I got on to read the forum and was hunting for the MC but then it dawned on me I am up reading earlier than usual. I had to let the dogs take there last morning potty romp out the back door and across the rotting deck before the contractor came to demolish same. The saws are out there even as I type and the dogs are in their kennels pondering the change of routine. I think I am taking them over to the campground in town for the next two days. If I have to walk them on leashes it will be easier that around there. They are used to campground routine involving leashes....
Hope all the intrepid travelers keep having fun visiting and exploring. Nan, be sure to check the inside of all cabinets to be sure you don't leave Liz behind as you empty the house out.
Everyone take care and make the most of your day.....after coffee has set in of course!

Good morning Tina & all to follow
Back to reality, eh--being a cowgirl now just a treasured memory!
Hope you & the poopers find some peace & quiet!
Just finished catching up on "introductions"--lotsa newbies in the past few days! Brings back memories of my first post & getting welcomed so warmly. "We" are a great group!
Ava, just wondering about your trip--is Maggie going with you? Lately I think of her when I look at my Piper. I googled basenjis the other day, & Pipe definitely has some in her!
Today, bro & I get his boat off the lake for the winter...summer definitely ended...
Off for more coffee! Y'all have a great day! Sharon, let us know you're home! Safe travels to all on the road

Carolb....yes, Maggie goes with, I know she wouldn't do well if I left her behind.
picking up the car rental this evening before closing, will cancel my reservations for Thursday as this one comes from dd. Who am I

Coffee is freshly brewed and there is cereal for breakfast.

GOOD MORNING TO ALL!
Also, welcome to all the newbies I have missed in personal welcomes-----When you begin to post on here, I will try to keep up with your posts, and will look forward to meeting you in person somewhere down the line!
I'm off to get my shingles shot this afternoon, and pick up a few groceries. I'm holding my breath that my Social Security check will get deposited tomorrow on time. It's foggy, wet, but not too cold here this morning. Hope to see some sunshine before the day is over.
Gotta get moving----happy Tuesday to all!

Have a great day and Ava enjoy the trip...

Tina, you make me laugh! Nothing like having your routine thoroughly disrupted. How is Audrey coming along? Are you planning on showing her in puppy class this winter?
Soos, I'm holding my breath with you; mine is supposed to be deposited tomorrow, too. I learned one thing that makes me feel more confident, however. The federal payment schema is really complex, and Social Security payments are irrevocably linked to payments on a range of government notes, like T-bills. The political implications of defaulting on that kind of thing are far-ranging, international as well as national. It would cause all kinds of currency failures, not to mention petrodollars. Even those fools in Congress aren't going to be willing to face that kind of backlash. This should all be over soon.
I found a draft letter from my lawyer in my inbox today. Yet another letter to my-brother-the-lousy-executor's lawyer about closing my parents' estate. It's been almost two years, and the so-and-so has done nothing. This is a really grim letter, so I'm hoping it will get an active response. I might see some money by the end of the year! Travel funds!
It's a good Tuesday here -- and I wish a good Tuesday to all.

Louise, thank you for asing....Audrey is growing like a beautiful little flower...I would say weed but I want to think positive. So far nothing jumps out as an "oh, no..." Her baby teeth are currently falling out so as the adult teeth come in...is the biggest pause and wait....as one hopes that her "bite" remains good. All the pups in the litter appear to be looking good. I think at least two of the other pups will be shown. Audrey has a puppy match on Sunday to see how she likes it and remind me how hard it is to get my body up and down... She doesn't turn 6 months until December 13 th. I have thought to look out in New Mexico or Arizona to see what AKC shows might be going on that weekend. I mean as long as we are there!

Good morning, all! Guess I need to catch up on the introductions also.
Chilly morning here. I am still on the coast, but will leave tomorrow back to Napa and full hookups to get the last (I hope) and positive (I REALLY hope) urologist appointment! Then tomorrow is orthopedic surgeon. With a little more luck, I will be heading out on Sunday for parts unknown--I am anxious to be getting back on the road.
I came to California with a really clean motorhome, but now it is really dirty from all this dry camping in dusty campgrounds, so son has offered to help me wash it on Saturday. I got evicted from my last campground here in Bodega Bay because they were tearing up the roads to redo them. Had to drive out on soft dirt around bulldozers to get out.
I am really hoping that the government will be opening and the two COE campgrounds I have my eye on will be open. Need to save some money since I am teaching only one class this semester, so will be short of cash and California is SO expensive for camping. Even dry camping in a state park is $30 - $35 each night! And the full hookups in Napa where I can ride my bike everywhere is $45.

Just so you know that Nan is not the only one with ties to a cabana boy....I have one this week too:
Spending the week in my dd's yard with grandson. Doing, guess what? Yup, packing up boxes of dishes & stuff from her house which she's going to put on the market. Been doing a lot of crawling inside cabinets lately.
Got several of my RV cabinets cleaned and reorganized too with Cabana Boy's help. Have a pile of stuff to go to my dd's yard sale. Still need to weed out some of the excess clothes I'm carrying.
Hope everyone's day is going well.

Liz, is your daughter selling her house or possibly following your foot steps and full timing? I obviously have not been keeping up with all the posts, as hard as I try.
The rain has finally stopped in MD and we saw the moon last night and the sun today. We have the woodstove on low to keep the house comfy. Too much still going on in our lives, so I'll stop here. Wishing all of you the best.

Good morning girls.
Judy, Saturday we went into a county RV park in Ventura, CA. They wanted $45/night - no hookups or amenities (did have restrooms though). Didn't stay there, ended up at Ventura RV Resort - $74.00 + $4.00/night/dog total over $80 and they do not have cable TV. We are now in a VERY nice county RV park - Eastshore RV Park in San Dimas, CA, above Puddingstone Lake. Came here after spending Sunday afternoon at the Pomona RV show and have stayed 3 days so far. Full hookups, cable TV and beautiful, green, shady and quiet surroundings - $54/night. Might go back to the RV show this afternoon.

Late afternoon posting for MC but the wifi in Alb was the pits! Made it to Holbrook, another "breezy" drive, but not nearly as bad as yesterday! Should be home on Thursday. Mixed feelings about that.
Tina....you're gonna be in the SW this winter? Yay!!! Hope we can GTG somehow.
LInda, you're only about 30 miles from me...but I'm not there yet! LOL!
Getting really chilly here, but only supposed to go down to 40, as opposed to Flagstaff and Williams at 24 and 22. Which is why I'm here instead of there.
To far to make it to Kingman today where it's warm.
I've missed a welcome greeting to a lot of the newbies, so welcome to all!

Since some of us have already received our SS checks, I don't think any of you need to be worrying. Just my opinion.
I had my disappointing Amish buffet breakfast this morning and then hit the road. I wasn't in any hurry and somehow missed a turn so went further south than intended. Oh well, nice day, pretty drive but much more traffic than I expected on non-freeway roads. Stopped in Harrisonburg, Virginia, with the intent of staying overnight. Bought my groceries, decided it was too early so came on to Staunton just 25 more miles. Several trucks and RVs in WalMart lot. Tomorrow the Blue Ridge Parkway.
