one in another day. Chris, I hope you and hubby get out of Camp Red Bay so you can proceed to FL, although the though of a free thanksgiving dinner isn't bad either.

Kathleen, glad to hear you are now safely in FL and hope you are feeling much better. I'm sure you will enjoy the warmer winter weather there and I know you will be visited by forum sisters as they pass through and settle for the winter in your area.

I'm dreaming of the day, when I will be hitting the road again, but will be next summer at earliest unless something pops up this winter. We shall see what happens here.

Time to get with the painting project and get that done. Small job, shouldn't take long. Have a great day all.

Good Morning Sue and all to follow!

I was wondering if you were still at home or had already headed north, Sue. Have missed you in the chatroom lately on Facebook.

It's overcast and misting/spitting rain on and off here in Orlando today, but nice and warm----72 degrees. I see that it's cold and icy and snowy back in the mountains today. I would love to hunker down next to a warm fire with family, but am glad I am not there to weather a winter storm alone any more.

Lots of people down here in the Florida area now, and I guess I should try to make a map of where everyone is. Carolb and I were trying to figure out the whereabouts of our members. Hope Carol got to her aunt's safely yesterday. Think I will go to Lowes to have them mix me up a quart of paint for one of my bathroom vanities. After I paint that, and then the walls with another color, I will try to find some tile to go in there. I have a very colorful rug in there with bright colors that I am trying to match to make a bright place! After Lowes today, I will find the closest Home Depot to check out vinyl tiles for the floors of both bathrooms.

Happy Tuesday to all!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

I rode my trike yesterday but today is a wash with the rain… should be warm though… sorry about the storms up north…

Sue glad you are headed to the far north I know you do so enjoy your trips there…

Good Morning to All. Have some good Mexican pastries to share. But that's about all. We are still in the San Carlos Guaymas area at least for today. Tomorrow I think we'll for sure be heading down the road a piece to Huatabampito. We went to a town we've never been to yesterday. It was built in the late 1800s by the Southern Pacific railroad. Still is a big railroad hub. Interesting. Then out to dinner with our neighbors to an Italian restaurant. Pretty good.
Weather is beautiful - high 70s during the day.
Not much else to say. Except to get my blog post about yesterday done.
Everyone in Florida or heading there - be careful of the weather. Those of you on your way to Baja - drive careful.

Good morning, Sue, and all that follow....

I've been up since 7am, but just being lazy, reading stuff here and on FB.....so, thanks for the coffee and breakfast items, Sue, the rain here has me not wanting to be creative today....

But, I hope the weather doesn't spoil our plans today....cause 37 yrs ago at 7pm this evening, I married my best friend and the love of my life.. :D ..we had planned to visit a local historic mansion in St. Mary's then have lunch in town....well, looks like the tour is out, but we still plan to dodge the rain drops and go to lunch....then it will be a quiet afternoon with a light supper with a little wine here at the 5er....

Got the fridge defrosted & cleaned yesterday....tomorrow, will vaccum, mopped, and cleanup....we hit the road on Sunday for the Crystal River area of FL for a month....near Chieftain, if anyone is in the area....let me know .... ;)

Okay, better stop for now...

Stay safe and have a great day, all...

Good morning. They got everything done in one day. Yahoo! We just hit the road and heading south as fast as is safe. No matter how far we get we won't miss the freezing temps. But hope to miss the snow predicted for these latitudes. It is a scary day to be on the road. Everyone stay safe and warm. Aloha

Be careful on the road Red, there is some bad weather in the Florida Panhandle. Our rain is almost out of here. I'm not looking forward to two nights of freezing temperatures. We have so many faucets and water troughs that something is bound to break. The neighbor just bought 30 calves. He will be lucky if they don't get sick.

I need to go to town again, we are out of coffee filters. I had bought some at Sam's and I thought for sure I still had some but they are well hidden if I do. Also out of light bulbs. My DH's floor lamp is going out. I can remember when lamps lasted forever but not any more. My son tried to fix one but nothing is standard and it's hard to find the right parts. I know a place that fixes lamps but you can buy another one for what they charge. It's always something.

Beautiful sunny morning here in Anza-Borrego State Park! Such a wonderful view of the mountains and valley. Just got done changing my bed, putting on my down coverlet, and changing out the towels in the bathroom. Luckily I had vacuumed a couple of days ago. Whew. Glad this place is not bigger! Hopefully today I will get to washing the whole vehicle on the outside. I was told second-hand it was OK, but want to go down to the camp hosts and double check. Supposed to be a pleasant, fairly warm day.

And I don't have any papers to grade until Thursday! Yea.

Did that. Good films, and very pleasant walk to campground along the cement path. I also love this place!

Does the Sultan know about that? Happy anniversary! :D

..........................................
Cold and windy today. Brrrr!! Supposed to warm up some the rest of the week tho. Been pretty busy at work this past week with holiday haircuts.

Am spending Turkey Day at one of my brothers' house. I don't have to bring anything but rolls and my dad :D I bought a Marie Callender's Dutch apple pie, but they don't need that, so I will keep it for myself! :D

I saw a kayak advertised for Black Friday at a local store that I really want! It is half price and comes with a paddle and cartop carrier. I just have to be at the store at 6am on Friday  to try to get one. It is a hardsided kayak but is very nice for the price $149 and the reviews on it are really good. So, we'll see if I can motivate myself to get up at 0'dark thirty to get there in time to get one! As a rule, I never go shopping on BF, but am making an exception for this.
Wish me luck!

Happy Anniversary, Lori and Ernie ... hope you dodge the rain drops and have a wonderful day out and about - with some good food thrown in (I know there will be some good libations there as well :) )

Happy Tuesday, everyone ... It's my Monday - head to work shortly - back on OT ... so will be putting in 50 hours this week unless anything changes.

Peaches is trying to find some treats, so think I'll go help her.
