Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Good morning all! :D

Sorry to hear little Toby is still uncomfortable from his surgery....Kathleen, so sad about Shadow...Our little 4-leggers really tug at our heart strings. Did any of you read the poem Mitch posted for Ava? I'm in tears still as I write this

Well, just wanted to say "hi"; bro is here & he'll be awake soon--I think. Little Piper is frolicking with Ollie, bro's bassett hound, & the noise will surely rile him!

Y'all have a great day! 8-)

Good Morning Carolb and all who follow,

Sunshine to start the morning off here, but not to last. Clouds and more rain to come in late in the day. Another cold front cming through. This one is cold enough to trigger off sme rain/snow showers for tomorrow's Mother's Day here  Not unusual, but could do without it.

Carolb, I didn't see that poem that Mitch wrote. Been lookng for it, but where is it. Oh, maybe in Campfire. Didn't think to check there. Will do so after I finish this post. Sounds like you are enjoying brothers visit.

BJ, have you thought about getting a little liver, like calves or beef liver and cooking up a bit for your little Toby. My one collie had spay surgery done and we had left her with the vet for an extra day due to a wedding downstate. She refused to eat at the vet's also, despite their best attemps including going to the store and getting some hamburger for her. When we got home, I fixed some liver and boy you never saw a dog chomp down food like there was no tomorrow. That's all it took and she was back to eating again.

Will be taking my 13 year old Sharp Microwave to the electronics recycling day today. It finall died. I"m not in the hunt for a new one. So hard to choose with all the microwaves on the market. But am studying reviews of a lot of the makes and models. Some not so good either. Might go to Traverse City and check out Best Buy as they are supposed to have Sharp microwaves over there and I would love to try another one. Not really keen on going over on a Saturday, but i"ve been without this one for a week and I miss having it. Don't use it for much other than reheating stuff, especially warming up the dogs food. Cook TV dinners, bacon, potatoes, that kind of stuff mostly.

Lori, glad to see you managed to pop in. Sorry you have lousy internet service where you are, but guess some is better than none. Donna, glad things are rolling along for you on your trip to PA. Dell had quite an adventure coming home from Wickham the other day. Flat tire which she didn't know about till a Postal worker driving behind her spotted it. When she tried to call for assistance, found her phone dead. Postal worker called for assistance for her. While waiting, some other folks also stopped by a coule of times. Got it fixed and back on the road again. So was quite an adventure for her. Hope she posts about it. Soos is in love with her new truck, hope she posts pictures on it. Sounds like quite a rig.

I spotted another 22 foot MH for sale. This time a Fleetwood Tioga. Owner asking $12,900 for 202, but didn't say how many miles. Pictures are looking really good. But after having watched Judy and all her issues with her MH, do I dare trust Fleetwood.

Well, just chiming in for the morning. Have a great day all.

Good morning everybody. Rained all night here and is raining still. Doubt if we'll get a hike in today. I feel sorry for all the tenters in the cg. I am the only MH here. The cg is really more set up for tent camping. But I know they can't be enjoying this wet weather....especially with a bunch of kids to entertain. I guess they all brought Mom camping for Mother's Day. I wonder who's idea that was? Ha!

Looking at weather Bug on my iPad, I see there are frost warnings predicted overnight....what's up with that? I'm ready for some warm sunny weather...I know it's coming.

Hugs to all who need one today. Safe travels to those on the road. Hope your weather is better than mine.

Good morning and happy Mother's day to all moms out there in camper land.

I absolutely love this new truck, and it gets terrific mileage whether towing (about 15 mpg) or by itself (about 23 mpg) Now I need to order a camper top for the trip home, and I have decided to wait for it to get made and installed. that means I will not get out of here before June this year, I guess. It is getting way too hot for me down here now, as I hate to have to stay inside in air conditioning. I will try to tell the story, or the saga, of my getting this truck at this time, but I have no patience to do that now.

I really need to get caught up on all the posts I have missed for over a week now, too. Sigh----so little time.

Off I go to order my top. Hope you all have a good day.
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

good morning ladies
weather in the mid 90's this weekend but the week ahead looks like triple digits :( not ready for that.
Scheduled for defensive driving today and I really don't want to go but its mandatory. Our insurance
company comes in every year to put on this presentation. I was planning on "forgetting" and say "oh,
was that Saturday?" but then looked at my time for the week and decided I could suffer through 3 hours
of overtime.
My mothers surgery went fine and she's been moved into her own room to start rehab.
Grandson stopped by yesterday, he finally got a job and started this morning working at the car wash in
the oil change dept. He's very happy with that as he wants to become a mechanic later on, which will
require some schooling to get certified etc.
The girls are doing fine, Maggie finally, during the night, crawled into Gracies vacant spot in the bed at
my belly and Pixie seems a little more chipper. We are still adjusting.
Hope all have a great weekend and be safe. Hugs back to hugs received. Be safe.

