Good Morning all,

Just passing through this morning. Been having a busy but fun week here in the Upper Peninsula. The weather has been glorious, not to brag, but it really has. Couldn't ask for more perfect weather. Sunshine and temps in 70's, Today is supposed to get a bit warm however, near 90 I guess. But by the lake there is a nice breeze, so will just enjoy the day here. Do have to run to store as Sassy doesn't want canned food, or at least what I have right now. So am going to get some dried. Even Wal Mart in Marquette doesn't carry Pedigree in the Chopped Beef flavor

Haven't been on this week due to getting moving in the mornings, sometimes an extremely slow connection etc. etc. But I"ve been running all over up here, enjoying the sights and scenery. Been touring a couple of iron mine areas, stopped at a waterfall, been to a couple of state parks, one of which is new to me and just plain taking in the summer in the U.P. Will be posting pictures after I get home and can get them into my computer. Right now it will not download them from my camera. Maybe memory stick is too worn for it to pick them up or something. Will change the sleeve on it when I get home. Or hook it up to it's USB cable and go that route.

Just make a quick skim of past MC's and looks like everybody's been busy too. Donna, you sound like you are making progress slow but sure in your downsizing. Kathleen, I'm sorry things are not going your way right now, but given time they will improve, trust me ((HUGS))). Soos sound like she is enjoying having her whole family in NY right now despite all the rain. CArol is getting things done between rain drops too. Steve and Irmi, hope you had a grand 4th with your friends. Carolb is back home and probably planning her next outing. Ava has cooler air now, BarbaraRose is planning a birthday party for her dad with a nice surprise thrown in. Sharon, so glad to see you posting again. Even Wendy has chimed in and I'm waiting for an update on her life too.

Wendy, no I haven't gptte a nTT. The salesman and I decided it was best to refund my deposit cause it was taking so long to get the new ones in and at the time he didn't know when they would be in. I had put down the deposit on Memorial Day weekend and by end of June, no word as to delivery date, plus I was leaving to come up here which pushes things to mid July already. They are now in however and if I decide I want one, I will go over there after I get home. But I've been enjoying the freedom of driving and sightseeing and what not so much this past wekk, that I don't know if I want a TT hooked up on my bumper when I travel. The van idea that Louise has is more appealing to me right now. So we shall see.

Well, time to be off here. Bath time, wash hair time and head to the store which is about 25 miles, so am going to wish you all a wonderful day.

Good Morning... have been up since 4 am... am becoming an early bird but that will change back when things settle down...

Sue glad you are enjoying your stay in the UP... I love that part of Mi..

Wendy good to hear from you...

Coffee is hot will share... and even cook you breakfast if you get here before 9 when the kitchen closes..

I have a few big black ants again... they seem to be becoming resistant to Bounce... sprayed some but have to wash that up... do not have to wash it up as often as when Shadow was here... didn't want him to get into the stuff...

Have a great day
Kathleen

Good morning all. Had a great 4th watching fireworks over the gulf here in Biloxi. The the clouds came together with lightening, thunder, wind, rain. Felt like a hurricane. Lasted all night. I got up & took Tyler out when ever it let up for a min. Still threatening this morning. But got on my trike and Tyler and I went up and down Beach Blvd. we're probably staying here for a couple more days. DH has done very well at the poker tables (I call it adult day care  ). Hope everyone has a great day and stay safe. Aloha y'all

P.S. another acronym for RED: Retired Extremely Dangerous

good morning ladies
much cooler temps coming in, only suppose to get up to 104 today. Don't have a whole lot planned today, one little quick
trip to the vet to get a blood draw for Pixie. Will do that this morning sometime while its still cool. Hate climbing into a
hot car. Doing some misc cleaning, not because it needs it but because I need to do something to keep the joints fluid.
Then of course there is always laundry to do. I will find something to keep me busy :D
Ya'll have a good day and be safe.

Good Morning All, Sue, I loved the UP when I was there. Would like to go back again.
BBQ at the grandson's was nice yesterday. Weather perfect. Big Bang on the bay went off spectacularly. Casey slept through the bangs, but cat was upset. Daughter and son-in-law went down and watched...said there were thousands. Glad they didn't have to drive anywhere afterwards, just walked home. lyn

Good Morning All, We had a quiet day, in the fact that we did nothing, but we could hear fireworks going off most of the day and into the late evening. The dogs didn't pay it too much attention, Andy handled it pretty well which surprised me as he really gets freaked at thunder. Guess he knew the difference.
Has anyone seen the show on NOVA called Dogs Decoded? You can also watch it online. It was really interesting especially the part about the fox experiment. I've always wondered why studies were always saying dogs only had so many words they understood. Every person who has a dog that shares their life realizes that dogs understand most of what is said to them, much of the time even if it is non-verbal. This show talked about the studies that have been done showing dogs amazing connection to people. I want to watch it again as I saw it at 3 or 4AM and I'm sure I missed a bit. It was one of those nights that I kept waking up so finally turned on the TV.

just past morning here
Even after finding place to buy 20 more leveling blocks and installing them, I'm not level enough to try fridge again. However, it is at least much more comfortable walking/sitting inside rig. plus I do like my new site.
could not see last nights fireworks but did enjoy a quiter version put on by dozens of little fireflys.
Linda and Sandy have a real adventure late this evening -from 6-8:30 tonight they will be on a kayaking tour to spot wildlife along one of the lakes inside Land Between the Lakes NWR.
Have a great day, all.
