Good Morning out there,

Did everyone have a nice Easter yesterday, whether with family, friends or just furry companions? Did you chomp off the ears to the Chocolate bunny  My day was quiet but nice. Nothing special. Went to morning mass and then out for some breakfast afterward. Hit Home Depot to look at soe countertop samples and on home. Weather was mixed bad of damp and foggy in morning to a little blue sky and sun for awhile, to some clouds and then hazy sun and more clouds. All this was followed by some wet snow showers by day's end and now we are under a Winter Weather Advisory tlll a bit after noon. Possible Trace to maybe 3 inches of snow depending. Wet stuff. Typical spring weather pattern. Temporary as it is going to warm back up by mid week.

Nothing much doing here. Have a couple of appt. this mornng, one of which is Chiropractic to check over the ol' bod and see how things are progressing here. Feeling much better, but still have issues in the early morning after sleeping on the sore side at night.

Was up at the wee hour of 4 a.m. due to Tessa having a panic attack over a smoke alarm in my basement, chirping. So replaced battery. Need to replace the other one as well, but need to get another battery first. On the agenda today. She finally wound up in bed with me and snuggled up and went to sleep. First time she has slept with me in a few months. Silnce I got the new doggie beds for them late last fall, she has spurned my bed in favor of the new ones. It felt good having that nice furry body snuggled up against my back again.

Am off to check emails and will be getting ready to head on out before long, so just wanted to start some coffee for you all this morning. Have a wonderful day.

RABBITS!

Yup, I remembered to say that while still lying in bed this morning, before I spoke to Molly and Dinah! Let's hope it will mean another good month here in the sunshine.

Tessa's nice warm fur might be just the remedy for your back pain, Sue! Between the warmth and the love, who knows what miracles could happen. :)

I will probably hang around here for another day as my son is also home from work with a horrid toothache, waiting for a dentist appointment at 2:00. I wish he could have gotten in earlier, but at least he will get in today. His tooth broke off and the nerve is hanging right there. Friday I am supposed to be back here to get my back stitches removed, so I may call and have that appointment changed to the Orlando area. That way I can deal with my income taxes back there, buy the stuff needed to repair the back of my garage, try to find a helper to do the work, and all that good stuff. We may get some much-needed rain today, and am hoping we will.

Coffee is Hazlenut flavored decaffe, and tastes pretty good. Hope everyone has a good April Fool's Day!

After a rainy start yesterday turned out to be absolutely beautiful here, seventy and sun. Unfortunately my Easter dinner didn't turn out so well. DH had suggested earlier in the week that I make a reservation some where but no...silly me said I would cook. I took my chicken which was under 3# out of the freezer on Friday morning, yesterday afternoon that bird was still hard as a rock. After an hour in a pan of cold water I was able to get the 'spare parts 'out of the cavity so I put it in the oven with carrots, potatoes, onions and garlic. Decided to pour in a bit of wine and since it was white I didn't have any. Well, I spilled some of the wine in the bottom of the oven and wish I had spilled it all, it was either spoiled or the worst wine ever. All the veggies tasted terrible but at least the chicken was good and I had made some green beans. I am sooooo glad my brother had declined my dinner invitation I would have been so embarrassed. Next year we will be eating out!

Yoga and lunch at a friends today. Have to see her sleigh, it is a restored 100 year old small one for her pony to pull. We almost had enough snow a week ago but the ground was muddy underneath so couldn't try it out. I'm not going to hope for anymore snow for her until next winter!

Good Morning !!! The Sun is out !!!! Hey, thats big news here, except for last Thurs. which had it shining too, this is a biggy here, between the snow, rain and overcast days, this is a great day !!!! The whole week end here was drizzly, but I had a peaceful, nice time. Maggie, wasn't real happy, she doesn't much like rain falling on her when she wants to do a lot of sniffing and her business  Grass is still really wet this morning and getting high too, and my lawn mower is not working, my mother raised a responsible type person here, but you know sometimes I just get the urge to leave it all. This feeling comes over me more and more. My yard has grown in on me here, not sure with my back I can do it, and the guy I have called in the past seems to not want to return my calls, I may have to call his mother to see whats up. He's always been so good to help, he works for everyone in this area, so maybe he's too busy. Or maybe he has seen my yard , I have not done much outside since spring of 2010, before my surgery, and I had hired help to really clear it and now its all grown over again, if you know what kudzu is, you know what I am fighting here, a never ending battle and I want to give up.

Soos, I shuddered reading about your day last week, sure hope you don't have anymore of those. I am so glad you were all checked out though, and hope you will be fine from now on. Good luck on getting someone to do repairs you need done there, ask someone in that area for a reliable person to call on, some one they would recommend. A lot of shyters around there !!!

Wishing you all a really good week, hopefully Spring is springing somewhere :D Those on the road, stay safe, stop and smell the roses, and most of all enjoy the ride !! Those of us at home need to plan at least a day trip to keep the spirits up, Right ??????
Take care all,
CArol :)
BJ, glad you won't be wishing for more snow for your friends sled, I might have to make a visit your way and put a stop to such wishing  :P  and you know I might not be the only one

I remembered Rabbits this morning.

Had a very quiet Easter. We had a lot of thunder, lightning and hail yesterday. My son had invited me to go with their family to Monterey but I decided I did not want to drive in all the rain that was predicted. Apparently it was beautiful down there. I have pictures of them playing on the beach and in the water. But across the Sacramento Valley there was really a lot of storming. Glad I didn't go.

Good Morning from sunny cold Normal... yesterday was great with family there were 11 of us... believe it or not I did not even take a bite of sweets or candy, no rolls; just ham potatoes coleslaw carrots and water... they gave me some to take home also... wow it is so nice to have others take over what I used to do...

Becky let me take a huge stew pot so I can make chicken and drop dumplings for the family on Sat... they are all working so hard on the house...

It sounds like everyone had a good time with their own version of dinner... oh Soos I never remember to say rabbits...

Hope everyone enjoys their day

Good Morning from Laughlin, Nevada,

I said Rabbits at midnight - hope that counts!!

I sure forgot I was the middle of nowhere yesterday there was so much traffic going toward Needles. That changed once I left Needles, but then it was really rough road for awhile. Parked across the street from the Golden Nugget for the night - extremely quiet!! Spent a couple hours (and not much money) in the casino.

Will make a stop at WalMart and then head for Valley of Fire to meet Sharon and KarenS. Wouldn't mind exploring around here a bit sometime.

Have a good day all!

Good Morning

I actually remembered to say rabbits this morning.

We finally have some sun this morning but still way too cold for this time of year. One positive aspect of the long cold, wet spring is that the winter rye grass I planted out back just before I left for FL really loves it. I am enjoying the bright green knowing that when it warms up, it will die so no mowing required.

I've finally made it thru 2+ months of mail, got taxes to CPA, and have been dealing with unexpected other stuff - like sprinkler system leak I didn't know about until receiving a bill for more than 3000 gal water use, a dead squirrel in empty house (don't know how he got in yet), blown circuits, etc - just some of the things associated with having S&B, I guess. Still feel like I'm drowning in paper as filing not complete yet.

Got to catch up a bit on here ten get back to work.

Have a good day.
