Good Morning Donna and all who follow,
Donna, I know what you mean about rain. We have had so much up here since October, that the lakes are rising and when the storms came through on Sunday, got dumped with 2 inches of it.
Been reading the past few days posts and wow, lots going on. Anita seems to have some great neighbors where's she's staying Lori thought she had a "Rocky" and turns out to be a "Rover"
, Carolb had quite a visit to the space center and then got to watch a spectacular lauch, Linda with dead battery
, things are happening in our world out there.
Not much doing around here, same old. Did find out late on Monday that what had been though was straight line winds about 3 miles down the road from me here, taking out a bunch of trees, turned out to be a small EFzero tornado
Hit the ground for less than a minute and was here and gone so fast the NWS didn't even get a warning out. Later after they looked at the damage, path about 150 yards wide and 3/10ths mile long, checked their radar images from day before, determined it was indeed a very week tornado. Those things are rare In these parts and it's only the 2nd one I know of near here in 56 years. Thankfully despite the fact it was only a little one with winds about 65-75 mph, it was in an area where nobody's around (woods) and nobody got hurt on I-75 when it knocked a bunch of trees down on the highway, closing both north and southbound lanes. Had it been less than a mile farther north, it would have hit into Waters and probably caused a bit of building damage not to mention the RV's in winter storage and at the dealers down there as well. Now we are going back to winter.
Nothing much on agenda today. Just to town and then home. Baked a bunch of Spritz Butter cookies for Christmas trip up north in two weeks and put them in freezer. Would like to bake some others, but freezer is full and no place to put them. Thinking of putting them in plastic bins in cooler in unheated garage till I leave so they will keep. I hope.
Well, enough chatter for this morning. You all have a great day out there
