HAPPY EASTER!

HAPPY EASTER everyone,

Not much planned for my Easter Sunday here. Will be heading for mass in awhile and after that back home. Our weather is not going to be overly fantastic today, rain showers have already moved through and snow showers are supposedto be coming later this afternoon. So scratched my thoughts of going north for a nice little Sunday ride to Mackinaw City and maybe stopping someplace for some Easter dinner. Have a ham, some candied sweet potatoes, salad and cottage cheese on my dinner menu here instead. And will spend the day just relaxing, doing a lilllte painting on my little lawn ornaments as well.

At least this Easter we can take a break away from our pretty much normal Easter outfits of boots, warm jackets, gloves and fuzy hats, for something a bit more springish. Or as springish as one wants to get at 40 degrees this mornng, with rising temps later.

Was having a good time at Lowes yesterday, spending money in my mind. So far I have replaced my countertops in my kitchen, my patio door as well, new service doors for my garage, a set of drive through fence gates by my garage, all the exterior lighting on my garage, etc. Nice to spend imaginary money isn't it. In reali life that's a whole different ballgame. I do though have plans to replace my kitchen countertops, probably with laminate again as the ones I have here now have done great for the past 16 years and I found a pattern that i just love yesterday. I also am going to get those fence gates installed so I can expand my fencing system alongside my garage and get my gates on more solid ground. The one gate i have in now, sits in a low spot and every year it manages to get frozen in when we have thaw/freeze cycles during the winter despite my raising it up more. And it's made of wood and starting to show its age. With new chain link gates, I will also be able to drive into my backyard so i need to and it will give the dogs the ability to got toward the front yard and watch out that way for a change. I will also replace all the exterior lights on my house as the current ones are showing their age as well, but that's not an overly expensive thing there. After 16 years in this house, it's time for a few upgrades, especially now that i have the time to tend to them.

But I want to take this time on this special day to wish all of you a Very Happy and Blessed Easter, wherever you are. Enjoy the day, rejoice in His rising from the dead and giving new life to all of us. May you have a wonderful day all.

Happy Easter everyone. Hope it is a hoppy day for all. I depart soon to take my daughter to the airport for her flt back to WA. It is so hard to say good bye and know that I won't see her for at least a year. I will pray everyday that N. Korea does not attack and she will be safe in So Korea. We had a great day yesterday. Went down to Galveston and spent time with the penguin experience at the Moody Gardens Aquarium on Galveston Island. Then we stuffed ourselves with seafood at Bubba Gumps and went for a long walk on the beach. It was sunny and warm without being hot. A perfect day

When I get back from taking DD to the airport I need to put together a brunch for DH's son, wife and GS. They are bringing GS over to hunt for eggs at our place, have brunch then take kid home for nap before going to her parent's place. I have a bunch of ruby duckies I will hide and a big stuffed animal lamb that you lay upon for GS.

Hope everyone has a great Easter Sunday. Aloha y'all

Happy Easter, everyone!
Sue, It sounds like you've got a lovely day planned - hope the weather stays nice for your drive & outing.
Red, What a great pic of you & your DD. :D Looks like you had a perfect day with her. Hope you can immerse yourself in today's activities to keep the tears at bay. ;) We'll all be watching the N/S Korea situation & be praying for her safety.
Ava, What a doll little miss Maggie is! :o She is going to be a great addition to your family! :D
Barbie, Chelsea is darling! So neat seeing all these new furbabies! Bet she is a hoot to watch!

Went to Easter vigil services last night - loved that it was bilingual. Ran into my old friend from Argentina at HyVee afterwards - said she wants to practice her English more because someone told her she sounds like she just arrived here... I've known her since her first days in the states over 43 years ago! We used to go shopping with an English/Spanish dictionary - ah, the good old days!  Guess we'll be getting together so she can practice more... :D

Got nearly everything in for the Easter meal - thanks to Beth for posting the shrimp recipe! Kids will be coming over later...

Nearly forgot my big news! Got an iPad yesterday! Bestbuy was closing them out with 30% off - got a 3rd gen with Verizon service. Will have some tutoring from the kids when they come.

Well, I'd better get moving...
Hope you all enjoy this day!

Happy Easter!

Today is the day I hit the road again on my own! Woohoo, I can make my own decisions!

Lots of fun ahead as I meet Sharon and KarenS at Valley of Fire SP in Nevada tomorrow for a few days. Then off to an ORS GTG at Death Valley. More sightseeing with Sharon and Karen. 10 days in Maui. A busy 6 weeks!

I have a little of the trip anxiety going on this morning, but I will only travel a few hours today for overnight casino parking in Laughlin - where I have never been. I have not gotten everything accomplished as far as cleaning, etc. but oh well.

Red, great photo and yes, we will all be watching the news!!

Have a wonderful day and safe travels

Good Morning to All and Happy Easter. We are in Verde Valley AZ just a ways south east of Sedona. Love this area except the dry desert air is playing havoc with our noses and Bill's cold is still bothering him. Right now I'm in shorts and t-shirt and he is bundled up in a fleece throw, his beanie and has the little heater blasting on him.
He keeps his side of the electric blanket on all night - sure keeps me on my side of the bed. Thank goodness for dual controls.
It is beautiful here - yesterday we took a short ride to Visitor Center to collect info and then just rode around admiring scenery. Took some teaser pictures that I'll put on my blog when the MiFi decides to work better. Very very slow this a.m. Maybe it's cold too.
We are slowly making our way home to Indiana - still cold there.
If your driving stay safe, if you're not stay warm and enjoy the day.
