Where is everyone? DH is sick with a cold or flu. Had scheduled carpet cleaning for today. Rescheduled for Tuesday :P. I will spend most of the day out in RED. Still learning how to operate systems, etc. Also want to stay away from germy DH ( he's also very grabby when sick!!). It is summer now. It'll get up into the 90s today!! So I'll do my outdoor chores this morning. Everyone have a great day and stay safe. Aloha y'all

Beautiful SUNNY morning! Nice to finally see the sun again :D :D

Our town had their high school graduation on Sunday this past weekend. That really messed up peoples plans for the long Memorial Day weekend. Lots of people around here like to go up north to get their cabins ready for summer on MD weekend.

Still tired from the two 10 hour days I put in earlier this week at work. Am heading to my dad's house to pick up his check book so we can get his bills paid. Then back home to pay my bills and get ready for work.

Ava, have a great trip to CO and drive safely!

Have a great day!

I had the best surprise yesterday! I stopped at the new Habitat for Humanity ReStore and found something I'd never seen before.

It turns out that there are several small privately-owned sawmills in Michigan, which was the first surprise -- I'd thought none of them survived. Four of them, one of which is local, have pooled resources with Habitat for the Urban Forestry Project (or something like that; I don't remember the exact name). They're taking the large trees cut by road workers and so on, and they're milling them into specialty lumber.

I can't say how happy this makes me. I always feel sad when I see healthy trees cut down, and when they're big, old trees and the beautiful wood is lost to a mulching machine, well . . . you can see why I was so excited to see this! :D

I have a feeling weekly visits may be on my schedule this summer, just to see what wood they have next.

I'm surprised he has the strength when he's sick, plus I thought as men got older, that behavior stopped...

Good noon! :D Oh, Red, that hubby with grabby hands   Guess you caught us all trying to beat the heat this morning?--to be 90 here too, so I was out early to get a bit of yard work done. Now I've retreated to the house & AC! Such a wimp I've become

Wow Ava! Road trip! I was thinking Maggie looked like she had some bisenji in her but couldn't remember the name of that dog when I met her. I've only know one other bisenji, they're not a common dog, at least to me. She'll be a good road companion...safe travels to you!

Missing the road myself, so I'm thinking of a 2-3 day trip next week--somewhere local, just to be on the road. Oh, did I do purging the past couple weeks--3 1/2 mo on the road with so little, I took a ton of stuff to the thrift store. Somehow resisted buying anything while I was there  Love that old stuff--Louise, really cool to discover an old saw mill that's still active.

Okay, hope you've all had a great morning, have a great afternoon too! As always, be safe! 8-)

I'm pretty much thinking Red meant "crabby"...that's how most men are when sick - crabby and childlike whiny.

Still morning where I am at. Setting here in RV shop. Just found out, awning is ok, just all the hardware messed up. Day is not looking to good,so hope the bad stuff holds off until I can get settled down in a CG, later in day. Wind was gusty on the way here, so had to drop speed down. I don't expect it will be anything but worse as day goes on.

Maggie and I, are fairly comfortable In waiting room. We're the only ones in here. There is a BIG dog behind counter around the corner and every once in awhile Maggie lets me know she knows dog is there .

Have my IPad and book so I'm set, but sure hoping not to late in day before they are done.

Hey, Red , if he's still "grabby" just enjoy :D Everybody have a great day,

CArol :)

think we all know how crabby and sick DH's can be

Well, I have a good size hole in fiberglass up where screw twisted out, they could only put one screw back in, so body shop somewhere coming up. Thinking it wants to mess all my plans and hope too's up. Oh well, talk about jello !!!!

Good Morning, ladies - well there is a little morning left as I start this....
Kitchen smells delightful today - big basket of fresh, local strawberries and they are soooo good. Really hate to freeze them but more than I'm likely to eat before they go bad.
Years ago I had a green thumb and good luck with a small garden. Decided to try one tomato plant and some herbs in pots this year. My first two tomatoes were almost ready to pick when I got home Tuesday. Remembered them late yesterday and went to pick for dinner - gone. Some critter carried both of them off. No scraps around so am thinking maybe a raccoon.
Ava - so glad your trip is about to get underway.
Carol - good to hear RV place is working on repairs. Hope you are out of there soon.
Everyone stay safe out there.

Thanks for the laugh with the grabby dh. And the resultant comments. I'm picturing you running from a sick man, who's drooling and sickly looking lol.

The "grabby" thing brought back some memories - when we were first married, George would come up behind me as I was doing dishes at the sink, and well, put both of his hands to use. Got real old after a few years. Luckily, the "grabby" part of him stopped after maybe 30 or 35 years. Whew. Luckily, he rarely got sick, and when he did, he wasn't crabby or whiny - just wanted to be left alone.

Kathleen, that scam money is long gone! He sent all cash so no way of tracking it or proving it. We were just able to stop the contact with them.

I thought men never get over being "grabby"?
