Friday has arrived...again...lol

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Friday has arrived...again...lol

Postby rvgrammy1953 » Fri Aug 23, 2013 3:22 am

I give up......... Seems I'm not meant to sleep past 4am....I know it has to do with healing, etc....went to bed at 9pm.....but would like to sleep past sunrise every once in awhile... When I was a kid, I was always the last one up in the morning....oh, well...

We were invited to go to an Irish Fest in Buffalo, NY with the crew here, tomorrow, but have decided that it maybe too much for me right now....after last weekend when I did do too much, it took me 2 days to recover....so we'll stay home and take a rain check on the Fest....Maybe next year....instead, will rest up for the annual "corn roast" at Barb's next Saturday....and then move up to the farm the day after....

Okay, got the coffee going here, but haven't decided on what to serve for breakfast yet...so will lay out some Pop Tarts and donuts for ya' all...it's the best I can do for now..

Have a great day, all.....

Good morning Lori & everyone!

Lori, people that are healthy can get tired out from doing too much, so don't feel bad about about missing out here and there. You've done great taking care of yourself, so you just keep on doing what you have to do. Thanks for breakfast!

Today I don't have to take care of my parents. One of their nurses has had a family emergency and I've been filling in for her lots lately, but I understand she'll be back on her regular work schedule the beginning of the week. I'm not used to being on my feet 8 & 9 hours a day, but I've burned lots of calories. I should be getting the hymns from the pastor today for Sunday's service, so I need to get some practice time in between now and then. I'm still enjoying following what everyone else is doing, so keep posting!

Good Morning Lori, Irmi and all who arrive later. I'm sorry you can't sleep Lori. I think you made the right decision not going to Irish Fest, although I know it is disappointing you don't want to rush things.
Irmi glad you are getting a day off, it sounds like you also need to rest!
Not much here, I was up at 5:30 and had a restless night. Just had breakfast and the couch is looking rather inviting. I have a lot of apples that I would love to make sauce from but I don't have a food processor. Will have to check with my neighbor, she is a gadget person like someone we all know and love.... :) I know this winter I would be happy to have apple sauce in my freezer but right now it seems like a whole lot of trouble!
Just went to see what the dogs were barking at and saw a deer parade going down the street! Two does, and 4 fawns trailing along!

Ah - it would be hard for me to pass up Irish Fest - just go listen to the music!

It's supposed to rain all weekend and this is DOG weekend. I'm glad I'm not camping, although the rain may cool things off. Wonder how much leakage you get with 4 pop-ups tied together? That's where all the eating and game-playing goes on.

Good morning everyone. I would not be able to resist that Irish festival myself. Great music, good food.....Tyler let me sleep till 7 (although he got me up at 3 for a potty call). I'm doing spring cleaning about a year late. Cleaning out closets. Sorting and tossing. Cleaning spots that haven't seen light of day for only God knows. I think my daughter got me going when she was here getting ready to go up to a cooler climate in Seattle area. So the winter clothes came out and I decided to go through everything and down size. :P

Then headed over to gtg with Birdie for lunch and do a bit of shopping!! Hope everyone has a great day and stay safe. Aloha y'all

Big dogs have been walked. Breakfast is in. The Audrey slept through the night....!!!! :) what a big girl. Will sip my coffee, eventually pack up the campsite and be on the road towards more northern sights if Michigan. I am enjoying the dip in temperatures and look forward to cool night for sleeping!

Good Morning All, I had a nice evening yesterday. Went to the Organ Pavillion to a concert band concert. Band from Coronado but filled with players from SD county. Excellent musicians...all volunteering...from teen-agers up to and including "grey hairs".
So nice sitting outside in the evening and listening to good music.
Our Organ plays every Monday night and Sunday afternoon. I'm having trouble getting used to the new (to me) civic organist as I liked the old one so much. We have the largest outdoor organ in the US.
All these activities are free and I get to take Casey.

Outdoor free concerts where dogs are welcome-----what a great way to spend a summer evening, eh, Lyn? I have been taking advantage of all our towns' outdoor freebees all summer up here, too. We have heard some amazing up and coming groups as well as famous local musicians and singers who write their own stuff as well as play and sing ole-time favorites. :)
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!
