Good Morning
So much for sleeping in this morning. My internal clock seems to have reset itself lately - getting me up way too early. There is at least one benefit when there is a pretty sunrise to watch. Time to absorb some coffee before I have to get moving along.
I've gotten hopelessly behind on welcoming our new members. Glad to have you one and all and I will get over to read all the introductions. I would encourage you to take advantage of our member map. You can get on the map by submitting a request and/or use it to see if other members are along the route as you travel. Great way to get to meet others.
Sue - Is gas really $4.35 up there or was that a typo? I've seen gas prices this weekend ranging from $3.11 to $3.45.
Have a safe day.

good morning ladies
am sure enjoying the weather here. Cooking a pot roast in the crock today, haven't had one in a long time, my
taste buds are looking forward to it.
Gas here runs around 3.73 on average, some place a couple pennies less and some a couple pennies more. Back
home it was around 3.43.
Not much else to tell ya. Ya'll have a great day.

Gas here in MY is the highest of any of the states I have been in so far---I paid 3.17 in Georgia, and it's 3.79 here!
I am sitting in my own yard this morning after skipping a stop in Cortland NY last night and the Yellow Lantern Campground there. It was only 10:30 am when I got there, and I knew home was only about another 4 to 5 hours away, so off we trekked! The rains were light and scattered throughout the trip, with mostly dry roads. I got back here at about 5:00 last evening, and was SO happy to land and hug on that HUGE (40 pounds now) grandson of mine! He is not fat at all----just all-around huge, like a 4-year-old, and yet he is only 18 months old! It was such a fun time having a pizza dinner together!
If the sun ever comes back out I need to get me a new lawn mower and tackle this hayfield which is supposed to be my lawn. And I have the pleasure of going to the DMV also to register my truck, and then off to get it inspected. Lots to do!
Happy Sunday to you all.

I had a wonderful time at the play last night. I seem to stumble across a performance of 'Charley's Aunt' every ten years or so, but this one played up the slapstick element in really clever ways. I laughed so hard! Besides, theatre outdoors is always something special.
Today will be quiet, I think. Next week (starting Wednesday) I'll be helping my sister tackle the flood damage at her cottage. She had 18 inches of water in the cottage this spring, ugh!
Ivy's seats are out! When the cottage is done, I can start working on the van remodel. For right now, I'm just enjoying all that empty space!

Good morning all! This morning is cool and lovely here. Tyler's internal alarm is set and I was up early so I rode my trike and took him for a run. He runs along side the trike. I don't get that much exercise on the trike, it's so easy to peddle! But Tyler gets his mom time. Today pretty much rest day for the work day yesterday with a crew of 4 men. We got the electric wire fished through the conduit and them the conduit buried in its little trench. This week one of our electrician friends will come over and connect it all together. After all the weed pulling and bush trimming and palm frond collecting we now have a huge burn pile. I'm still getting use to the whole idea of setting off a big fire on your backyard. I remember when I was a kid there was a cement incinerator in the very back of the back yard and my mom would burn yard waste in that thing. In Hawaii you called the county green waste and they'd pick it up. Only the sugar cane fields were allowed to burn
It is a whole different mind set when discussing the price of gas after living in Hawaii for so long. Right now the cheapest regular gas on Oahu is $4.21. Premium $4.39. Diesel $4.50. On Maui where my son lives its $4.59 for regular and $4.79 for premium. For a few year it was all over $5. Hawaii has refineries and they produce their own gas from imported oils from South America and Asia and the base price is similar to those here on the mainland. The consumer is just taxed to death at the pump. So, for me, when I hear gas prices under $4.00 I think it's a deal. One of the reasons I left Hawaii!! The very high cost of living. I'd have to work until I die to stay there. While here I can enjoy my retirement
Everyone have a great day and stay safe. Aloha y'all

Good Morning All, Gas here in SoCal was $3.88 the last time I filled up. The price of gas changes almost daily around here, and over in the desert I had to pay $4.20 a couple of weeks ago!!!
We are also TAXED mightily around here. Don't get me started?!?!?!?!
Off to do some work on the "cosy camper" today. Still O'cast and cool.
Have a great day everyone. lyn

Well, I already mentioned that we are around $3.29-$3.33 here. And yes, it does seem to change daily.
All this talk about itchy dogs and benedryl, I never even thought of doing that. I may consider it with Oscar. His licking and scratching is especially bad at night when we are trying to sleep. Both dogs are loving the Blue Buffalo Grain Free. Oscar has licked his bowl clean 4 meals in a row so far - very unusual. Jazzy isn't eating this morning but she also had been licking the bowl clean. I didn't have the opportunity to mix foods because we ended up running out of the old .
We had pretty strong thunderstorms move through yesterday afternoon - Red did you get any? I ended up losing power twice for over 30 minutes each time. Fortunately the weather cooled off with the storm and it didn't get too warm before I got power back.

Good morning all,
Up super early this morning - as in 2 AM. Got the kids off at 6:30 - heading west. First time in over 42 years that I am totally on my own! Woohoo!!!
Of course, today I need to straighten up the chaos in the house (left over from them sorting & packing their stuff), clean the minivan for carting folks around this week at work & cut the grass.
Someday, someday, I am going to be foot-loose & fancy-free - just not sure when.
Lyn, They are headed to LA & will stay with my son for a bit. My ex (Gaby's dad) is driving out with them & will go down to San Diego on their outings as Gaby (my DD) looks for a job & they look for an apt. I'll let you know if they plan on giving you a call. I get to follow out there as soon as she secures both.
Carolb, hope you don't give up your FB page- I post pics of the family there & would love to be your friend. I'll PM you my email address.
Well, better get moving - freedom awaits! HA!

I was amazed yesterday to see Michigan's gas prices almost equal to Alaska.
I'm off today so went back to bed at my usual getting up time and am just slowly getting up now. Going too be a lazy day, I can tell.

Yes, gas in Michigan is horrendous. They are trying to tell us it is a glitch in something and some problems in something else, and difficulties with a refinery---you know the drill. I don't think too many people believe them. Luckily I filled up at $3.84 and will almost make it out of the state before I have to put more gas in. Will be headed to Ohio on Tuesday and then to Indiana and Illinois. Hope prices are a bit lower there and farther west.

Benadryl works well for itch, what surprises me is how high a dose dogs need in comparison to people. Since you weren't able to switch food gradually if you have or can get a can of plain pumpkin give them about a tablespoon each meal, that will help avoid intestinal 'disruption'. You may notice the itch is gone after a few weeks of them being on the new food.
