Good morning all :D

Rabbits???? ...looks like rain here today. Sorry about your sidewalk issue Donna :( but hope your yard sale is a success... Red, hope you get home to that daughter soon!

Such excitement over all the gtgs! Ruckus a few days away, a couple in MI starting to firm up (check gtg if you're planning on one of those; I posted some suggestions?), & Peg stopping by my place soon. West coast Sept gtg coming up fast--will be here in a blink of the eye...

Not much going on for me today--look forward to hearing how y'all are doing this morning & hope all is well! Have a great day! 8-)

Rabbits. Rabbits. Actually remembered!! Things are rolling along here. They got the steering stabilizer in yesterday. Now we have to test drive. However, they ruined our dashboard installing the switch. The saw slipped and left a hole and scratches in the dash. They ordered a new dash, but come to find that for 2014, they have a different dash design for this model. We'll let them figure it out and let them ship it to Houston. The bed is suppose to arrive today. So everything should be installed by tomorrow and we'll roll out by Saturday.

There is so much going on with all the gtgs. I want to go to them all. So close and yet so far. As an island girl I thought all of the mainland was just a day's drive. I just couldn't picture in my mind's eye how long it took to go 500 miles. And everything is at least 500 miles. However this is just the beginning and I have alot of miles in me :P

Everyone have a great day and stay safe. Aloha y'all

I did it again, I always seem to post on the wrong day. This must be a retirement problem I need to get use to :D

Good Morning, I woke up to the sound of rain here in the NY wine country. I wonder why it seems to always rain when I have to unhook the RV and hook up the tow car. Maybe I should invest in some rain pants.

I am sitting here having my coffee and oatmeal. What a dreary morning.

Hope everyone has a great day. I am heading to the 1000 Island area of NY for three days and hope to arrive at the Ruckus On Sunday morning some time.

good morning ladies
well, I bid on a wheelchair route this year and hope the bus I picked has good ac. At least with this route I have the same kids in the morning
and afternoon. I already know most of the kids and they are easy to manage type. However, with the wheelchair bus I will have an aide
and this year for the first time they are letting aides pick the route they want to ride on according to seniority. This is a first. In the past
drivers and aides have got together and decided on their own based on friendships and who could work with who. This part concerns me.
Anyway, tomorrow is the inservice meeting and luncheon so pretty much a full boring day. Then another meeting for drivers on Monday.
Tuesday we'll practice drive our routes and school starts Wednesday. :D
Building up the savings account is my priority now :D afterall, I've got dreams to build, people to see and places to go :D
Time to get dressed and get busy on my day. Catch ya'll later, have a good day and be safe.

Another hot day in South Louisiana. Our thermometer says 99. It's like walking into an oven. I was late feeding the barn cats yesterday and the mosquitoes just about ate me alive.

Louise, you are experiencing one of the problems of being retired. We never know what day it is. I use to make fun of my DH but now it happens to me. We have one of the atomic clocks that has the day and date on it and sometimes I have to check it to know what day it is.

Red, it seems like all the GTG's are 500 miles or more from me too. Every time one is planned I check to see how far it is from me. I know you will be ready to head home. I'm still waiting to hear what they are doing with my motorhome. The guy that called about my front tires having cupping wanted to get me 2 tires like the ones that are bad. Those tires are only a year old and probably only have 5,000 miles on them. Either the tires are defective or there is something wrong with the front end. He just wanted to sell me some tires. If they don't find anything wrong with the front end those tires are going back where I got them.

Donna, sorry they tore up your sidewalk when you wanted to have a garage sale. They always seem to tear up things at the most inconvenient times. DOT is replacing a bridge on a highway West of us. They wait until the middle of hurricane season to cut the road and take 8 moths to replace the bridge. They are planning on replacing a bridge between us and town. I hope they don't start that before the other bridge is finished. Where we live on the coast there are just a few ways to go North and when they detour 18-wheelers on country roads they tear them up fast.

My neighbor just called and wants me to go check and see if she left her stove on. I know that worry. Sometimes I feel like bringing my curling iron with me so I know it's not on.
