Welcome to Friday and another warm (70 degree) sunny California day. I made a batch of yummy moist pumpkin muffins (see recipe section) and hubby has the Keurig out with kcups beside it. Enjoy your day. I have Curves and a bunch of tasks to get done. The stately old Modesto Ash in front of my childhood home in Tracy lost a branch onto the house porch and living room roof, causing two punctures and some shingle loss, so gotta call and bug the city for forms to my realtor to get it paid for. Do not want water inside when it rains and do not want tenants having a mess to clean up.

Rabbits!!! Rabbits!!! Yea....I got to say it first!!!!
Good morning, all....
We went to Ft. Clinch, FL yesterday, to check it out....love the CG that's close to the beach....the other is under the trees, which makes it rustic, but as Ernie says, hard to get the satellite aimed in.....
Today, is pay day for us....which means I get to decide who, among the dr. bills, gets paid off or are still on my "book of the month" club for partial payment....plus the usual monthly bills....
Also need to go to the commissary to do some shopping for staples...
Okay, coffee's on and there's "Fruit Loops" on the table...Help yourselves....
Have a great day, all...

Good Morning Ladies,
Wet and windy is the word here. So today will be inside puttering around with sign crafts. Have one fall one to finish off and then going to go through my wood and paints and see what I have to do winter ones next. Been perusing the web and getting free template pictures to use as base for some signs. Also hoping to make some Campsite Occupied signs this winter too. Got more ideas for them too. Founds a really cute penguin to use on a sign, ran it off on printer and should have save it to my pictures file for later. Been hunting for it on the web and think I can find it, noooooooo
House is cleaned, yard work done for now and ready for winter for all practical purposes here. So now can "play" with wood or whatever I want to do
And now that's it November, will be starting to gather stuff to take north with me the beginning of next month as I go up for the holiday season again.
So you all have a great day out there. Keep dry if you are in the rainy areas, safe if on the road, have fun at the GTG's and most of all, enjoy life.

Good Morning
I remembered "rabbits" this morning also. Hard to believe it is November already.
Storms have ended and looks like decent but chilly weekend around here.
Sue, I jealous - not sure if I will ever get "all chores" caught up. Must be a great feeling.
Have a good day

G'morning all
No rabbits here
I guess I should just give up trying to remember
But wishing all of you a good month!!! Ahhh, the holiday season...No trick or treaters last night--rained. This morning, I'm waiting for those nasty winds that are being sent to us from the midwest...& 60 degrees this a.m.!
Donna, how long do you plan to stay at the slabs? I gotta get there this year--sounds like such a hoot! Catherine's aunt was in an old RV video/documentary--showed the slabs & all the interesting people that live/stay there. Catherine, I've got to see that video again!!!
Y'all have a great start to the weekend & safe travels always. Keep those gtg pix coming!

Rabbits!! Yes!! I remembered only because I haven't spoken a word until I started to read MC
Then I said, "RABBITS!!" Tyler looked up at me with raised ears and cocked his head as if to say, "Where?" No trick or treaters. DD and I went to see the new movie
Enders Game. Thought it would be crowded. But only about 30 people in the big IMAX theater for the first showing. Guess everyone was out trick or treating
The rain stopped and a cold front is moving in. Waiting for all the standing water to soak in or evaporate!! Today is just usual chores and errands. Everyone have a great day and stay safe. Aloha

Good Morning from Jacksonville, N.C. near Camp Lejeune,
Sun is out but rain in the forecast.
I remembered 'Rabbits'!!
Spent part of yesterday with two nieces, a great niece (4) and great nephew (6 mos.). What fun! Little Wes is a doll and has a great smile. Zoey is busy! I went trick or treating with her for a little while before I came back to the park. One niece is married to a Marine and the other is visiting from Washington State.
I have never been on a large military base before - wow! Just the number of school buses was mind boggling. People sitting on their porches, some in costume, waiting for trick or treaters. Zoey asked one man why he had to have so much scary stuff!
Today we are off to Wilmington - I think to the aquarium.
Those of you in the wind and rain, stay safe!

Good Morning to All who have checked in and to those already busy with today's chores. It is still dark out here in Vegas, just a small line of lighter dark over the mountains.
I even remembered Rabbits today a
Also the end of a month - good time to back up your computers etc.
We went to the Neon Boneyard yesterday - will post a blog about it later. Very very interesting. Lots of info about old Vegas.
Today is a soccer game and a truck race and errands in between. Need to get a new throw rug for the living part of Alfie - the one we got just isn't working. Creeps all over the place.
Take care if you're traveling and enjoy your day no matter what.

I forgot to say "rabbits" this morning
Sunny here this morning. Last night I stayed home and did a boatload of laundry. Also watched the movie "Sixth Sense" on DVD. What a great movie and loved the twist at the end! Never saw that coming!
Off to work now. Have a great day!

I said Rabbits! Unfortunately, I don't know if it's the first thing I said. I
might have said "Good morning, beautiful, ok, I'm coming," to The William as he danced around -- or I might just have thought it. After all, the dog is telepathic, right?
Anyway, a great November to everyone!

Good Morning All, those pumpkin muffins sound good this morning. Another clear and beautiful day here on the ?31st parallel.
I "thought" rabbits this morning...does one have to say it out loud?
Yes, Carolb, everyone must see the slabs at least once. Some people love them and go back year after year and others go only the once as they hated them! I believe I heard the old man who built the mountain (can't remember the name) with the old paint either has died or gone into a nursing home. Maybe Donna can tell us.
I never get my little chores done!
Have a great day, lyn

His name is Leonard Knight and he made Salvation Mountain. He is quite the character and my late DH and I spent a good hour talking with him one year. Jack was so impressed by him that when we got home he loaded up all the paint he could find in our garage and the kids garage and took it out to him. My understanding is that volunteers are now taking care of the mountain. I hope so, anyway. Everyone should see it at least once. Yes, he's in a nursing home now, so sad. He's such a great guy with a love for humanity that knows no bounds. I admire him, I tend to be to cynical lately. I love the slabs, but I know folks that don't feel safe there. I've never had a problem and I've been camping there for years, both with Jack and by myself. It depends on where you camp there.
Beautiful day here but we have chilly weather coming next week. I have one of the grands this w/e while her mom is on retreat. Fun stuff planned. I suggested kayaking on Lake Perris, she declined. I don't think she trusts me or something. Hmmmm.
Evie (Pooker) emailed me this morning, she found a bus trip to Alpine to the casino there, sounded like a great time, but I won't be back from the dunes. darn! I've never been to that casino and there's outlet shopping there, too! double darn!
Hope everyone has a great day today!

Good morning, all.
Lori, Ft. Clinch is a gem and one of my favorite places in Florida. I spent 11 days there last winter at the beach campground, and when I go back to Florida, it will be top on my list of wonderful state parks. Most of the time I had the enormous beach all to myself when I walked. So peaceful.
OK, I give up. What are the "slabs"? What are they slabs of? And why are they so scary to camp in?
Supposed to be 79 here and sunny, so I am happy in this COE campground, even if the lake is almost dry right now. There were only two campers and three volunteers staying here last night. Chatted with one of the volunteers who loves it here also. This is so far from cities that it does not get partiers, even in summer when it is more busy. I got my pick of sites high on a hill, so exceptionally good view.
