Good Morning to All - Wow it is 8:00 here in Pacific Time and no one has posted yet.....what's up? Have coffe and pastries from the Argentine market here in Vegas.
We extended our stay here for a couple of days - leaving here tomorrow for Arizona as far as Wickenburg (sp?) and then on to Amado and Mexico next week - after the last NASCAR race.
Been taking it easy the last few days since our friends went home. Bill pulled his back and is moving kind of slow but getting better each day. Every one enjoy your day.

Good Morning, it still is, but barely. Where is everyone ??? I can't believe this, its almost noon. Maybe you all are getting ready for the nasty weather headed our way. I was up and out to the propane co. first thing, as its going down into the teens and snow expected. None to lay on ground for long, they're saying. So far day is going as news reported. Started out with a nice sunny morning, then became overcast and now looks very wintery out there and wind is blowing , leaves , limbs everywhere, and getting colder by the minute.

Hopefully I'm out of here, Sunday. This morning found new homeowners insurance, will take care of that, when I go into town. Now if the mail will just deliver the other information I need this week.

This weather will probably put a stop to lady who is interested in my old furniture making a trip out before I leave. But I've already decided she can catch me in the spring. if she doesn't make it now. Winter is moving in a wee earlier then usual, or that I wanted

Well, hopefully all is well with everyone, probably others posting as I do this one. Take care, those on the road, safe travels, hope the winds stay down, enjoy the trip

Not as warm here today as I had hoped but still going on a bike ride up to Idylwild, probably last one of the season to the mountains. I can ride in the cold weather but I certainly don't go looking for it!

Got some things done in Hope yesterday, clean bedding and some vacuuming....sure is going slow for some reason. To much other stuff going on, I guess. Had a great BBQ over at the kids on Sat....pork butt and tri tip..yum! They do an awesome job smoking the meat. I told DD she needed to put some potatoes in there, too. Said she'd never heard of that. Guess I'm still educating her. LOL!

Good frosty morning, It is cold here and supposed to get colder. I woke up with the cold virus that's going around thankfully the person I had scheduled for hypnosis cancelled! My voice is toast, sure came on fast I was fine until about eight last night.
Sharon you need one of those electric suits to ride in cold weather. A couple we know just got them and they are so happy they can now ride all winter.
CArol glad to here you are heading out, safe travels!! I wonder how Carolb and her brother are doing on their trip south.
It's time for lunch instead of breakfast, I have a cold bottle of hard cider in the fridge and I think I'll have it with my chicken soup.

NOT a good morning here… Did a stupid thing last week and de winterized the mh now the pipes in the kitchen are frozen. Have an electric problem also. Have the generator running to keep the furnace going… Sure was not thinking when I did this… hope it thaws out… I will keep the generator going tonight so the pipes will be ok… have an appointment for Thursday morning (yikes 8 am did not know that was a time) at the rv place I use for repairs… hope the pipes are ok… the pvc has give so it may be ok… keep your fingers crossed please...

I did have a wonderful visit from my nieces son Tommy and grandson Alex… long story but will try to tell it… the Alex's father was killed using drugs… he had 3 boys… his girlfriend the mother of the children is also a druggie… my niece Debbie has two of the boys… Tommy (he is a homosexual) took the baby Alex… Alex is 2 now… ever so cute… Tommy's adoption will be final the end of the month… He is a good father for Alex… guess we all have stories at our age…

Anyway they stayed I had home made potato soup with ham for them… I thought they would stay the night but they were on the end of their vacation and wanted to get home to their animals… 2 dogs and 5 cats… whew oh to be young!! Tommy is a mortician… they are moving back to Michigan on Friday...

Setting the timer to check the pipes every hour… tried a small heater under the sink but I think it is in the belly of the beast… lol

Good morning all, I kind of like the cooler temps. Like change of seasons. Light dusting of snow where I left KY the other day. BJ, what kind of extension cords do your friends have for those electric suits???? ( Maybe Id better say because we have new people, I am making a joke!) Wendy

It is a local cider made at Von Jacob Vineyard. YUMMM0 feeling better already.

BJ, Zicam also works great for the onset of a cold. I swear by it! Hope you feel better soon!

Slept til noon today. It is a vacation day for me! Lots of little projects to do around here today.

It got down to 11 degrees overnight! Brrr! Not ready for this yet! Will start warming up some tomorrow tho. I sure miss SoCal this time of year!

Sharon, I love Idyllwild! Have a good trip up there! (Keep your eyes on the road on those curves tho!). Am anxious to hear how you like your new bike. I would like something like that as a starter bike. (or maybe I should start with a scooter! ).

I don't know why I have been waking up at 6:30 and this morning at 5:30! I am an 8 o'clock person, but not since daylight savings changed.

I fiddled around and finally went for a walk at 9:15 - humid!! Came back after 1/2 hour to sit in front of the fan.

Hoping Carolb checks in soon. Kathleen, she stays at her sister's somewhere near Ocala. Will keep fingers crossed about your frozen pipes.

BJ, I guess it is that time of year....I have also used ZiCam.

Hope everyone's day is going well.

Just called my urologist and talked to his nurse. She seemed a little more sympathetic than the doctor did right after the surgery. (Isn't that typical?) I told her the stent was driving me crazy because it was causing me so much pain when I moved, even to take a shower or fix a sandwich. About the only time it does not hurt is when I lay in bed without rolling over and when I sit very quietly in my chair. So she is talking to the doctor about it and will call me back. I really, really, really want it out. Like soon, like this week, not next Thursday as was originally scheduled.

By the way, when I was younger, we made hard cider by just buying regular unpasteurized cider and letting it set in the refrigerator until it was "hard." If you waited too long, it turned into cider vinegar. Cider was bought at farm orchards right from the cider press! Wish I had some of the real stuff now.

And how are you supposed to complain after you have been electrocuted?????

Been really cold and foggy here. Yesterday Laura (CougarFan) left and luckily she didn't need an early start we had very dense fog. By the time she left around 11am we were sunny and blue skies but still pretty chilly. I am sure she hit some fog on the passes but at least by then it wasn't "freezing fog" like earlier. We had a great weekend visit. I am getting ready to head south to Santa Barbara area for an assignment in Lompoc. I am hoping to have pretty decent weather. I have never worked in that area so I should have lots to explore. I will miss our occasional weekend visits tho.

Today getting the clothes washed and ready to load in the Motorhome. Have some last minute paperwork to complete for the job then will be pretty easy after that. I still need to get the Motorhome ready to go. I have to remake the bed and want to use my big vacuum on it before I go. Also need to get some propane, I like to go with a full tank. Hoping I DON'T have to use it much down there but you never know, the weather is crazy everywhere sometimes.
