Good Morning,

Everybody sleeping in this morning? Oatmeal and strawberries or blueberries available for breakfast when you get up.

Looks like a cloudy type day with possibility of some showers this afternoon. Hope so, as we need rain desperately here. My yard is nothing but straw.

Shopping on the agenda for this morning. Need to restock fridge and also gather some supplies before heading north to join the continuing MI GTG group for some fun exploring the Upper Peninsula next week. Trailer is all set to go other than needing a bit of a dusting job from sitting at dealers for a week. Azusateach, no you didn't miss anything. I bought my TT home on Friday. Decided not to sell it right now. Can use the Flex to tow it for what's left of this year. If I drive carefully and keep my speed to 55 or less, it's doing okay. It's just the unsteadiness of it that I don't like. But after this upcoming trip, it will probably get put away for winter anyway. This will be my first long term trip with a TT, so will be a bit of a learning curve as well. Mostly I have just done quick couple of overnight trips before due to working.

So with that in mind, I am going to go get cleaned up and head for the store. Hope you all have a wonderful day today. And the happy wanderers heading for the U.P. cross the bridge safely.

I went to my grandsons house yesterday... it is coming along but oh what a mess... makes me tired... they put down the master bedroom floor, Pete was doing the tile walls in the master bedroom... Margie was covering the floor in master bedroom... John was cutting something or other in the living room... the cabinets are up; island built; frig in and working... what a nice frog... dishwasher is in also... can't do with out one of those... all in all the first floor is coming right along... makes me tired to think of all the work..
Got groceries yesterday also... and my first watermelon it is seedless and has a really good taste...
I hope everyone has a good day I am off to finish mail and get ready for church...

Good morning everyone! What's sleeping in? Beck was bouncing at 5am, how dare I press the snooze button.
Breakfast bowl here this morning, eggs, sausage, hashbrowns, grits and cheese. We tried backyard camping last night, but it was too hot for Alexis, they are too a/c spoiled, next month will be better.

Got your game on?

Sue, please be careful. That "unsteadiness" is very telling in my book. Keep your weight evenly distributed within the trailer -- over the axels or forward of them. And test your steering before you go far. Give the wheel a little "wiggle" to make sure your car responds accordingly. You don't want your front end to feel sluggish or soft. It's unfortunate, but that trailer sales guy shouldn't have encouraged you to get a trailer, knowing you were going to pull it with a Flex.

GOOD MORNING ALL FROM THE SUNNY AND COOL ADIRONDACKS!

The sun is bright, the sky deep blue, the mountains crisp along the skyline. Not a bird song to be heard any more here in the early mornings, unlike the beautiful symphony of a few weeks ago. Summers are just way too short up here. Perhaps that's why they are so loved and savored.

I am trying to get my trailer ready for a haul for the first time since I got back here. My new arrangement of the interior will get a road test to see how many things might get "unadjusted" or thrown to the floor as I take the 150 mile trip to the bluegrass festival in Bridgewater, VT. My long-time friend and neighbor, Issy, will be traveling with me, and we will meet Richard and other friends there. I will stop in Plattsburgh to get my trailer inspected on the way. Got my propane tank, that lasted me from when I filled it at the end of May until just now, filled at our local RV dealership yesterday. Propane in bulk like that is a real bargain.....heated lots of water, made lots of dinners and cobblers on my stove and oven this summer.

Many things to do here as the summer winds into fall, including mowing the field with the tractor and brush hog, getting my larger Yamaha generator back from the cabin at the pond, brush-sawing the banks of the pond to prevent trees from growing there, checking the oil in my Honda generator, buying gasoline to run it at the boondocking music festivals I will be attending, doctor appointments galore (just yearly checkup ones), registering the dogs at the town hall, back to the dentist to pick up my repaired bridge, putting old trailer back in the shelter for the winter, along with all the chairs, tables, and other GTG things, defrosting this refrigerator in the trailer and the one in the party barn, laundry, grocery shopping----list just goes on and on. All the while the trees will change to fall colors and the nights will begin to get frosty. Last minute picking of blueberries that are still hanging on by the billions.

I wish I could have gone to see Sue and the others in the Michigan area, but time and funds are very limiting. And, all the while, in the back of my mind, are the words to "Puff the Magic Dragon" which make me realize how very fleeting is the time I can spend with my Orion before he no longer wants to play with me. Sigh----so very unfair that time speeds up as we add the years to our age.

I am looking forward to the possibilities of seeing some of you again in FL this winter.

I am wondering whatever happened to Louise after she pulled out of this driveway after the Ruckus? She and Gayle seemed to have just disappeared! I sure do hope the Ruckus wasn't a disappointment for those two? Let us hear from you, wherever you may be.

Time for my hot breakfast of blueberry cobbler topped with vanilla ice cream----getting all my food groups right off the bat!

Happy Sunday to all!

Good Morning All, Love that picture of Beck with the Saints scarf...love Brew Brees too. I was very happy when the Chargers drafted him and very unhappy when the Chargers let him go!!! Not at all happy with the Chargers old coaches, will wait to comment on the new coaches.
Yes Sue, drive safely! I too was surprised when you mentioned the TT. Sounds like you ladies are having a great rolling fun trip.
Going over to have lunch with the daughter today after having eggs with capers this morning. No rain here from the Baja storm.
What a shame about the "Rim Fire". Hope the firemen/women stay safe. lyn

Well, it's still Sunday here, but turning or already turned to Monday for most of you. Yes, Ava, either next Sunday or Monday, I should be back on the road. Yay. My plans are to leave next Monday, but the weather could play a role in what day.

And for those who are awaiting a new blog post from me - I promise to get back to that soon, also.
