Goooood Morning Sistahs!!!

Now that was a good wake up! Morning to you Barbz! Great to see that your in fine form and traipsing thru the forum. No one does it better than you. I think ya got 'em all covered. Got my coffee raised in high salute to you Lady!

Monday, blech! I am tired and all I want to do is go back to sleep. I hate working up there Sundays. Get off at 9pm to go right back in there this morning. Didn't get home until 10pm as Kelly had us running to Books a Million and then to Barnes and Noble to find a book she wanted. Found it at B & N but they had closed. The employees were leaving just as we got there, she asked the woman holding the door for everyone if they had the book? Yep they have it but she is gonna have to wait until tonight to get it. So I know where we will be going as soon as we get out of work tonight. With getting home at 10pm I finally went to bed at 11pm. And now this old broad wants to go crawl back in. waaaaaaaa, whimper, whine I'd have a tantrum but I to tired.

This was suppose to be night shifts weekend off, but like us they are required to put in 8hrs over the weekend. I think that maybe 2 or 3 of them showed up long enough to actually put in the full 8. There sure were lots of day shifters that were really pissed that they didn't show up. We can pretty much bet that the bosses will be riding day shifts butts to make up for the slack. Gotta love it!!!

Ok, it's that time to grab another cup of coffee, go read email, do them clicks and get my comic fix. Then into the shower to wash my stinky self. LOL

Hope everyone has a super day and stays safe too!!!!!

Love to all

I got the tree up finally and a few other things. I'll tackle the village this week. Next year I will have to get my grandson to bring all these big totes upstairs for me. I actually think that artificial tree weighs more than a real one. even if it is in three parts!

Good Morning !
It's sort of cold and icy here in Oregon - we had rain and some big wet snow flakes last night and it's 34 this morning so ice ! It's not real bad, just have to be careful on the RV steps, they're really bad. I threw some salt down so that should help a little, I'll scrape the snow/ice off them once it's light out.
I'm thinking of taking the bus to Old Town today and having lunch at Mo's - seems like a fun thing to do on a cold day :D Then a stop at the candy store and the thrift shop that's run by the local animal shelter. I always stop in there and at least buy Molly some of their homemade treats.
I'm almost over a cold - I'm at the coughing till I pee stage, love that !!! HAHAHA !!! I need to get some cough syrup before I go I guess so I don't cough all over people - I hate it when other people do that !!!
Hope everyone can stay warm and have a wonderful day !!!
Only 10 days till Christmas so busy busy busy :D
Enjoy !!!!!

Good morning everybody! I just lost this post (forgot to copy first as I usually do, since that happens a lot), so will try to recreate it. Barbz, I loved that snowman family this morning, especially the one in the baseball cap!

Trudy, take care of that cough, ya hear? You too ECHO, be good to yourself with your hectic schedule!

Oh my, I've got to stay out of that recipe section. Nothing but sugar and fat in there lately. And I can't say no to sugar and fat...if it's in the house, I'll eat it...too moch, too fast.

I heard from my brother and SIL in NH. They had to move out of their camp and in with friends. They've been out of power since Friday...27 degrees inside the camp. Serves them right for modernizing...they took out the woodstove and put in a propane heater with elec. start!

Hope everyone has a warm and comfy day. My goal was to finish writing the Christmas cards I plan to send and they're in the mailbox. It's still pretty early...maybe I should set another goal for today? Naaah...

Chilly is right! Lou and I explored Tulsa yesterday in 70 degree weather. Last night after I dropped him off a the airport around 5:30, the temperature had dropped to 42. Woke up last night to freezing rain. My friend Margie gave me a DVD of a crackling fire with Christmas music optional, and believe it or not, watching and listening to that warmed it up inside a bit. This morning I left in 16 degree weather with icy spots. Was a little worried, but once I got on the turnpike (44) it's been fine. Now just past Oklahoma City on my way to Mineral Wells, Texas to meet my good friend Fran from last year in Kanab, Utah. And, hopefully warmer weather the farther south and west I go.

