Having my one cuppa while Maggie sleeps at my feet. She lies on her back with paws in the air while she snores slightly.

Getting my hair cut today. Mulling over whether I should leave the gray hair as is or hit the dye.

Saturday morning I helped my two daughters with a fund raising blitz. (No it is not to pay for my RV repairs) We hit every merchant and restaurant on St Armands circle asking for raffle and silent auction items. We garnered quite a haul. Cold calling can be intimidating. No shrinking violets here.

My friend called. Her daughter's wedding in London is in two weeks. Due to dementia, her husband cannot attend but cannot be left home alone either. Her step-daughter had promised to come and stay with him but just called to say she cannot do it. What a pain! I told her about respite care at the ALF. Of course, it is expensive but at least a solution. I sure hope I die before I become a PITA for my girls.

Good morning Lori and Joan and all to follow. Another hump day and it is nice and cool again. Yesterday I took advantage of the cool weather and having my daughter here to put up the Xmas lights outside. I'm using her to help with all the little things that I can't (prefer) not to do by myself. We will be leaving before Thanksgiving for Disney World, so thought I'd get the lights up and off my list :P This trip will be a "destination" trip, driving directly there and then up to Red Bay, AL to have Tiffin finish the stuff that did not get done last August. So, a cup of coffee and back outside while the weather is lovely. Everyone have a great day and stay safe. Aloha

G'morning all! :D

Hey Joan, would you believe I'm voting for you to go gray  Those of us who are will tell you it helps more than hinders! We're "forgiven" more often than "cursed" when we do stupid things

Peg, I'm so happy you're in touch with Catherine--you're both great people, & I know you'll enjoy each other! Red, I hope I can catch you in FL even though you're doing a "hit & run" trip. Can't wait til I'm on the road again to meet up with all those I met before & all those I haven't met! Speaking of which, I see a lot of newbies joined us in the past couple days!

Ha, did not do housecleaning yesterday, so that's for today. Family coming in tomorrow for our reunion (siblings only) on Sat....

Y'all have a great day & safe travels always! 8-)

Good Morning from Pennsylvania!

Hated to leave Carolb yesterday but what a great time and we'll meet again in Florida!

Yesterday's drive was very nice! I went to pump up tires on automatic pump and it only went to 70# (need 80#) plus I still needed someone to put new bulb in headlight - long story! Came to an intersection in small town and there was a Dodge dealer! Young mechanic has same truck and fixed me all up - no charge!

As a rule, I no longer make reservations so when I called RV park I wanted, they were full! Came on to Thousand Trails near Hershey and will stay a week while wet weather does its thing! I have plenty I can be doing!

JoanE, I also vote for the gray!

I am way behind on posts - particularly Introductions. Welcome to all our newbies!!

As the sun rises, the frost goes to never-never land!

Image
The pearly Everlastings in the foreground missed the focus, but the frosty leaves are crisp!

Image
Frosty raspberry bushes!

Image
Ice on the water bucket this morning!

We got down to 23 degrees F. here last night, and the trusty furnace kept us nice and warm here in the trailer!

Joan, like Carol says, stay natural! No worrying about grey roots showing up later on!

Everybody have a great Wednesday!

Do you really want to be coloring your hair on the road in MX?
That's the main reason I decided to go gray.

Thanks. Sad thing is - I have TONS of black tops (used to minimize the appearance of The Girls, even if only in my mind's eye)...black tops don't look so good with the gray-hair, no-boobs look I'm sporting now.

I always thought gray went well with black and white fashion. (I am so not cool.) But then all my black tops are to help cover up those food dribbles that fall on the front and the muffin rolls on my belly...the the fact that I don't have to think about "What goes with this color?" I guess they can still serve that purpose. Though some bright colors look nice also. :)

Wait until you get to MX, then buy some really colorful new tops.

Men's clothes are usually cheaper, at least in the U.S.

Men's clothes tend to wear better and be more comfortable, too.

Years ago, I flew to a big conference, and the airline lost my luggage. The hotel shop had only men's clothing, and I certainly didn't have time for a shopping trip, so I wore men's underwear and shirts with my suit that week. Ridiculously comfortable! It's a good thing I didn't get run over by a bus, though; emergency personnel might have been startled.

Maybe I could borrow Pedro's underwear for a while to see if I like it...
