Rainy Sunday in GA

Good morning, all....yep, raining in SE GA right now....Spinner and I just made it back from our morning walk before it started...

We drove up to our friends in Darien to return their "Low Country Boil" pot yesterday....Didn't do the Boil cause the shrimp is too expensive to do a "group" meal like that....It's over $11 a pound right now and because of all the rain in the area and along the coast the shrimp are all "hiding" in tributaries or way out at sea right now...

Today is the last race of the season for NASCAR...then we'll have racing withdraw until Feb....so guess it's football until then.... ;)

Okay, coffee is on and a coffee cake is on the table....

Have a great day, all.... :D

Good morning ladies
slept good last night, only woke up a couple times. Son did another yard sale yesterday so it was a tad busy around here. The sewer
backed up on the one side of the complex and I guess the plumber is coming today. I hope so, cause my coffee can is getting full. Good
thing I got all my laundry done yesterday morning but I can't get my bath today unless they snake the main drain. Then of course I'll have
to scour the tub first as the toilet was backing up into the bathtub   This is not a good day. Just might have to stand out in
the yard and wash my hair under the garden hose.
Guess I'll sit and watch movies today, picked up a couple for my grandson recently and really need to watch them to make sure they
are what they are suppose to be. Two of my favorites, The Lion King and Finding Nemo.
Ready for a refill on the coffee, ya'll have a great day and be safe.

Good morning Lori, Ava & everyone!

Lori, sorry it's raining again in GA. Hopefully the temperatures are decent for you.

Ava, sorry to hear about the plumbing issues. Sure hope that gets fixed real soon.

Started out quite foggy this morning but the sun is already burning it off. I'm off to church in a bit but I get to sit in the congregation today and I'll play again next Sunday. I made an offer to the assisted living facility where Dad is to play the organ & piano for them for the next couple Tuesday's. Don't know if I'll continue with that through December until we leave south for the winter.

Carolb, have fun tomorrow at the launch. Kathleen, sorry to hear about the repair to Hope, but at least you're almost ready to leave for FL. To everyone, be safe wherever you are and enjoy life.

Good Morning to all!

It's a bright, sunny, and warm (75 deg. already) day here at the trailer in St. Cloud. Kids and I plan to go to see a wildlife rehabilitator place this afternoon. Other than that, it's an enjoy the weather, throw the dogs some toys to fetch, get caught up on email and forums day! Happy Sunday to all!

Good morning, everyone!

Beautiful day in KS - yesterday was in the upper 60's, have a cold front coming thru now so it'll drop to the 50's but for November in KS, it's fabulous! Have doors & windows open as long as I can.

Need to catch up on all the happenings here...
JudyJB, hope 'things' get feeling better,
Ava, sorry about the sewer problem - I hate plumbing issues!,
Carolb & Soos, glad you're both in to FL,
Chris, so glad you're taking big RED out on your own & having GTGs,
Sarah, keeping your niece in my prayes,
Barbie, cookies sounds like a good idea.. :D
Lori, hope the rains clears out soon,
To those traveling those CA passes, hope you've made it through without too much snow,
Sharon, you sound like my daughter in SanDiego - she complained becasue it was in the 60's & 'gloomy' - I reminded her what it was like here on Monday - 19 with a high of 35! She explained you just get used to perfect weather out there everyday so gloomy is not acceptable!   Love that she's acclimated so quickly to paradise.

Starting to figure out Thanksgiving with 3 of my 4 kids out of town. ;) Remaining son's wife wants to fix dinner - it's not the same as what our big family has always had - what to do, what to do... May just stop in at various sib's & son's home. Miss having the kids all here... :(

Well, going to get out & enjoy this beautiful day.
Hope everyone enjoys whatever today brings! :D

Good Morning,

Catherine, with a daughter near Manhattan, I keep an eye on your weather! I think our rain forecast has passed for now.

Sarah, I was sorry to read about the not so good news your niece received.

I had one of my awake from 5 to 7 mornings then back to sleep until late. A niece called needing to talk - she has an out of control 4 year old. Luckily, the 7 month old is pretty much an angel at this point. Hubby has been out of town for nearly a month and she's feeling pretty overwhelmed with the 4 yo. I had one of those tho not to this extreme. No advice for her, but I can listen.

Along with my truck and genealogy research, I have been looking at Alaska cruises - think my younger daughter and I may take one next summer. I didn't get my fill of water and glaciers last year. Fun to think about!

Hope everyone has a great day and all the pesky problems go away!

Not a good start to the morning here. Woke up around daylight with tooth ache and most joints unhappy. That tooth has been bothering me off and on since mid Sept.; not sure why I keep putting off having it pulled other than reluctant to give up another tooth. At least I have a good pot of soup made and it doesn't require much chewing.
In mid 60s with light rain but storms moving in with potential for some severe weather later today.
Cannot believe as bad as I felt was out blowing leaves, clearing yard drains before 8:00 AM but task had to be done before heavy rain sets in. Light mist had started before I finished. Of curse now I have a stuffed up head to go with everything else.
Seriously considering an Aleve, a long hot shower and crawling back under the covers for a while. As warm as it is outside, I'm turning the heat on to warm the house a bit before shower.
Have watched several of the documentaries on Kennedy this week. Hard to believe it has been 50 years. I doubt there are many over the age of 55 who do not remember where they were, what they were doing when the news of shooting came on the air.
I hope the rest of you have a good day. Making mine a relaxing one sounds better already.

Feeling good and heading into San Francisco today with son and kids to visit Academy of Science. Then going to get son to help me with packing up to get ready to leave tomorrow. Heading south and none too soon because it is getting chilly around here! Or at least chilly for California. Heading for Death Valley next week and really looking forward to that since it has been 45 years since I was last there!

Water pump is misbehaving. It usually takes a very long time to prime when it hasn't been used for a while but two hours is ridiculous. Think maybe it is leaking air somewhere. Will get son to stick his head in there and listen and look. It is just too buried for me to work on. There is a Camping World and Fleetwood dealer in Bakersfield where I will be on Monday night, so that is an option also.

Good day, everyone!

Good Morning! Not much to say.

Judy, check the filter on your pump. Our friends were having trouble on a camping trip and all it took was cleaning a filter in the pump.

There's a filter on our pumps?
Well, dang - never knew that.
All pumps?

:D :D :D

We just had bad storms move through the area and tornado warnings. The dogs were so funny they came in the small bathroom where we were without any encouragement. It must have rained really hard as when I went out water was standing in any low spots. The sun is shining now and it is 72 degrees  so Toby and I went for a walk. Had to laugh as his friend Wiggy was on the roof with his owner 'helping' clean out the gutters!

Sarah sorry you are feeling bad, hope you can see a dentist tomorrow!

Hearing storm reports coming in, Brookport bridge going into Paducah, Ky from IL is closed guess a tornado just hit that area.I hope this ends soon, there is a large area still under storm warnings.

It's more a strainer than a filter...and no, not all water pumps have them. It's pretty obvious if you have one, it's clear plastic. Just turn off the pump and unscrew the top. Clean and replace.

Wow bad bad Sunday… I was locked in Bed Bath and Beyond because of the tornado warning.. was kept in a hall way for an hour shoulder to shoulder with other shoppers and staff… power was out… they said thousands were without power… strange weather for sure… we are still in the solid red area… high wind warnings… when I left the manager said he did not advise leaving however I did… was concerned about Shadow…

my power just came on and weather channel say 50 some mobile homes destroyed in southern Il… oh how sad…

Oh Sarah I hope your tooth can be saved… and I hope you got a hot shower and went under the covers…

Be safe everyone…

Kathy Kathleen
