Thursday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Thursday

Good morning, I'm surprised someone isn't in here yet. I have a lot to catch up on here, can't seem to find the time. I got home to a mess in the yard. Had a tree fall, and so much rain yard hasn't been mowed much either. When I turned off the highway, my heart just sank. Oh well, such is life. Do I have to say, I am not that happy to be home ??? :(

I hope everything is going better for the rest of you. I need to check up on all of you :P  ;) Won't stay on here long this morning, just thought it was time I checked in here and let all know I am off the road for now. I will leave Sunday and go to my friends in Cleveland to get my RV's booboo fixed. Sure be glad when that is all done and over.

Well, on to laundry, mowing etc., etc. whatever I can fit into this day, think they said more storms this afternoon, so must do some of the yard.

Take care, and wishing you all happy traveling days, stay safe. I had a wonderful trip, such fun at the reunion,

CArol :)

GOOD MORNING CAROL AND ALL!

Glad to have you check in, and sorry to hear the news about your yard and home stuff needing attending to-----it's always something is a very apropos saying. Liz is here, and who knows what we will do today, but it will be a relatively cool yet sunny day, so anything should be fun.

Gotta get moving here. Saranac Lake (nad right here st my place) was the coldest spot in the lower 48 today with a temperature of 30 degrees. PLEASE hope it didn't kill our blueberries!

Happy Thursday to all!

Morning all. I finished up my work project on Tuesday and am now in prep mod for leaving on Sunday to arrive at Lori's gtg on Tuesday. This Saturday is assigned for a day run down to Louisville to drop off my x-pens so Lyn can use them for the pups as they get up on their feet and that whelping box world will no longer be enough! :o :) But that means an opportunity for pup pictures! ;)

Got propane filled yesterday and most of my errands run. Two days to pack and finish making a temporary "cot" platform to fit over the dog kennels so that my daughter will have a place to sleep when she meets up with me after the PA gtg. It will be 26 inches wide....but I figure that is still better than the floor! And I am willing to give up my chair space for a days needed. Pictures to follow.

The sun shine is beckoning and the humidity isn't suppose to get too high. Ohio weather at its best! We will be on the road soon!

Good Morning All, My post of yesterday went puff also?!?! Don't have any idea what happened.

The posts of yesterday were interesting. Everyone is busy! I'm in the process of cleaning the condo as my daughter and son-in-law are arriving for a visit on Sunday. They will be here 8 days during which we will have lots of gtg's with the family.

I missed some posts while out of town over the past weekend. Sue, did your TT deal fall through?

The friend I was visiting had a stroke about three years ago and is completely helpless except for being able to feed herself. Her husband is her 24/7 care taker. He is becoming exhausted. It is a sad situation.

Be safe all who are on the road. lyn

Woke up this morning to my power going out and then back on. It did this four or five times in about 30 minutes, but seems to have stopped now. I checked my cords, but then called office and found out it was entire campground. Can't be too much usage because there are only a handful of us here in Cedar Bluff State Park in central Kansas. This is about 10 miles from I 70, but is really empty country around here with a definite prairie feel. In fact, nearest other camper is at least 800 feet away in another loop. Really, really windy here, and going to be 98 later today.

Not much posting lately because I have been busy trying to catch up with end of semester stuff and getting ready for a new semester that starts Monday. (No rest for the wicked!) Spent a ton of time yesterday fixing some bad questions on the final exam (I inherited this class this past semester) and adjusting scores. Need to turn in grades later today and prepare some materials for next week. Also got to call insurance company and order prescriptions, plus balance my checkbook. Got a ton of laundry to do, but that will have to wait for a couple more days until I get to civilization.

I came in here on Tuesday after driving through a horrible rain/hail/wind storm on the freeway. Reports say winds were 50-60 MPH and I thought I would get blown off the road but managed to drive slowly, following another RV, to an exit and a bunch of us parked along the exit ramp until the hail stopped and the winds slowed down. Hail was almost marble size--but no damage that I can see. I need to get someone to inspect roof.

My medical issues seem to be solved. No more bloody urine and no pain, so whatever was passed, is gone and solved, which is good. Feeling good. I will be in Colorado Springs overnight this Sunday and then headed to a campground near Gunnison where my cousin is workcamping. He's been full-timing for 8 years with his wife, and I have not seen him for several years. Nice to have 29 first cousins, although some I lost contact with decades ago, but at least while I travel around, I can stop and visit those I do keep in contact with. This one is only two years younger than I am and grew up half a block away from me. (He is the only other person who talks to my brother who has had lifelong substance abuse problems and who now has serious health issues, so it is nice to have someone to compare notes with.)

Updated my blog with photos of my last few days. URL is http://grandmajjb.blogspot.com/ if you are interested.

Judy, I can see how a weekend with the family "pack" could leave you exhausted but smiling with memories having been made.
