Good morning everyone!
Things in my corner of the world are about status quo. This past weekend, one of my parents nurses fell and broke three bones in her ankle and will be operated on tomorrow. It's hard to tell when she'll be back to take care of my parents, so in the mean time, I'm filling in for her on Mon, Tues & Thurs. Steve & I had planned on going away this coming Monday and returning Sunday, which we're still going to do, then I will resume the 3 day work week when we return.
My brother will begin his chemo treatments one week from today, two weeks on, one week off, for the next 18 weeks.
Steve & I have been doing lots of work in our formal garden out back, but I have to give most of the credit to Steve. This is just a large garden with walkways, with lots of ground cover plants & bushes.
Wherever you are and whatever you're doing, be safe and take care.

Good Morning all,
Cool front working it's way south here, but still a tad muggy this morning. Nice rain during the night though, along with a bit of lightening. Another front coming in later today and really cooling things down by tomorrow.
Had a wonderful day visiting one more time with Liz, CArol, Sarah and Leslie in Mackinac City. They have returned to the lower peninsular from their tour of the U.P. and are slowing heading their respective ways south.
Not much planned for here today. Want to go to Farmer's Market this morning to see if anybody has some zucchini, so I can make some more Chocolate Zucchini cakes to freeze. Also need to run a few errands as well.
So with that in mind, I will wish you all a wonderful day. Travel safe, those of you on the road.

GOOD MORNING SUE AND ALL!
Already 68 outside, and VERY humid-----I can almost take a bath just standing out there with soap!
My plan is to hitch up before the cold front heads through here this afternoon, bringing possible strong thunder showers, possible hail, etc. I will stow and go in the early morning to haul the 40 or so miles to my RV dealer in Plattsburgh to get this place inspected for another year. Tomorrow is supposed to be more rain showers, but then a colder (high of 60) weekend is forecast for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I guess that will be ok, although I will not have electricity to keep warm, unless I run my generator. Have to remember to pack my sub-zero huge sleeping bag to combine with this heavy one I already have in here. The Gibson brothers will be performing onSaturday, and several other bluegrass groups will be there as well. I am looking forward to the all-night picking sessions, and, (I hope) campfires to stay warm.
Grocery shopped yesterday, put some more stuff in my bank safe-deposit box, got Dinah's prescription for phenobarbital refilled, and gassed up, so I guess I am ready to go. It looks as if Issy will not be coming this trip, as she has such confusion about when the guys are coming to install her hew toilets, flooring, and all. Richard is moving across the lake today from VT to spend the night in a campground near the festival grounds. I am assuming that NH Jack will also be there for the festival.
Hope you all are having decent weather whatever you are doing----happy Wednesday to all!

Stay strong, Irmi...
You have a lot on your plate.
And I think I said it before, but it bears repeating - you're a good daughter.

Good morning everyone. Looks like the flocks are either heading or preparing to head south for warmer weather. Stay safe in your travels. Not much going on here. On a clear liquid diet today, then that wonderful prep stuff tonight and off for the bumoscopy early tomorrow AM. YUCK
At least this isn't every year. I think it's been 6 years since last one. Suppose to meet a friend for lunch, the only day she could meet...so I guess I'll be having soup and water and tea
Have a great day. Aloha y'all

I love these gray, wet mornings, especially when I don't have to work and can lie around, read, drink coffee, nap....the list goes on....

Good Morning All, Today is supposed to be the last day of the heat and humidity, I hope the weather people are right!!
We had something unusual happen last evening. Last night DH and I were sitting on the couch watching TV when something fell on the floor right in the middle of the room. Neither of us were moving and the dogs were sleeping. I got up to see what it was and it was a penny. I have no idea where it might have come from. This morning when I went to take clothes out of the washer I found another penny beneath the clothes. I've heard several people mention pennies being some king of a sign but never really thought much about it. The one falling from seemingly the ceiling was pretty surprising! Isn't there a song about Pennies From Heaven?
Red will be thinking about you today and in the morning. Amy I'm with you I love gray, misty mornings! Soos, hope you have a good time, keep warm! Sue keep that front moving this way a bit of rain would be nice too!

BJ, is your house haunted?
When I find a penny on the ground I always think of my brother. I have lost other family members but for some reason I think of him.
Red, good luck with your prep. That's the worst part. Since we have to drive 35 miles for the procedure I'm always afraid I will need to go to the bathroom on the way. It's past time for my test and I told my doctor that he didn't need to call that I would schedule it. I'm still waiting for the camera you swallow like a pill.
It's windy this morning and I hear the back storm door opening so it's not latched. I don't remember what our weather is suppose to be other than hot.

About to hit the road. I don't have lots of extra time, but don't need to do tons of miles a day either. Heading through WA today, then across Oregon to the coast where I'll spend about a week before having to high tail to work. But even then, a week of training, then more than a week off before actually starting the real job. Time to settle in and see just how far away I'll be from some very old friends that I hope will be in driving distance for some of my days off.

Good Morning All, Yes it is still morning here in Healdsburg where I arrived at my daughters home. It took me four days and a few hours to get here. I'll have all the statistics of my drive tomorrow. I'm a lot slower than Catherine!!!
I did something stupid last Friday, and fell. Hurt my back, hurt my thumb, hit my head which bled. Now I have a black eye.
Am going to rest today. lyn

Just getting caught up here for the day...
We got the cold front thru here last night and it was WONDERFUL here today! 70's and low humidity with breeze and lots of sunshine!
So all those east of me should be feeling much better tomorrow.
My brothers refer to rainy days as NWG days (nap without guilt days)
BJ, someone is letting you know they are thinking about you from the other side. Have you been thinking about someone or going thru something difficult? Just their way of saying they are around and watching over you.
Nothing new here. Hope you all had a good day today!

I agree. Someone on the other side is thinking about you. Not sure what I believe about all that, but I'm open to spiritual stuff. Especially if it's in my favor...