Tome to go inside the little store here and find something HOT to drink.

It sure is cold. We dropped down to -13. Our water froze up in the utility bay about the time it hit that low at 8:30 last night despite our best efforts -- water heater running, drop lights in 2 bays, propane furnaces going, and a ceramic electric heater going down in a bay too. Finally this morning when it warmed up to -8 we put the ceramic heater in the water bay and we brought it up enough to get water moving again. Luckily water lines on most RVs is made of a material that resists bursting when frozen. Our forecast is for warmer weather for the next 10 days but we won't be above freezing until...who knows when. Some lows will still get down to sub-zero but not nearly as bad as last night.

I talked to my sister who lives 30 miles from here in an area of higher elevation near the Wyoming line. They had -27 so we don't feel so bad about our measely -13!

We've been out to feed and reload for tomorrow. So finally now I can sit to think about a coffee break!

I feel for the folks getting ice storms. I'd rather have a blizzard than an ice storm.

Well, need to rehydrate after the hard work feeding then get ready to fix dinner. This afternoon we'll see if a car will start to head to town to mail Christmas cards & packages. Santa's job isn't over just yet.

Keep warm & safe ~~

Good morning all .... it's gotten up to a toasty 27 degrees here ... this weekend it's predicted to drop into the single digits. I need to clear a space for my car in the garage before then! LOL!

Good afternoon all - I guess I shouldn't complain about our temps - which have been dropping all day - since reading all of yours. They had us down for a day in the 70's - hah - they lied, big time. I did leave for work in a tshirt and shorts this morning just before 6. A few hours later, I stopped and got a sweater. I've now changed into long pants and a heavier sweatshirt to replace the sweater. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Zeee, I don't know if all the others in the line dancing class want their pic taken - but maybe I'll sneak one in - we shall see.

Tina and Zeee, I also watched Survivor - canceled going to my steak dinner and poker night  to watch it. I was also glad to see Bob win. I missed who got the audience win though - not sure where I was for that - although I might have headed to bed, since I did have to get up so early today.

Have our employee Christmas dinner tonight - have to rethink what I'm wearing now that the weather turned - hmmmmmmmm

Oh, and Sparkle has taken her computer in - decided to see about getting it fixed before she buys another - so maybe you'll get to hear from her again soon. Offered to let her use mine, but she only does so to check emails, and pay a bill - doesn't want to impose, I guess - which I certainly understand - I'd probably be much the same way. She's going to dime bingo tonight while I'm at my Christmas party - wish her luck!

Okies, back to work for a bit -

Have a great day everyone.

YAY for Barb in her kitchen again! So good to read what's going on in one fell swoop each day!

Unfortunately, we had rain nearly all day in Saranac Lake, although we still have a good ground covering of snow here about 13 miles from town at my house. I am hoping so badly that the temp will drop and we will get snow rather than rain tonight. I so would LOVE a white Christmas!

This is not normal weather for the mountains in the Adirondacks....although, I must say, the past few years have not been the greatest for snow and ice on the lakes in December. I dearly miss the old days when, once we got snow, it stayed until April!

The wind is horrendous out there now.,....making this house shake and crack. I will not be able to sleep with this going on...sure hope it quits before bedtime.

Hope you all had a great Monday and that, if traveling, you made your destinations safe and sound. This is a very sketchy time of year to be on the roads.

Until tomorrow....off I go for supper and then into a nice warm sleeping bag which I just washed and fluffed up!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Beth, Bob also won the $100,000 prize. I would have liked for someone else to get that, but can see why he did.

Thanks, Lenora. Is that the first time the winner got the audience vote, too? I agree with you - I see why he did, but just expected it would go to someone else. He was the nicest and most honest player, imo, though - so makes sense he won and won :)
