Yipee...got to sleep more than 4 hours at a time last night... :D after the intestinal issues cleared up late last night...Geez, what a subject to talk about 1st thing in the morning... Does this mean that I'm getting old when all that is important is when I Poop??  NO, wait, it's just the side effects of abdominal surgery...

Spinner's waiting for Ernie to rise and shine for his walk cause it's just too wet and slippery out for me to travel the paths today....all I need is to slip and fall...then it's back to square one on the healing...

Nothing new going on here today....but I do feel a little better...so that's good enough for me...

Have finally caught up with everyone....and am looking forward to hitting the road as soon as I get the "all clear"....

Okay, haven't much more to add, so will turn the coffee on for ya' all, along with the blackberry muffins for a breakfast snack...

Have a great day, all

Good Morning Lori and all... yes coffee is good... I will have oatmeal and blueberries later... we have a cool morning here in the low 50s will be in mid 70s later... now you know what it is like in Normal...

Lori so very glad you are on the mend... we have had so many prayers and cares answered on the forum as of late please everyone keep our very dear friend Mitch in your thoughts and prayers...

For the second night Shadow slept in his usual place on the foot of my bed... he is nearly back to normal in his home... we took a short walk on the trail yesterday... my trike needs to have the tires blown up so I walked... if I have my trike we can go much farther...

I am going to look at some new blinds and replace them one at a time... they are old and starting to break... will see if I can fit plantation blinds where the old ones are...

Stay safe everyone and have a great day
Kathleen

Good Morning, It is hard to believe but it is 55 degrees with low humidity! A first I can remember for August in Southern Illinois. I'm thinking since I couldn't go to Michigan, the Michigan weather came to me :)
Lori so glad to hear you are feeling better, many of us can relate and sigh along with you in relief. Kathleen it's good to hear you are out walking and that Shadow is beside you once again.
I'm off for a massage this morning, I haven't had one for awhile and can really tell I need one. I'm convinced they are 'good medicine'.

Good morning everyone. Lori, glad each day brings a little less pain and you are mending well. Kathleen and Rede my idea of staying healthy is walking my dog twice a day and a weekly massage :P In fact I am having a massage today as well.

Nothing much here today. Wishing everyone a great day. Stay safe. Aloha

Lori, thanks for cleaning up the campfire.....keep the healing moving in the right direction but remind Ernie not to do any slipping and falling either! :)

I am sitting with a sleeping pupper on my lap...that won't last long but it is good while it last! Still no name...but I am working on it. Stuart says he would like a long walk...because of this fine weather and if I try to complain he is not listening. The house is so torn up with furniture moved away from walls and piles of "thing" from closets....It may take a few weeks to bring it all back together. The new floors got ordered (I don't even want to think how many RV miles that check would have covered....sigh :? But easily cleaned floors and no stinky carpets (I never thought that was a good idea 22 years ago! ). With a house full of dogs :) and two cats and people who do not want to dedicate many of their waking moments to cleaning  ...this will be much better!

Dennis still has to replace the remaining base boards from where the baseboard radiators came off and put in a new back French door before the floors are scheduled to be put down. It may take another three weeks....ugh. I do not like living with piles of things around my living space.....I may have to leave for a few days just for sanity. But for now there are still a few tasks I have to handle......so I will head off. Well I will head off as soon as a certain pupper wakes from her morning nap. Naps are important!

I had a lovely time yesterday meeting Carolb, who stopped for a few hours on her way through the area. We had a look at the state capitol building and took the dogs for a stroll along the river. It was great to meet her!

Today is fairly quiet -- grocery shopping and lunch with my niece. I might get to campus this evening for a silent auction, which would be fun.

A good day to all!

No rain here, although it did rain late yesterday. I love these sunny days in the 70s and nights in the 30s and 40s. I should not have watched the TV program on a grizzly attack in the 60s late last night because I had nightmares about animals chasing me all night!

Today I ride my bike to the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center. Hope no nightmares on those tonight. Then, I will wash my motorhome here in my spot at the Grizzly RV Park. This is a very nice place, by the way, for the same price I paid for Fishing Bridge. Expensive, but you get something, at least. Nice pavement and landscaping with all grass. Although the pads are packed gravel, the patios are cement. It is on the edge of town so no noise to speak of. When I rode around town yesterday, I noticed several other RV parks, all just dirt and gravel, with lots of dust. Most are basically just big parking lots and a lot tighter than this one.

Well, it is well past morning here in MI, but what the heck, it's still morning toward the west coast.

Been busy running errands this morning after I finally rolled out of bed around 8:30. With this cold, I am sleeping in later. Sassy decided it was time I got up though. Poor baby hasn't been happy cause we aren't out for our daily walks. She's getting cabin fever. Cold is a bit better today. But I am still not bright eyed and busy tailed. Had low grade 100 degree temps the past couple of nights. Cough meds have calmed down the coughing and starting to break up what is in my chest, so think I am on the mend. By weeks end, I should be up and at em again.

Have an appt. with local dealer here to go over the hitch system on my TT and Flex. If there is nothing they can do with it, then I will know it's the vehicles suspension system that's the culprit. Will deal with that issue then. Either sell the TT and wait till lease is up, or cover and winterize TT and wait till spring. If I am up to messing with it, will be heading for the county park over here to join the others in the GTG.

Lori, glad to hear you are feeling better. I too am not running to the little room as much as I was these past two days  Gotta keep the prayers going for Mitch. Kathleen, you sound so much more relaxed and content now that you are staying in your own home and have Shadow back. Sounds like Louise and Carolb had a nice visit yesterday too.

Yep, weather definitely is cooler here. Actually about 15 degrees below normal and with the breeze, a tad cooler. I'm glad that that GTG up here isn't till next week when the temps are supposed to go back to more normal range. This is a bit too chilly to enjoy although at the county park, it might not be too bad as it's on the west side of the lake and the winds are from the Northwest, so more sheltered. But mid to upper 70's in next weekends forecast sounds better.

Well, enough chatter for now. You all have a nice afternoon out there.

G'afternoon all! :D

Well, I was up early & on the forum briefly, then hit the road. On my own today, but have arrived safely at my sis's farm. Finally catching up on more forum stuff.
Lori, I'm so happy you're on the mend, but yes, do keep taking it easy for a bit!

Thanks, Louise, :D such a great visit--so wonderful for me to find another very gracious forum friend! Will clarify: I was not brave enough to walk all three dogs with her very regal "The William," so I took only Piper who needs to be away from her pack now & then to know that I'm alpha

Will catch y'all tomorrow morning--in the meantime, have a great evening & safe travels always! 8-)
