Goooood Morning Sistahs!!!!

Yep it's Saturday, the first day of the weekend. A work day for me but we only have to put in 8hrs today and we gots tomorrow, Sunday off. Boy am I gonna enjoy that. I checked my time card and if I remember right? I will have 124hrs in for the past 2 weeks. Been doing that kind of over time for the past 8 weeks for sure and I think we started it the last two weeks of October? That many weeks of that kind of over time wears a body down. And altho they haven't been riding us as badly as they did last month ? the tension is still there. Tempers are kinda short at work. I won $10 at work yesterday?? Have no idea why??? But my pocket was glad of it!!! I'll have to ask why I won it?

Temps aren't bad at all out on my back porch this morning. It was warmer yesterday morning but it's still decent enough that I'm not gonna argue with it. And it has finally quit raining. We were at a 6.?" deficit, have no idea if the past 3 days did much good at putting a dent in that or not? It didn't rain all that much mostly just drizzle and mist enough to make it mucky. I know that everything sure is soggy out there, and that the ground squelches when ya step on it. If I were gonna do much walking around on it I would be wanting to wear barn boots. I've been kicking around getting a pair of them. Barn boots have become a fashion statement! They come in pretty colors and all decorated. Who in their right mind would have ever thought that barn boots would become popular to wear for fashion!!! sheesh I guess that's why fashion designers have more money than I do.

Ok coffee is awaiting along with some other goodies. Got cinnamon rolls, biscuits and gravy and of course Barbz Biscotte. Come on Sistahs sit a spell and enjoy. No place finer than Barbz table.

Hope everyone has a great day and stays safe.

Love to all

Good morning Echo,... thanks for getting the coffee on this a.m. That's a heck of a paycheck you'll get, but wowwweeeee,... that kind of schedule would kill me. they better be paying you solid time and a half for OT and double time for sundays!

We got hit with a snowstorm yesterday, guess it started about 2 p.m. I was in the school's auditorium from 1-3 for the highschool student showcase so was surprised to come out to a mess. I had our secret santa party after school at three then at 5 our faculty/staff dinner,... I didn't go to that but left for home at 4 p.m,... drove 25 mph all the way home in 4wd. gotta love my "Baby"... my Ford Escape. She's got all new snow tires so she did just fine.

Today is my gift to me,... to do just what i want to do,... watch a movie, wrap gifts, whatever,... if I don't want to do it I just won't! Then I'll have to buckle down and get the last of the Christmas stuff done.

Hope everyone is waking up to a good day,... catch you all again later,...

good morning, good morning
I actually slept in this morning, and when the alarm went off I rolled over, shut it off,
rolled back over and went back to sleep, now THAT felt good!
Its definately nippy out this morning, must have been 40 something when I opened
the door to let the dog out and he took one sniff and high tailed it back to the recliner
and decided to wait for the sun to come up. It was funny. Suns up now and he just
came back in and nobody is bugging me for breakfast, hmm wonder whats up with
that. Gotta get the dishes done so I can hook up the washer and get the wash going.
Although the sun is shining and I could hang stuff on the line, I think I'll take it to
the laundry room and toss it in the dryer, its just quicker.
Have a whole list of "things to do" while I'm off these two weeks and as I check things
off that are done I think of other stuff to add to it and so it goes on....and on. But I
do get stuff accomplished that way. I'm off to do the domestic stuff, tah tah for now.

This is what it's looking like here out on my deck this morning! Guess I won't be taking my coffee out there!

Temperature is +1 F., wind has died down, so it's rather pleasant! And that's a good thing, as I must go out and shovel off open front deck, sweep off covered, screened deck where wind blew in tons of snow, sweep/shovel out wood piles and bring in more firewood. Other than that, I had planned to go shopping locally today, but, unless I get plowed out, guess I'll just sit tight here and do what Cedar is doing after the sweeping/shoveling stuff! I also need to strip upstairs bed and clean up there to get ready for son and girlfriend who will arrive in a week from FL. Temp up there is like outside, as I have it all closed off for the winter! It'll be a QUICK cleaning!

Echo, I LOVE your idea of getting some fashionable mucker boots to replace my strictly utilitarian shiny black ones! I'll have to look for some of those fancy ones! I wear mine all spring when I have to park on the paved road and walk in my mucky driveway.

Guess I'll go read other messages while sipping on my coffee....thanks for opening up the kitchen this am, Echo!

Happy Saturday to us all......is tomorrow the first day of winter, or is it today or the day after tomorrow? I can never remember if it's the 20th, 21st, or 22nd! I suppose I could look it up.....something I tell my kids at school to do each and every day in the library! Sigh!

Sunday is forecast to bring us another, even BIGGER snowstorm, into Monday morning. Two snow days before Christmas vacation would be a GREAT Christmas present!

Happy travels!

