JaneFromMaryland here--- leaving COLD Estero (FL) for 75 miles north to Highlands Hammock State Park near Sebring (Fl). Two nights there and then into Mt. Dora for a couple weeks max. Wet and cold here and READY for warmer temps. Able to walk or bike to shopping center nearby and took in an antique car show here at Korshean State Historical Site. Will give the 22' Class C a good cleaning this morning, take a shower, and hit the road. :P

Good morning, Jane, Donna and all those who follow... :D

Laundry day for me....but the sun is shining and we're to be in the low 60s with NO wind...Yipee!!! :D

So far, we really like this campground/rv park.....and yes, we're pretty centrally located between Hilton Head, Beaufort, and Bluffton to the north/northeast with Savannah to the south...lots to see and do.....but we are doing our touring like we did on our western adventure by just visiting 1 place per week....Irmi & the Asst. Sultan are due in next week, so we'll be 4 exploring new places for a couple of weeks.... ;) Can't wait.... :D

The Sultan is planning our trip north for April....he's finding some new and interesting places and campground along the way....Remember, he's retired Army, and the obsession for a planned "training schedule" keeps him happy and organized....

Okay, better get going....coffee & toaster waffles ready for all...

Take care and have a great day, all...

Good morning everyone.

Donna and Jane, safe travels to you both today.

Lori, I cannot wait to hear where the Sultan decides you two are going.

Paul and I are settled in for a week in Slidell, LA. Going to explore New Orleans. I was here once when I was about 20 for Mardi Gras. Did not see much of New Orleans then. Was just here to party and enjoy the parades. I didn't care about exploring the city then. Our youngest brother and his wife are coming down this weekend to stay with us and see New Orleans. I know it is going to be a whole lot of fun spending time with them.

Fixing my last cup of coffee and then will be getting my chores done for the day so we can go explore.

Hope everyone has a great day and if you are traveling, stay safe.

GOOD MORNING ALL!!

Nice to see so many up and running already today. Orlando temps dipped to 30 degrees last night, so says the weather this morning. I'm glad I decided to bring my houseplants in from the screen room. The lawn mower men have already been here, mowing nothing but fallen leaves and dried grass and dirt----makes me wonder who sets the schedule, and I am guessing they are not smart enough to change it even when there is no grass to mow----or else they aren't allowed to change it for some obscure reason.

So far the wind is much calmer than it's been for the past several days, and I'm hoping it stays that way.

The North American Bear Center has determined that Lily has one of each sex cubs this year, so now I guess they will prepare to name them. Their eyes are fully open now, and they are at such a cute stage! I wish them a long and happy life. I love seeing Lily mother them with the built-in ability that nature provides for her and all mama bears. I try to not get so wrapped up in their lives as I did with her first cub, Hope, as Hope's demise made me feel so sad for a long time.

Nothing on my schedule for today other than perhaps mailing the last of Kathy's mail to the address she left for me to forward it all. I can ride my bike to that mailing place and get some much-needed exercise for myself. Time now to feed my poochies and get me another cup of coffee. Happy Monday to all.

Good morning all. Not much going on here. Warmed up though :-). The cold front moved east. It's 55 now and will get up to 79 today. Yahoo!! I plan to work outside as much as possible and gather Vitamin D. :P Just errands, Tyler to the groomer (my neck hurts too much to do it myself these days), pick up Tyler's meds, grocery shop, get gas, continue to sort and store stuff in RED........tired already and I haven't left yet.

Lori mentioned waffles and now I want waffles. Don't have a waffle maker, so gonna go to iHop and have a waffle. Next time I'm at Wally World I'll get a waffle maker. I would love to go over to New Orleans and And gtg with Dawn and LA sisters. It is a great town to explore. So much culture and history and food. Did I mention the food?? I have to finish getting RED ready so we can hit the road. She is still sitting in the same place they parked her when she was delivered  But, now that it is warmer I think DH and I will drive her over to Buckees and fill her up and practice driving.

Everyone have a great day. Stay warm and stay safe. Aloha y'all
P.s. I'm now @ iHop having waffles. Tomorrow EllenW will be in town and will have a mini gtg :P

Good Morning,

A beautiful day after a day of clouds and a night of wind! Yes, I am a late sleeper :) Carolb can tell when I'm up because the genny gets fired for coffee!!

DD had another bout of guilt yesterday about the dog, but said she has her head on straight. She is a nanny and can 'work' at home a couple days so things will be fine.

This is not a food GTG, and we are too busy talking to eat so I've lost a couple pounds!! That's okay except I need to keep my blood sugar in check.

Carolb will be off to the mechanic early tomorrow. LeRoy and some friends are bringing ATVs for a desert ride. I'm still waiting for word my thermostat has arrived at the repair place just down the road. I won't go back to Salome until it has been installed.

Safe travels, happy GTGs to all!
