Good morning, again, from rainy coastal SC....thank goodness this wet stuff should be out of here sometime this afternoon....It's forecast to be sunny for Irmi & Steve's arrival tomorrow... ;) Can't wait to see them...and Teddy, too, says Spinner.... :)

Love reading about the new members and their plans for the RVing life style....you all have come to the right place to find answers to your questions, and for more opinions and advise that you didn't know possible....we love "helping"..... ;)

I am again, enjoying going down memory lane with the photos of our "youthful pasts"....great opportunity in getting to know each other more...

Okay, got some blueberries and strawberries here with vanilla yogurt and granola, along with coffee and tea....help yourselves...

Have a great day, all....

Good morning Lori. Sounds like you are getting the rain we had here yesterday. We extended another day yesterday to let the wet stuff get out of here. Today is supposed to be sunny and the winds calm, so we will be heading out working our way to OK again. We are only going to Lafayette today so not a long drive. We should be in OK by Friday. I am so glad. I am ready to get there and get settled in for the summer. I want to dig my machines out of their bins to do some sewing and embroidery work. I am beginning to really have withdrawals. I got a Quilt in the Hoop book for my SIL for Christmas. I want to get myself a copy too, then get some quilting done using my embroidery machine.

Everyone have a great day today and if you are traveling, stay safe.

Good Morning Lori, Dawn and everyone who follows,

Snow has returned here. Nothing big, less than a half inch out there. Nothing much expected either. Depdns on the winds etc. But I'm not begrudging it although I would much prefer it to stay mild and sunny and see a greadual meltdown, there is so much ice out there, that at least the snow will cover it over for now.

Nothing much on the agenda here for today. Might clean out the fridge, run the vac, that usual house stuff. Might work on a couple of wood craft signs that I am trying to finish up so I can put that stuff away for now. Have some summer projects to work on, enough winter.

So just wanted to chime in and say hi. Hope everybody has a great day out there. Dawn, I know you are looking forward to heading to OK, but please keep and eye on the sky too as it's getting to be a nasty time of year out in that neck of the woods.

Good morning all. I too am enjoying the threads with pictures of our members from "days gone by". This forum has the best women; strong, smart, adventurous and beautiful :P My adventure settling into RED continues. One of the frustrating issues we had on our trip in January was wifi. The RV park would have wifi, but the signal was not strong enough to be able to do anything. So I got a booster antenna!! Installed the software and went out to RED (parked in the driveway) and was able to FaceTalk with Dawn :P Before the antenna I was unable to pickup the wifi signal from outside. When the antenna scanned for signal it found 10!! All were password protected, but I would be able to use them as they were all strong signals. In the house we only pick up ours and one of the neighbors. It seems to work well, but will have to give it the road test before I can give my stamp of approval.

Made a huge pot of chili yesterday. Had some for dinner and froze the rest. I like to have pre-prepared food when traveling. The kind I just have to microwave or stick in the oven or crockpot. So I am cooking and freezing meals for our future trip. Gonna make myself a chili-cheese omelet for breakfast. Then off to the post office, grocery, etc.

Dawn and everyone else that are on the road today stay safe. Y'all have a great day. Aloha y"all.

Good morning all! :D :D

Have missed y'all--crazy bz days for me, bt awake at 3 a.m. & have been catching-p for the past cople hrs! So good to hear what y'all are doing....Anita & Sharon, bet yew thot I've been lost & wandering the desert or owt collecting more stray dogs

Still in SoCA, had whirlwind 4-5 days, fitting in HS re-yewn-yin (a blast), visits with friends/ant & now back at sis's. All the r-sh was to get back to Phx for a commitment this Sat, bt have been released from that! A big relief to know I can slow down a bit & stay here til the 21st, with time to gtg with Sharon on my retern--for longer than a few hrs!!! :P Anita, Sheila, Kerry? Will yew still be arownd Q????

HarBor is doing fine since having his new water pomp installed--well, except a few minor things. Crank on Fantastic Fan (threads worn owt, can't open it) & genny still won't kick in (terns over, bt won't stay on), so will be locating a shop that can help. Bt have all I need to be boondocking in front of sis's howse. Dogs have fenced yard to play in, bt sis doesn't want them in the howse. No problem, we love owr home-on-wheels!

Officially spring in 8-9 days! Enjoying great weather here, bt nights still cool. Really hope the rest of yew get some warmer & dryer weather soon! Travelers, wishing good weather for yew too!

