Slept okay, still having a hard time staying asleep, but it's getting better....

Got a note from Carolb over night....she's coming my way, so looks like I'll have company this afternoon....will call her later this morning to touch base... Can't wait to see her again....

Got the coffee going here for ya'll.....and there's peach cobbler to warm up, too...help yourselves...

Good Morning Lori and all who arrive later. Peach cobbler sounds wonderful! I hope your sleep pattern continues to improve it is so frustrating to be awake in the middle of the night. I usually just turn my TV on or watch something on netflix on my cell phone. My ipad can't get the wifi signal in my room, i need a booster or something, more $$$ of course!
We are in for a hot, humid week not looking forward to it but September is getting close and hopefully the hat weather will end soon.
Not much planned for today, maybe yoga but I am feeling lazy today. I'm having company from Kansas City tomorrow so looking forward to that.

I just ran across a couple of articles about making your own ebooks from books that you own. It sounds slow, but not so slow as the only way I had thought of doing it (scanning and making a pdf). It would be marvelous to have my library in the van!

Ready to shout here I had a totally free of pain day yesterday! Today is starting out good also... now maybe I can get something done later after I wake up...
My son is in the hospital they are doing a heart cath today... have not heard anything yet...
Yes we too are having a heat wave... it will last well into next week...

Yes, Monday does roll around again...I believe the entire world now knows our creepy Mayor has resigned, effective Friday the 30th. Now we have to go through another election and listen to more lies. Am I cynical?
Had a nice visit with the daughter yesterday. She is a teacher and altho school begins Sept 3rd, she still does not know which grade she will teach!!! She's quite experienced so will "go with the flow" what ever grade she is assigned.
IVO has caused some big flooding out in the East County....no rain here in the city yet, but it's promised?!?!?!
Lori, glad to see you are doing so well....continue to heal slowly.
Thinking of Mitch this morning....praying all goes well in TN.

GOOD MORNING ALL!

Windy and sort-of rainy up here in the mountains this morning, but not too cold and certainly not too hot. I have a dentist appointment this afternoon to get my repaired bridge back and fitted....will be so happy to have those chewing molars back, as gumming my food has been no fun at all!

I have one reminder that it is Beth's birthday today, but nothing on here for reminders...so.....if it is true:

Good Morning from norther MI too.

Muggy here this morning. Did have a nice rain shower. Much welcomed as we are bone dry here.

Lori, glad sleep pattern seems to be adjusting. Prayers to Mitch today as she undergoes her test and whatnot. Will be waiting news like everyone else.

I'm heading to eye docs for another laser treatment on my eye. Don't know if that's all I need or will have to go back for another one. If I don't have to stay here for something, am still planning on heading north to catch up with the group, although finding a campground is beginning to prove not so easy with the holiday weekend coming. Michigan is a heavy traveled RV state and most parks have been reserved weeks and months ago. So shall see how it all plays out.

So got to get moving here. Have a wonderful day all.

We had some more rain this morning but the biggest area is still offshore and headed for Texas. At least it keeps the heat down.

Cake and peach cobbler sounds good for breakfast. I bought some ground meat yesterday at Sam's so put together a meatloaf this morning. I started off with the Boston Meat Market recipe but I can't leave a recipe alone. We'll see how mine turns out.

Since I'm on foot except for the motorhome I can think of all kinds of places I want to go.

I heard on the news that the creepy mayor is going to resign. Unfortunately he's not the only creep in the country. What do these guys think, that they are invisible.

My son is out of surgery... he had 90% blockage... they put in two more stints... he had one done previously... he is in recovery... they do not have a bed yet... he may go home tomorrow... it is now 4pm...

Just got off work for the day. VERY, very hot and humid here today. Our last night of golf tonight which is the second half of our tournament. Of course last week I played the first half and sprained my ankle in the process. Not healed enough to play tonight but also is too dang hot!

Probably not going to get to the State Fair before it ends next week due to both my ankle and the heat. Oh well, that will save me quite a lot of money since I go there just to shop and eat!

Good riddance to the SD mayor!!! What a slimebag!

Hopefully, California will get some much needed rain to put an end to all the wildfires out there! It has been a really bad year there.

Kathleen, I hope your son recovers quickly! My mom had a lot of stints put in over the years. It is almost outpatient surgery nowdays!