Good Morning, Ladies !!! Raining here too, but it seems like it is only at the times, that Maggie and I, try to go out. Early this morning, out we went, no drops falling, we got soaked before we could get back to the house, and I just took a card out for my grandson to the mailbox and no drops, went on to RV to get a couple of things I left in there yesterday and started pouring. Rain today, but not supposed to be much , only rains when we go outside :o

Tomorrow is supposed to be beautiful, temp just right etc., be our mothers day gift in this area, :D No plans here for the day except same ole same ole, I guess. I keep telling myself go somewhere, but when I go I know I will not want to come back :(

Soos, I love your truck, did not know that you did get it, Red, my favorite color, so I really think its beautiful !!! :D Sounds like decent gas mileage too. Into June in Fl., yes have to agree with you, to long to be down there, but way weather is up here , would be a huge change for you.

Sue, the poem for Ava is in the pet section and make sure you have a box of Kleenex handy, makes you think of every furbaby that you have lost. But the thought of the poem, makes you happy too, for those who have never thought they might still be watching over us.

Well on with the day here, I set for a short time, then do a chore, then set, well you get the idea  ;) Don't want to mess up the routine, much to do.

Have a great day all, stay dry, warm, safe, which ever applies, need to add cool for Soos ;)

CArol :)

Ava, I love your attitude, 3 hrs overtime thought as to thinking, "messing up my Sat." Hope time goes by quickly for you, after all of these years, wouldn't think you really needed it. you'll be a great RV driver though :)

Good morning all. Carol, still having GTGs, even if it is family. :P Sue, I make sure the microwave has at least 1,000 watts and keep looking for that RV. ;) Actually Liz, I liked going camping for my Moms day. A great way to have the kids to yourself without all the outside interruptions and electronic entertainment. :P But in a tent with lots of rain?? That's another story. Love your new truck Soos...getting ready to head north like a red streak. Ava, glad your mom is recuperating. I know yours and your other fur baby's hearts aches. Big (((hugs))) to you. Carol, sounds like you have your own personal rain cloud. :(

It rained and thunder and lightening all day yesterday and through the night. Got about 3" rain. This morning is sunny and soggy. We are going shopping for our mutual mom and dad days gift. A rebuilt, lifted golf cart with a trailer with which to tow. We'll use it to get around the property because DH can not walk much anymore. We'll also use it for the circus, parades (as clowns) and some of our campgrounds. Like DisneyWorld in December.

Everyone have a great day and stay safe. Aloha y'all

Very windy and cold here this morning. It is MN's annual "fishing opener" today but half of the lakes in the state (northern MN) are still froze over so that will hurt the resorts and bait shops up there that count on that. Supposed to warm up by Monday and maybe even hit 90 on Tuesday!

Ava, glad you and your pups are getting adjusted a little bit. It is hard to do when a furbaby leaves a void in our lives and hearts.

My brothers and I had a meeting with my dad's doctor yesterday morning. My dad was actually very lucid while we were there, for awhile anyways. Then, like someone flipped a switch, he just changed back to his angry, confused mode. Since it was the first time (in two weeks) that my brothers have been there to see him, they hadn't seen that side of him yet, so they were very surprised. He will be getting a feeding tube put in on Monday. If all goes well with that, he will be moved to transitional care sometime next week. My brothers finally agree that he can no longer go home. Convincing my dad of that, won't be easy tho.

Off to work here. Have a bit of a cold hanging on but will take something for it before heading in so I don't sneeze all over my customers :o

Have a good day where ever you are and whatever you are doing!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Good morning everyone, Good looking truck Soos! Sue maybe the older Fleetwoods didn't have as many issues, maybe you can google reviews on them.
I finally got Toby to eat a little last night but...we were at the vets before 8:00AM this morning. He didn't get up when I did so later I went in and he lifted his head but when I touched him he was trembling, I sat him up and he just fell over. He finally got up but would take a few steps and go down. By the time we got ready to dash to the vet he was able to walk. They think he had a reaction to the pain medicine Tramadol. When I first gave it to him he became really agitated and sort of ran around then settled down and went to sleep. So we have a different med and a bandage to discourage licking plus an antibiotic. I am worn out from all the worry and drama! It is so hard to see him so distressed. I keep thinking he is wondering why we took him and let those people hurt him so bad.
Liz I hope the weather clears up, those poor tent campers!
Think I'll go to yoga I need it for sure today!

That is so sad about your little Toby. You must be beside yourself with worry.
I know I would be.
He's young and strong - he'll get better, with Mom's love, of course.

Poor Toby. I hope the new meds do the trick, and quickly! Hugs to you both.

Well the two families with all the kids packed up their 4 tents, 2 canopies and all their stuff and left...the kids whining all the while they packed, lol. It was a lot of work for a weather-spoiled outing. They were having a terrible time getting a fire going last night with all the wet wood. I gave them what I had, which was enough for them to cook their dinner at least. I guess they had enough of the rain.

Thistle and I got out for a short walk around the paved roads in the cg in between showers. I am running my genny for awhile now to charge up my batteries....not much sun for the solar panel to do the job.

BJ, something just doesn't sound right wih Toby....I hope it was just the medicine and changing it will do the trick. We hate to see our fur babies suffering.

Love the truck, Soos. I hope the heat doesn't get to you though, having to delay your trip north.

Just a quick Good Morning from another soggy spot

Love the truck, Soos. BJ - hope Toby is doing better.

Liz: hope your campground doesn't end up looking like this (Point Mallard, on TN River about 25 miles from Huntsville - campers say they did not get warned in time to get out).