Morning....have my trusty insulated mug filled and will sit down and visit for a spell. I won't be going far today we're in a blizzard warning until 6am tomorrow morning. Just about all basketball games, church programs, city Christmas festivites, etc in the eatern part of the state have been cancelled or postponed...several businesses are closed also. I predict that I will have a severe case of cabin fever by the time I go back to work on Monday! I'm one of those people who just can't seem to accomplish much during a blizzard, I need sunshine to get myself motivated. It appears that we're in for a long winter and darn it...I just hate having to use my annual leave because I am snowed in. Those days are suppose to be for camping! One thing I have to get done today is search the basement for more hidden potatoes. We have a utility/mud room in the basement and DH had left a box of potatoes in it also left the door open into the family room. Well Radar must have had a wild hair up her butt and her season's mixed-up and thought it was Easter...she had potatoes hid in the cushions of both couches and the recliners. While we were tearing cushions off furniture last night searching for potatoes, she had the nerve to sit on one of the recliners and bark at us. Sometimes I wish I had a video cam set up on her during the day...I wonder if she hurries while she does things like this or if she knows she has all day and takes her own sweet time. She's always been a "stasher" to the point the boys used to call her "Templeton" after the rat in Charlotte's Web. Used to be things were always hidden under our bed and if you couldn't find something it was the first place to look..guess she has decided she needed to be more creative. She'll be eight in February...maybe this will be the year that she grows up. :D Have a good day!

Good morning from WARM texas! Last night I woke up at 2 am, looked at the temperature to see it was 70*! A bit overcast this morning, but no worry of rain (or snow!).

Radar makes me think of my toddler DGD, it's also a game of hide while she's here and then seeking after she's gone!

Echo, your work schedule is beyond the pale, I hope you get a break for the holiday next week.

I'm going out for a walk, then helping with DGD and Xmas preparations for rest of day.

Have fun in the snow you gals up north.....

Good morning too all. It's cool and foggy in central FL this am, but expected to warm to near 80 by this afternoon. Right now I'm shivering over Nasoosie's photo, and from watching all the winter storm warnings on TWC.

I haven't done any chores yet today, but did get a little yard work done yesterday. Don't feel like goal setting today, so I guess I'll just copy what Cedar's doing. See you later!

Good morning every one from Mexico - I thought I got up early but guess being in this time zone makes my early your late. And I was complaining yesterday about it being cold - 65 with wind. After seeing that snow picture I will shut up. Now that is winter. Understand the schools in Vegas were closed two days cause of the snow....even Indiana isn't that bad.
Today the sun is shinning and it is supposed to lots warmer. We went over to the bakery in Old Kino yesterday but they were out of bread and wouldn't have any more until 3 in the afternoon. We need to get back into the right thinking mode for living here.
Echo - boy you should have some spending change in your pocket if you can stay awake to use it. That would knock me for a loop. Maybe post some pictures from here later.

Good morning all !
It's cool and a little rainy today - just sprinkles so not too bad.
I'm out of propane - again !!! I don't know why I can't keep the tanks full - I don't think of it till I'm out !!! I have 2 tanks and there's an deal that's suppose to switch from tank 1 to tank 2 when tank 1 is empty and it's suppose to show which tank I'm on - either that doesn't work or the propane from tank 2 just disappears !! ARGH !!! I think I'll just leave tank 2 turned off - that way when I run out I can just manually switch over to it and fill #1 - maybe that'll work.
Hope you all have a great day ! Stay warm !!

Trudy, we don't depend on that "auto" switch thingy.....we just keep one on and when that one is empty, we do the manual switching....then have the empty one filled.....

Sun is making its appearance this morning, working on burning off the fog....geez, couldn't even see Donna and Mike's camper this morning....it was so foggy, but the temp. is to be in the mid 70s to 80 today......tomorrow is to be a different story, rainy with temp. around 50.....Oh, well,

Have a great day, all...............

Slept in this am - since I had such a late night. Was still foggy when I got up - Peaches and I walked the beach, but not as long as normal, as I always worry when it's foggy that some kid will come driving goofy and spin out or something and we won't be able to get out of the way. It's okay when we're walking the water line, but both Peaches and I also like to walk in the looser sand. But we were still out for almost 1 1/2 hours from the time we left till returning - course that included lots of time chatting and visiting here in the park, too.

Going to see if I can get a similar forum put together today for my singles group - hopefully between today and tomorrow I can at least get it up and running, then get it tweaked later. That group is on an MSN base that is being discontinued - so this needs to be done.

Tonight is bingo :)

Have a great day, all!

Trudy, I do what Lori and Ernie do,... switch manually. And remember to close the empty tank before you switch over and open your full tank. That way your gas won't back flow into the empty one. someone told me to do that years ago,... how about it gals,.. is that true?

Gooooood Evening Sistahs!!!

My mistake. I only have 122hrs in at work for the past 2wks. But I think that is enough. That contest that they are having? I'm not even gonna try. I'm gonna put in my hours that are needed but I'm not busting my but any more than I have to. I'm to old for that crap. I'll let the young'ins have at it. Well at least when they can bother to show up for work at all. sheesh

I am so looking forward to tomorrow. My second day off this month. Ahhhhhh I think in January I am not gonna work the 4hrs on my Fridays off and I am only gonna work 4hrs on my Saturdays off. Sounds good to me!!! LOL
