Wet Wednesday

Good morning all! :D

Yikes, I've been up since 3:30, but have waited to post, hoping someone else would post a "sunny Wednesday" Not raining, but wet from overnight & very gray. Sun is to be out sometime today!!! :P

Liz, read where you had a not-fun drive to Syracuse yesterday :( Twas a nasty day!!! Come on sun!!!! Will mow today if it dries out--same for you Soos?? Spent all day yesterday rearranging many of my kitchen cabinets & making more counter space--a good use of a rainy day. But dang, if I'm home, I want to be outside!!!!

Ava, such a great thing, doing so much for your friend! Reunion this Sat??? Your story of Maggie & the cat had me saying "yep, cagey cats!"...

Poopers to the vet this afternoon, & that's about it! Hope you all have a great day & safe travels always! 8-)

I think it's going to be less wet here today, but it's steamy and it was 81 coming to work - at 7 am!!!! It's supposed to be close to 100 here all weekend Martha.

Oh and my county was place under a burn ban today - even with all the rain we've had the last several days.

I'm a great-aunt for the first time. My step-niece had a little girl yesterday morning. As she's in Norway, details are slow to come my way. But I do know that mother and daughter are doing fine. And I can call my sister GRANDMA!!!!!

Good morning, all! I am relaxing in an Ohio campground before I head to Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, and other points west tomorrow. Got my motorhome cleaned up and most laundry done after my long weekend with son and his wife and three little grandkids. Today, I need to catch up on grading some papers---last of the semester. I'll have a brief break between now and then next semester, so am going to catch up on RV organization then.

Still got a toilet full of toilet paper from the weekend, but I am confident it is breaking up and will flush when I dump tanks tomorrow. I keep trying to add water but it is slow as it absorbs. No more paper until all of that happens, to say the least.

Well it is really sunny here and HOT. Heat index today supposed to be over 100! But the good news is tomorrow a cool front comes in, sure hope the weather forecast is right.
Judy congratulations on surviving the weekend, I doubt if I would have. I hope you get your paper problem solved! Maggie, think Michigan and cool breezes! Carob you are up before the birds! I got up around three but went to the couch and slept until 6:30 when Toby, my little alarm clock, decided it was time to get up. He goes to DH's door and starts with a strange low whimpering sound which he increases in volume until he gets results, some people pay $$ for those types of alarms that wake you gradually
I guess I'll be doing inside stuff as it is too hot to go out, my cabinets could also use rearranging plus I need to clean in the utility room we had a mouse. yuck!!!

'morning ladies
Having trouble getting moving today. Under heat advisory again; high 98/heat index 110. Unusual for his early in the year. Several reasons I need to go out today but not making any motions in that direction yet. Thankfully the A/C is working fine.
Still fighting problem with ears/dizziness. ENT appointment on the 19th.
Hummm, maybe I'll just waste the day playing on the computer.

Good Morning....I will never be able to get on this forum before all you early birds in the east!!! Otherwise I would change the title to "O'cast with the sun in the afternoon".

A big fog bank sits off the coast all day and comes in during the night. Then goes out again. Same ole, same ole.

I paid the state the $200 after I found out what I did wrong!!!

Keep that air conditioning going ladies...isn't it wonderful!

I'm going to lunch today with my group of OLD RETIRED WATER SAFETY INSTRUCTORS. And, I do mean old. Oldest will be 100 in August. Of course I am one of the youngest in the group which they never let me forget!

I enjoy reading about the happenings in your lives. lyn

It's overcast here so only about 90. I don't think it's suppose to rain but it sure looks like it could. As much rain as Houston has received doesn't look like you should have a burn ban but guess the heat dries it out fast. Our grass is growing so fast it needs mowing twice a week.

Judy, your weekend made me tired just reading about it. With my small tanks I have to dump almost every day when kids are with me. You don't realize how many buttons a motorhome has until there are little fingers wanting to push them. I took my sister and 2 of her boys camping at a lake with a waterpark once. I wasn't even parked and hooked up and the youngest one had most of his clothes and half the towels wet. I was ready to choke him.

Good Mornkng all,

Early afternoon at the 45th now. Been too busy with appt. and errands this morning to get on here. Had I posted first, I could have broken the "wet" thread for Partly cloudy with a bit of morning fog. Now just partly cloudy and comfortable. Temps in mid 70's. Looks like another perfect day.

Had a wonderful time on the bus tour yesterday. Such a wonderful group of people too. Left home here at 8:20 a.m. and didn't get back till 7 p.m. I have a mess of pictures to sort through and get things organized and then I will present the tour and the sights in General Talk as soon as I can get them done.

I'm heading out to the garage in a short here to finish putting that picnic table together, so I can get the wood filler into the screw holes etc., and let it dry. Later this week I will varnish. Need the right kind of drying weather for that.

Also have a bit of sad news to report on this end as well. Ms. Tessa has been really "ping" lately, both having accidents in the house and seems every 10 feet when she is outdoors. Plus her breath is getting really "BAD", which is a sign the kidney disease is progressing toward the final stage for sure. I had a consultation with our vet this morning and we both agreed that the time has come. So tomorrow morning, she will be making her last trip with me to the vet's office and then off to Rainbow Bridge. It's a hard decision n and a rough day as well, as I am going to need to keep some Kleenex handy here, but I know in my hear that it's the right decision. I don't want her going into the final throes of this disease. My met is ready for some Kleenex too. He said that is the hardest part of veterinary medicine. But we have fought the bacterial infection and the kidney disease for almost a year now and have given her that time to enjoy and be dog. If we believe in that "Rainbow Bridge" we know that past furry friends will be waiting up there for us and those we send before us. In Tessa's case it will be Dancer up there. So Sassy and I will be making that trip to Michigamme in two weeks, just the two of us. But I also feel that it's time for me to turn my attention to Sassy and the years she has left. She's 11 1/2 now and still full of energy, so we must explore and enjoy time together. I know she will mourn some, being Tessa's mother, but I also think she might enjoy being top dog for awhile.

Dang, losing my sunshine out there. Hope it doesn't rain. Was supposed to stay downstate a bit farther. Oh well, will be in garage anyway.

So I am heading out now.. Have a nice rest of the day all.