Y'all have a great day! :P

good morning ladies
hallaluja, the grandson and scary dog have gone back home :D turns out his electricity was shut off. Now
the girls can settle down and the diarrhea will stop, and they won't have to stay cooped up in my room.
Drove out to my rv yesterday, will like the tile when its done, and my choice for the flooring will look
great. Stopped and visited retired friends from the bus yard, then stopped at an rv dealer to check out
some rigs. Pretty much know what I want and know now that the right equipment comes in the right
rig. There was one there I would have bought in a heart beat if the $$ was in my bank account
The agenda for today...wash up the winter bedding and get it packed away, pull out the lighter stuff
for summer as its beginning to get quite comfortable in temps here.
Daughter sent me a video on my cell phone, Jack is trying to crawl :D
Coffee is tasty and its time for a refill, ya'll have a great day and be safe.

Raining big time here in Maryland this morning too. Ran out to the post office to mail my tax info to the accountants so they can figure it all out. At this point in my life, it is beyond me. If it were easier, I'd save my money and do it myself. I used to do tax prep work, but haven't kept up with it.

I'm excited and disappointed all at the same time. Made a reservation for a local state park over spring break...5 days of camping. And a dear friend of mine and her hubby Will be there too. Told gd last night and her response...I don't want to go camping. :( Yep, she is at that age! But it looks like she will have to come with me for a couple of days at least. Will see if we can arrange for her to stay with her mom or my ex for the rest of the time, as she certainly isn't old enough to leave home alone. But I'm still excited as it will be the maiden voyage of the bagel (short for Winnebago)! I think that will be her name...unless something else comes to me. And then I need to also decide if I will attempt to bring both cats along or arrange to leave them home. Decisions, decisions. Ah, but life is good!

GOOD MORNING ALL!

It's actually raining here in Orlando this morning----a very welcome rain. It has rained only one other day since I have been down here (November) and things are getting really crispy. It's a perfect excuse for me to get online with Turbo Tax and get my job done today. I know I am going to owe, per usual, but I have to see just how much.

Dinah doesn't like having to be inside, but she hates getting rained on even more! She usually spends the mornings out in the back yard tethered to the palm tree, watching for squirrels and turkeys and whatever might come by. Molly is ok with whatever!

Oh dear, Paulette! Grandma just won't cut it any ore for a teenager wanting to try out her own wings, eh? Sigh----makes me realize how important it is for me to get back home and take Orion camping while he has no choice in the matter!

Carolb, I can't believe you are already in CA! Did you feel that earthquake yesterday that I read about on the news? I swear it seems like yesterday that you were here in FL!

Ava, happy you will have your own space back again! As I am sure your girls will be ecstatic, too!

Lori, your breakfast is making me drool, and it so happens I have just those ingredients in my refrigerator which I am now going to get out and fix for me! Thanks for the suggestion!

Here's hoping everyone has a wonderful Tuesday, wet or not.
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Safe in Florida at my sister's place. Adi had a very bad time with the journey, so she's in the garage being repaired. I'm pretty cross about that -- trying to make the dealer who sold her to me chip in on the costs. Grrrrr.

On the happy side, Sister #1 is on spring break. We are having such fun together!

The William is fascinated with the pelicans on the lake. He's never seen a pelican before. :D

Actually Carolb, I was afraid some ole high school boyfriend had whisked you off and you were never to be heard from again ! Plans are changing daily here but I know I have a commitment on the 21st, may go to Phoenix for ballgame on 23rd. We'll just keep in touch.

Yesterday was a beautiful day for a ride. Hassayampa means upside down river - river flows below and above ground. There was more water this time and just fun. Then the bad dream started. One of the couples with us has stayed here but are staying in Wickenburg now. They knew of another trail so we could see something different - so much for returning through the river area. The trail was a challenge with tight spots and boulders to climb. Probably would have considered it fun, but the purpose of this trip was to take some elderly friends on a ride they would be comfortable with. This was NOT it!! I have no idea how the lead couple could have thought this was a good trail to take because they have been on it. Everybody survived.

After our long ride back to Salome, L and I went out to dinner at the little nearby restaurant. Had their pizza for the first time which was very good, but it took forever to be served. It was well after 7 by the time we got home - I was too tired to be tired!

Today is 'pack up' day as tomorrow I'm off for a couple days of baseball!! Will dry camp on my way back here so I can meet up with the gang for a ride Friday morning.

Have a good day all!!
