Morning all,

Guess you all must be sleeping in today. Good day for it, as it's a cloudy, dark and wet morning here. But we need the rain, so no complaints. Been coming just enough to keep things watered and growing nicely. I took my hanging baskets down from my porch and set them out last night, so they can get a good drink of mom nature's water.

Yes, Sarah, gas in MI is over $4 a gallon, although a check on the Michigan Gas Prices website showed that the Detroit Metro area gas has come down into the $3.90 range now. It has dropped a bit up here as well, but is still holding at $4.28 here. Traverse City, where Maggie has to go, is now at $4.10. Maggie, you might want to check out "Michigan Gas Prices" on your computer before you head north. It will give you and idea of the prices in various towns.

Picnic table project was going along very well till I discovered the cross brace for the seats is a few inches too low. So will be raising that today. Other wise it's done except for that and the seat installation. Then will fill in the screw holes with wood filler and sand down the whole works again, prior to varnishing. Will post picture after it's done.

Had a nice time on Saturday, watching the plans from the annual Splash In on Otsego Lake. It was a good day for it, cloudy, but calm. Watched take offs and landings, bomb drops and what not for awhile and the headed for home to work on the table some more. It's been a very nice weather pattern here for the past few days, especially yesterday. Perfect day actually.

So today's agenda has a little house pickum up, shopping, getting car plates renewed and then off to work on the table. Since it's going to be rainy, good day to do this stuff. Tomorrow I will be off with my neighbors church group that's going on a bus tour over to Traverse City. We are going up the Old Mission Peninsula to the Old Mission General Store, Lighthouse and also a stop at one of the local homemade ice cream places that's got quite a reputation up here. Talk about good :D Should be a fun trip. Leaving early, so won't be on tomorrow.

Hope you all have a inice day both today and tomorrow.

Good Morning, I am at a friends farm here in Maryland attempting to boondock for the first time. I am happy to say that my friend and her family invited for dinner and good conversation.

It is raining so very hard that I hope all the ladies in our Assemblage group, a group of lady artist, will make it. My show and tell is Miss Kitty.

Try to stay dry.
Louise

Good morning all! :D

Donna, I'm with you--tired of rainy, dreary weather! I didn't get out for my overnight in HarBor last week, since there were so very few good weather days, & then I had to tend to the S&B, mostly yard work. Got two of my shades made yesterday, one more to make this morning before the rain comes in again!! Then more spring cleaning! Yep, being in my little 17ft RT is so much easier & definitely more fun!!!!

Hey Louise, your first boondocking! Good for you! & how exciting to show off your Miss Kitty! ...Wow, & Soos made it home!!! Hooray!

Okay, think I'll get to work now--need to spend time training Piper & re-training my other two poopers! Haven't even had much time for that!

Y'all have a great day & safe travels always! 8-)

I love the idea of Miss Kitty for show-and-tell!

It's rainy here, too, but that's ok. It's good for the gardens, and I planned on looking for some blackout material for curtains today, anyway. Ivy isn't ready for curtains yet, but I have a 50% off coupon this week. :D

Just a quick good morning. Really feeling the lack of sleep. Tyler woke me at 3:30 and had to go out. I fell back to sleep around 5:30. Then had to get up @ 7:30 to go to lesson. I'm at the shooting range for my skeet lessons. Then headed to outlet mall to pick up some summer type clothes that fit my more rubenesque size. everyone have a great day and stay safe. Aloha y'all

Morning gals! Cloudy, wet and cool this morning. Supposed to get to 80 and sunny later today and again tomorrow, and then back to rainy the rest of the week. Tomorrow I want to try to get in a bike ride and put up my new tent in my dad's back yard to see how easy/hard that is to do by myself. Am planning a two day camping trip to a local campground in a couple of weeks. Hopefully, the weather will be good for that. I have needed to get some summer clothes but it has been so cold and rainy that I haven't been motivated to do that yet.

I bought a small hibiscus plant the other day and, because of the cold temps, it hasn't wanted to blossom, so I brought it inside and now the buds are opening up. I wanted to get more plants but not worth it if the weather isn't going to cooperate. I gave up my plan to get a tomato plant because they need lots of sun and heat, both of which we have been missing, so don't want to waste my money on that.

Hope you all have a great day and stay dry and safe!

Good morning all,

It was a beautiful day yesterday and I'm glad I took advantage of it for some sightseeing. I drove a scenic loop tour in the Allegheny National Forest in NW PA. Stopped for some walks and scenic overlooks and historic sites. Today it is raining.

My National Forest cg does not have any Verizon signal, nor TV signal, so came to town for an internet fix. The cg is nice and has an electric hookup, but the timing is wrong. Better hope your site is not under a tree when the tent caterpillars hatch out...reminds me of the Twilight Zone...or something Alfred Hitchcock might have dreamt up. I need to find a place I can wash my RV or get it washed...yuck.

Tomorrow I will be in Syracuse for the Good Sam Rally.

Soos, glad you arrived home safely. I remember how it was when I was getting close...I would just hurry up to get there. Don't have that urge any more, lol.

Been sick for several days here - just want to be feeling 100% again. Abby (my co-worker) is also sick. Fred found someone who used to work on the boat to cover for us today. I'm thinking one more day off (I had off Sat and Sun anyway) and I hopefully will be ready to be back in the saddle tomorrow. I almost worked today, but am grateful for him finding someone so I didn't have to. I had called Abby last night to have her cover today - but I think she's worse than me today!

I still sometimes have that urge on some journeys to just get there. I did that a couple years ago on the way to my sisters. I had planned at least one more night, maybe more - then zipped there. And if it hadn't been for the snow that got me here, might have done that coming to Valdez. Unlike getting "home" sometimes the end is similar, though.

I think we're having less rain and more sun here in Valdez than most of the lower 48. I'm NOT complaining. What a difference from last year. And today is another bright sunny day - probably will get to upper 60's. Amazing for here.

Hope you are feeling better by now, Beth.

Not much going on here. The tomato bandit struck again. Since I only had one plant, looks like I may have to post a guard on it if I am to get one to pick. Really been wanting a good old BLT. May give up and make trip to farmers market.

One lucky bunny has escaped Nicky about 3 times now. You'd think it would learn not to come under the fence by now.

Enjoy your farmer's market. You do not want to know the cost here of a tomato!

Tomatoes probably don't cost as much where you are as they did above the Arctic Circle a few years ago. I had a friend whose daughter got a job up there. In late fall we picked all the green tomatoes in my friend's garden, carefully wrapped them and shipped to Alaska. daughter told her mother she only kept a few as others offered her as much as $8.00 each for the tomatoes.

My neighbor paid $11.49 for two tomatoes the other day ... so not much different, probably. But at the Arctic Circle, not much there of anything - so, yes, even higher prices.

Beth, I hope you're feeling better. If you want a care package sent, just say the word.

Aw, thank you, Nikki I just talked to Fred, my boss, and I'm taking tomorrow off also. I don't think I've missed work for an illness in over 20 years.
