Monday - First Full Day of Fall
Posted: Mon Sep 23, 2013 6:29 am
Good Morning from the chilly MI 45th,
Well, we all know that fall rolled in yesterday. 4:44 p.m.to be exact. And it feels it this morning too. Temp is hovering right around freezing mark and as daylight brightens I can see frost starting to form on edges of roof tops and my picnic table. Looks like a scattered frost again this morning. Yesterday was chilly all day, barely making it into the 50's. But plenty of sunshine forecasted for this week and temps gradually warming up again. Good working outdoors weather.
Am heading to town in a bit here and get a blood test done to check cholesterol levels and all that good stuff and then set up an appt. with my NP to get it all evaluated etc. Also need to have them schedule mammogram. Then the usual errands to run.
Irmi, condolences to you and your family on the loss of your mom. I know it's going to be hard on your dad now and you are worried about him, but as others have said, you have been a wonderful daughter to your parents. (((hugs))).
Sarah, sorry about the news on your niece. Let's hope things turn out better than they sound after today. Glad you got home okay. Yep, wading through all the mail and catching up on a long trip can be overwhelming sometimes, but at least you can think of the places you went and things you did to make it all worthwhile.
Peggy, glad to hear you are in NM. Enjoy
Mitch, I too loved that picture. You lovely silver hair really does look good on you. Keep it that way. Gray hair is a status symbol for those of us who have reached the "senior" years level. It's a good way to get all the "freebies" and "discounts" out there
Time to head for a quick bath and off to get the blood work done, then to breakfast as my tummy is going to be growling before long after having been on a 13 hour fast. Have a wonderful day everybody.
