Monday...and Raining again, still, yet....

Yep, Spinner & I got about half way thru our morning walk and could here it raining across the river....coming our way....so we got our fur wet by the time we got back....

Another day of inside entertainment....

We had company over the 4th from GA....our friends, Andy & Gwen, along with their little dog, Diamond, drove up with their tent and spent 4 days with us...it was a surprise and we so enjoyed showing them where I grew up....of course, they met my family here and we did some touring, but the visit was too short and hope that we can more the next time they come North.....They are the folks that we park in their back yard with the tiki hut and the salt marshes for our view....we love it there...and they are great friends....some of you have met them at the CG at Ft. Stewart. ( I think Tina, Beth, and PeggyVT).....they said to say "Hey" to you all....They left for home on Sat. and are taking their time going back to GA....having a grand adventure along the way....

Have finally caught up on all the posts that I missed while at the "no cell, no internet," campground for 2 months...took me awhile but am somewhat up to date...

Okay, coffee is on and the raspberry muffins are cooling....Help yourselves...

Good morning everyone. Tired of the rain. Not tired of the cooler temps though. It is such a pleasure to walk Tyler along the beach without dying from the heat. Although it is still going to rain today, we have a rental car and will do a little exploring and also shopping. We are extending our stay here until Wed before heading north. I have yet to have wifi strong and steady enough to upload pictures to my blog. So I am frustrated with that. I will probably take computer up to the guest lounge and see if there is a better connection. Everyone have a great day and be safe. Aloha, y'all

GOOD MORNING LORI, RED, AND ALL!

Rain again this morning, as usual. Vermont and north of here in Plattsburgh are getting the heaviest showers, which means that Richard's road is just getting worse and worse. He has had to miss two bluegrass festivals for which he saved all winter to attend, and he is getting really depressed. He has an open offer to drive just his truck over here and he could stay in my older trailer with JJ, his little dog. If he brings his guitar, we could have our own bluegrass festival.

The weather report has a ray of hope this morning, however, as, by the weekend, we might get a change in the soggy weather pattern. I am really counting on that to become a reality. Meanwhile, I guess I will go through more in-house "stuff" to see what I would really like to keep down in my basement room "safe" area, and weed out anything to give away, sell, or toss. Orion is such a great help when I take drawers apart!

Hope the weather is better elsewhere, and that the summer is not a total washout up here. One good thing is the ripening of the blueberries which is happening every day now. I am off to make some blueberry pancakes with some new multi-grain pancake mix I found at the store yesterday. Happy Monday all.

I'm back from my adventures in MI! I had a great weekend with Colliemom Sue 2 weeks ago before venturing off to my family reunion then exploring parts of MI's Upper Peninsula and a little in Ontario. This little taste firmed up my desire to do the circle around Lake Superior! Someday!

I will post pictures after I have chance to go through them. I have several hundred (if not thousands) to sort through, plus also all the mundane things such as laundry and figuring out expenses for the trip.

Good Morning. Sorry about the crappy weather some of you are experiencing. I don't like it too hot or too cold, well lets just say I like perfect weather LOL

It is a beautiful morning here. I am sitting on my front patio drinking my morning coffee. We are supposed to heat up this afternoon to 94 and even hotter tomorrow. Oh well my AC is working great again so guess I will just be housebound for a bit. I need to clean out my refrigerator and finish some laundry so guess I have some things to do inside this morning.

Had a great time with Laura (CougarFan) this past week. We managed to get some camping in for a couple of days.(My AC quit working the day Laura arrived, the hottest day of the year so far....ahhhh Murphy strikes again) Was an added benefit as we went to 7Feathers Casino campground (about 80 miles north so we had AC in the Motorhome) and they do not allow ANY fireworks of any kind on tribal land. Our dogs were very happy, so were we as they are terrified of the noise. Came home to my AC working again and just enjoyed visiting and catching up. We have a camping trip planned with Finally Time (Karen aka K2 in her new Motorhome) Laura (CougarFan) and myself at Caseys Riverside RV Resort east of Eugene in August for a week. Should be fun. Anyone else in the area is welcome to join us.

It's a hot humid morning here too, decided to skip yoga, I'm like Karen I'm housebound when it gets this way. A friend is coming over after while to bring me garden goodies, eggs and cake! Tonight my cousin and son are coming for a game of dominoes so I won't be lonesome. Yes, DH is here but he will be in his studio working all day as usual. I sure hope lots of his work is selling at that show in Chicago or we are going to have to add a room! The little girl across the street asked me yesterday if I had a husband.
I just read Roadweavers blog, and I'm so happy her maiden voyage went well! I'm going to have to check out the places she talked about in St Louis. I've been to the Central Dairy in Jefferson City but it's been over 25 years glad to hear it is still there, I would make the trip just to have some of their ice cream!!

I know its past noon but wanted to say HEY to ya'll, it was a back to work day for me. My one kid I transport didn't
go today so they kept me busy taking buses over to emissions inspection. They have me working out of the south
yard this session, no shade in the parking lot. Makes for a very hot car when I get to do my drive home. The north
yard has a parking garage which I always liked because my car was always out of the weather. Trying to cool off now
and see what I'm going to do to keep myself busy this afternoon, otherwise I'll be forced to just chill out in front of
the tv
