Good morning all! :D

Well before Irmi gets on here to tell you, I'll have to confess that I was really a wimp yesterday! Oh, yes, I learned how to crack open fresh crabs, but ICK!!! Especially, when I put my glasses on & realized they're little eyeballs were staring at me!!!  I conjured up a little bravery & continued for a few. And then I realized I've never had REAL FRESH crab meat, so my taste buds didn't adjust to that either  Today, crab cakes! Maybe that will please my taste buds. Oh, but y'all should see Irmi & Steve do their thing! Loved watching them enjoy a "ubiquitous" MD tradition!

Having such a great time here, & missed y'all yesterday. Red, so happy to see you on the road! BJ, you're itch concoction is just what I need--I have mosquito bites like crazy! Tried my cider vinegar, but doesn't last long...Ava, Sue, enjoy your vacations...Sarah a happy camper!!! Can't remember what all else is going on--always good to see you Kathleen & hope all is well with you.

Another couple days here of living the life of Irmi & Steve--now I can put "pictures" with words. They'd shared so much of their story with me, now I see where it all took place. Really a beautiful life they've carved out for themselves in a very beautiful part of the country!

Y'all have a great day & safe travels always 8-)

Carol, try a mixture of lemon and eucalyptus "Repel" for non-toxic mosquito repellent. You can order online or get it at sporting goods or most any place that sells insect repellent. I use it all the time on my dogs also.

Good Morning All, Donna, loved those ear rings on your blog!
Today I attend a dance recital of the 3 year old great-grand daughter. Her mother is a dancer and has been giving her lessons since she was born!
Other than that, will be a quiet day. Yesterday went and ate at a vegetarian/vegan restaurant. Very good food.

I'm recovering from a wonderful family weekend. My nephews wedding brought out of town family members back so we had several family gatherings plus the wedding and reception. We hosted yesterday's fish fry and last night I was so tired I could hardly remember who I was. This morning I am ready to repeat the whole weekend. The out of town guests stayed here and we got the Shasta ready as the extra guest house. Now I am ready to hit the road. I have to start planning this falls adventure. It's going to be a beautiful day here so think we will take a ride.

guess its noon now, but I've been home a couple hours now. First thing I had to do was go down and load up on the electric
card as it was just about empty and son was sleeping. Could imagine him waking up to this heat and no cooler cause the
electric card was empty. It would serve him right.
Poor Pixie, missed me and didn't eat well, she's lost weight, am afraid I'll have to go down and get some of that pasty stuff
from a tube and supplement her. Can't remember what its called but think I'll remember it when I see it.
Busy doing laundry and catching up here. Catch ya'll later. It sure is hot but each day will be cooler and eventually it'll be
down to something tolerable, about september  at least it cools down to 90 at night.

Ava your little one brought tears to my eyes... I wonder if my Shadow is eating or if he is so sad... it hurts again...
I have never had crabs and think it would be hard for me to learn how to try them...
Take care everyone..
