Good morning all! :D

Boy, am I glad to open with "sunny" in the subject line! After Liz left yesterday a.m., I was so bummed :( ! It was such a gray gray day til about 6 p.m., that I just moped all day :x Awww, you're all so sweet with your kind words about me, but it so easy to be nice to y'all--you're the best!!!! Liz got me excited about my area again--saw things I hadn't seen in years, & wow did we discover great things I never knew were here! She's a "happy snapper," so I'm also looking forward to seeing her blog! :P She & Thistle, what can I say??? It was such a great time!!!! Thanks Liz!!!

Sue, great table!!! Maggie, have a great trip to MI. Ava, such a good friend to hang-in there despite the family "feuds"--sounds like you are giving them a needed break. Liz, did you get the kayak you wanted?

Oops, need to get going. Have to get Ape to vet for dental cleaning shortly. Can't wait til the PA gtg! Less than a week away!!! :P

Y'all have a great day & safe travels always!! 8-)

Good morning all!

Yep---we had a first-day-of-summer frost this morning! I had to turn on the furnace here in the trailer. Even the dogs did not wish to stay out there! HOWEVER----no rain in sight for a few days now, and temperatures to rise into the 80s by the weekend----YIPPEE!

Liz is due to arrive here sometime today while she awaits the making of her new Hornbeck boat which she ordered from the maker in Olmsteadville, NY. It will be fun to see her again, and discover some things to do while she is here. I am sure she will probably show me some places I haven't visited here in years and years! Sounds as if you and Liz had a great time, Carol!

I'm in charge of the Bopper today while his mother goes to Potsdam for a meeting and to do some stuff at their house up there. I think I'd best put on some running shoes and clothes I can move fast in!

Off to get my hose for my pump-to-to-water supply from the local RV dealer and hope it will no longer leak with its new washers. If it does, I'll just have to get a whole new kit with hoses included.

Sue, your picnic table is really sweet! What a good carpenter you are!

Hope everyone has a good day wherever you may be!

Good Morning ladies,

Carolb, nice to see you are finally having some sunshine. Soos sounds like she is going to get her exercise today and Lize will be there too. Should be fun. We had frost possibility last night too, but none this morning out there. Covered some of my flowers just in case. Ava, it so nice that you are helping your friend out. I too think you should move to CO once you retire, so seen to love it there.

Dang, wish I were heading to the PA GTG too, but no rig handy at the moment. Am finding some possibilities at some dealers that will require a day long trip to check out and come home, but no time to mess with that right now. Am finishing up some projects here, namely painting my deck and finishing that picnic table. Want to enjoy the time with Maggie and see what we get into and also am getting ready to leave next week myself.

Maggie, laughed at your remark about keeping up with me when you are here. No problem with that as it's going to be pretty warm and also humid and that is not my kind of weather. I usually spend it trying to find a cool spot someplace, like in the car

I did get a coat of paint on the deck yesterday and may put a second one on the one section that takes the most traffic or maybe not. Priority for today is the picnic table. Want to do a final sanding and get a coat of varnish on it. Neighbor may also come over to install a new light over my kitchen table for me. Neighbor next door gave it to me. Like Maggie and her last minute panic, my trip is coming up and do I have everything in place etc. I too am going to get into that mode next week. Already starting to set some stuff out in my box to take along and thinking of what else I need to do before I leave. I do have an option to stay an additional 10 days up there if I want, but not sure I will or not. Have a dentist appt. that I would need to come back for and also the grass will be 10 feet tall, although neighbor said he would cut it. But there is also the $$$$ end of it too

Well, time to move along to the sander. Have a great day all. Those of you on the road, enjoy your travels. Looks like Carold picked a good summer to head to AK as they are getting record heat up there.

Another good weather day here in northern Yellowstone. Sheila pm'd me about trying to gtg, but the timing and distance did not work out  Went to a podiatrist yesterday and the X-ray showed a small fracture right where the table hit; just below where I would have needed surgery and right where I 'm not suppose to put any pressure-like walking. He gave me one of those black shoes that force u to walk on heel only or can use crutches. The shoes r awkward and not great for the back. I can get around faster hopping  so, that puts a limit on activities for the next 4-6 weeks   ok, off to get crutches and hit the road. carold

good morning ladies
friend was treated and released from the hospital, came back home around 1:30. Dehydration and morphine withdrawals
as she had run out and didn't tell anyone. Thats where the pain was coming from and therefore wouldn't get out of bed.
She has also been told if she can't do these things by herself she will definately be put in a facility that will take care
of her, and no more soiling sheets. She's also been told when they cut off her leg, they did not cut off her brain, she
is a very sharp woman and we are no longer going to cater to her every whim. She knows she has an appt at the doc
today and its up to her to get ready and let me know when she's ready to go as I'm ready already, just grab my keys
and go.
One of her older brothers from Kentucky is coming later this month, he's afraid I'm going to leave after yesterdays
event, but no, I'll be here.
Today looks to be pretty much filled up with two doctor appts and a little housework. Will try to get myself over to
Barr Lake tomorrow morning for a morning walk.
I do love Colorado but I love my family more and will stay down in AZ when I retire but of course when the heat of
summer hits, I'll be gone, like the wind. Winters in AZ are nice and its why the snowbirds flock there.
Time to get my mail caught up and other necessary computer stuff :D ya'll have a great day.

Hello all... not doing good here still miss my furry friend more than my mind can take.

Sue you did a right professional job on that table congratulations!

Oh yes Carol, Liz can find things we would never think of... she is something else... I always enjoy her!

Ava such a job that is with your friend... I owned and operated as well as lived in an adult foster care home for many years... I took care of 6 to 7 elderly ladies... if they have that kind of home near where she lives and you can find a good one that may be the answer for her... not a nursing home... she would have companion ship and her meals cleaning laundry would all be done for her...

Much is going on here... I think I will run away!!

Hope everyone has a good day

Kathleen

Lots of sun and humidity here this morning too and supposed to be this way for awhile  I think I should be watching for a window to head north. Sue isn't the first couple of weeks in July when you usually have your warmest weather up there? I hope you and Maggie find places to go where you can be comfortable and that it gets cooler soon.
Ava you are a true friend, I hope your friend can realize she needs to cooperate better in her health care. Carold, so glad you didn't need surgery but sorry you have to be on crutches. Soos sounds like you will have a good time with Liz and the little Bopper. Carolb I know how lonely you must feel, it's hard when company that you enjoy so much has to leave. Glad you rediscovered the area around you, I will look forward to Liz's pictures.
Electricians are working in the basement and the dogs are barking at their every move, I think I will go 'get their attention' :!:

Whew! Sister #2 is on her way to China. Sister #1 has a stripped-out but now inhabitable cottage. Today I rest!

Carold, I'm so sorry about your foot! Being physically limited in the summer is just rotten. I'm glad you got the x-ray, though. It's so easy to re-break a healing fracture if you don't know it's there. Sue, that table is great! Ava, your friend is so lucky to have you in her life.

Kathleen, I am so sorry you are suffering. I'm sure it wasn't a decision you made lightly, and remember that you gifted your beautiful Shadow to a good home.
HUGS, friend!
