Good morning Donna & all to follow :D

Caught up on yesterday's posts--lots happening! Catherine home, Lori on her way south & you (Donna) counting the days. Soos, glad you've escaped more frost/freeze--hope you're that lucky thru mid Oct!

Red, I hear you about seeing your RED in the drive. I've been doing some major cleaning of my HarBor & still have a couple months before I'm on the road. However, I do have a fall trip planned with Anita the end of this month :P Really looking forward to seeing many of you somewhere in FL this fall/winter!

Done with canning for the year, I think. We too are having a return to summer this week, so if more & enough ripen during the heat spell, may do one more batch---ugh! Never ever thought I'd get tired of maters, but can't bear to see or eat one just now!

Y'all have a great day, keep cool/stay warm, & be safe on the road always! 8-)

Morning Donna and all,

Sounds like you are moving right along there Donna. Before you know it, you will be on the road again. Carolb, sounds like you have hitch-it is.

As for me, I'm just puttering around here, getting things done outside in prep for fall arriving. cleaned out my garage really good yesterday and threw out a bunch of stuff. Also mowed grass, or what is passing for grass right now. Went to Mackinaw City on Friday and watched some of the 900 antique tractors parade over the bridge. Quite a sight to watch. Then last night went over to Otsego State Park and visited with some campers that I have gotten to know over the years and are here for their annual trip north.

Had quite a episode trying to make some chocolate zucchini cake on Saturday. Thought I had the first batch of batter all set to go but forgot to put in vanilla and then spotted a cup of sugar I had sitting on the counter for the second batch of batter, thinking I had forgotten to put it in the first batch, dumped it in. That of course doubled the sugar in the first batch. Put in oven, wasn't long before it bubbled up and all over the bottom of oven   At that point I realized what I had done :? , had to yank the batter out of the oven, then shut off the oven to clean it up, let the first batch of batter cool off and it will be heading for the landfill this morning  So finally got second batch of batter mixed after having to borrow some sugar from neighbor and managed to get two nice cakes out of it. :) So today, after a shopping trip to town, I am going to attempt to make a few more.

So as you can see, it was an interesting weekend around here.

Have a wonderful day all and if you do any baking, be careful of how you do it, veeeerrrrryyyy careful

Good morning, Donna, Carolb, Sue and all that follow...

Ernie is finally warm enough here in NC.. ;) ...think we've found our new "half way" place between PA and GA.....it's RVacation RV Park in Selma, NC.....about 335 miles from Gettysburg on I-95....and we did something we haven't done in a couple of years....did the belt ways around DC and Baltimore.... :o ....best day to do that is on Sunday....so the ride/drive was nice....we'll stay for a couple days to do some resting up, cleaning up and re-organizing before heading to our friends, Andy & Gwen's, house on the salt marshes at Darien, GA.....from here to there is 365 miles....really nice RV Park with pull thrus, full hookups, and nice staff.....there's a nice pond....they take Good Sam's Club....$36.80 with the discount/night....well worth it for us as we needed the break.....took photos yesterday, but will post them later....

I'm feeling a little stronger everyday...still have a spot that is still healing...dang naval/belly-button part of my incision is healing from the inside out...so that takes awhile...but finished the Keflex (anti-biotic) yesterday and it's looking better...I'll be glad when it's done....

Okay, Ernie's cooking some bacon and warming up the blueberry pancakes that I made last week and froze for later use....and of course, the coffee is fresh....so help yourselves....

Have a great day, all..........

GM from still deep in the woods of SW Arkansas. Lori, Karen and I stayed at that rv park on our way to Shawboro NC. Yes, they're very nice there but I don't think the park is worth the money. For that kind of money I want a resort style with hot tub! But it was conveniently right off the freeway with long pull thrus, strong electric and shady spots. I had an end spot so I had a nice view of the pond from the front porch. No long trails for dog walking so we did a couple of turns around the park.

Not much going on here, life is slow in the back country. Had the baby girl, aka as the great grand, yesterday. What a cutie and smart as a whip. She runs her grandma ragged...me..when I get tired I just go "home".

GM from the lower 48. I'm at the RV parking area at the Tulalip casino for a couple days. I have an appointment today for my drug test for Amazon. Then need to do some major replenishing in my fridge. The major part of my diet are fresh fruits and veggies and I'm completely out.

Good Morning, I started the morning chasing a young deer out of the back yard, which is fenced and usually deters them. After beating on a metal chair with a stick and yelling I though maybe it was afraid to try the jump again but finally it decide maybe jumping might be less scary than the crazy lady.
Too hot to do much today, it seems strange, the leaves are falling like mad and yet it feels like the middle of the summer.
I hope everyone enjoys the day.

GOOD LATE MORNING ALL!

Another frost last night, although not as cold as the other day----only down to 29 last night. But today is bright and sunny and hopefully will warm up enough to enjoy being outside and walking the property with the poochies.

Very lonely here again now as the kids and their dogs went back home yesterday. I had forgotten how depressing it is, despite the beauty of this place, being all alone. Thursday morning I will be heading out at 7:00am, however, to go to Plattsburgh to get this trailer inspected, and then onto the music festival for a few days. Weather permitting, I might then go to a campsite near there for a couple of days, unless Jack will be coming right back here for a few days until he moves on to another GTG somewhere. Issy may or may not go with me as she has a dentist appointment on Wed. in Plattsburgh and may just stay over there with her son and drive herself to the festival. Richard and Jack will be there, so it should be a fun time.

Sue, sure sounds like a real mess in your oven! ACK! You must have had to chisel that sugar off the surfaces!

Donna I can hear your excitement to get back to the south! And Lori and Ernie are making fast tracks for Georgia already! Beth will get stuck today to check for drugs------which drugs does that test for, anyway? Do they pick up pot and booze as well as coke and worse? Curious is all!

The crazy lady deer chaser is at it again, and great grandma, Sharon, is running her butt off with her little child! And Mitch is contemplating the drug testing, too!

Happy Monday from the mountains of NY!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!
