Good morning everyone. It is a beautiful morning. Blue skies, white clouds, but a crispy 45. Will get into the high 60s though. We are leaving shortly to take the PullRite SuperGlide 5th well hitch down to a friend. He has a 5er and popped the window out of his truck the first day he had the 5er. So he is buying our hitch  The cupboards here at the house are bare. With all the RV stuff I just haven't had time to go to the store  we'll grab breakfast and coffee "from a window" on our way down. When we get back, I plan to open the slides on RED and start moving stuff in and get settled and learn how to operate some of the systems. This is gonna be fun :P Everyone have a great day and stay safe. Aloha y'all

Good Morning from the cloudy 45th,

Red, sounds like you are going to have a fun day getting things in order in RED. How exciting is that :) That's the one thing I miss abut not having a rig right now, getting stuff back inside after the long winter. Course in my case, it would be a while before I do that anyway. There's a lot of "white stuff" out here right now.

JoanE, hope you didn't get any damage from the twister that hit Tampa yesterday. Plese check in and let us know.

I had a painful day yesteray after being adjusted on Monday. Usually that doesn't happen, but it did this time. Started getting a bit better late yesterday and I made myself work through it last night so I could sleep. I took a Tylenol before bed and although I was uncomfortable after trying the bed, the chair and back to bed, I finally fell asleep. Could feel sme pain in my dreams it felt like and I just told myself to shove it and go to sleep. Slept about 6 hours. Would like to take a little nap right now, but need to get ready to head for my Chiropractor appt. and also get my Income Taxes done  Am anxious to see how that's going to play out this year. Refund or owe :| Also neeed to get dog licenses today too.

Reading through yesterday's coffee, looks like everybody's busy busy busy. Hope those of you who are getting ready to move to new locations can get out of the rain for awhile, long enough to make your move. This is a dangerous storm system moving across the country right now. Up here where I am, we are kind of on the edge of the wholel thing and may see a tract to 2 inches of snow they say. It's very fin and very wet and if we do get some and depending on how much, I probably wont even bother with it.

Time to be off and get my day started here. Have a wonderful day all. Keep safe, dry and have fun with the new rigs, those of you who have them.

Made it through a very windy Tuesday and didn't end up in Oz after all. Spent most of the day inside working on cleaning and sorting. I have a bad habit of just throwing things in the upper bunk behind the curtain (out of sight out of mind). Good day to stay in and clean and sort. Today is laundry day and then I plan to take down the valances and blinds in the kitchen. Sunshine is promised but the cooler temps are moving in. Glad to know that the winds will NOT be here with the cooler temps. Safe day to everyone. And Red, looks like you will be having lots of fun.

Sarah and I are getting ready to move on today after slowly getting ready this morning and getting to meet Irmi's sister. Maybe Irmi wants her sister to know that those people she has met on THAT online forum aren't axe murderers.....you know like Sheila's daughter Merry. :) Sarah is heading north to find a friendly driveway near Gainesville and I am heading towards Crystal Springs and some more adventures. I did find out that I have some seasonal employment to go back to this spring. I start on March 21. :? There is a "return to Ohio" date, now. Oh, well, work means more gas money!

Hope everyone has a good day out there in travel and dreaming of future adventures land. Remember to find something to enjoy today, it is all we have in the present, really....

Looks like a beautiful day here in SoCal heading into a gorgeous weekend. Every once in a while I'm reminded why I come back here every winter....other than my family, that is! :D

Busy day yesterday, had to have Hope and the car down in Temecula to address the dead battery on car issue I had last year. After much searching and butt scratching finally found the problem. Seems Monaco had screwed up the hot wire going to the plug on the back of the coach. When I had it down there last year to set it up so I wouldn't have to dis-connect the battery on the car every time I towed, they checked for a hot wire on the plug on the coach..yup, had one. But, and this was the problem, they checked it with the engine off. Now, you would think if the wire is hot with the engine off, it's gonna be hot with the engine on. Nope, not the case, and I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't been standing there and seen it for myself. Turn key on, hot wire goes away. So the battery on the car wasn't getting a charge like it should have been. I told them rather than try and find out why or where, just run a new wire. The coach and chassis batteries are at the back of the coach and easy for them to get to. Hopefully this solves the dead battery problem, but there's no way to know for sure until I get on the road.

Anyway, got Hope and the car back home, then took off for Hemet. I had a package to pick up at Wallyworld and since I still had a free birthday burger at Red Robin, stopped in and had lunch there. Yum! Great burger and big enough that I had half of it to take home for dinner.

Got an email from the Boy Chick this morning, he's still stuck in PA. I talked to him last nite, he was supposed to fly out in the afternoon, but Chicago, where he had to change planes, was closed so there he sat. The Holiday Inn was across the street from the airport and he was chowing down on a steak when I talked to him, so he had it way better than the folks in Chicago. He said his 4PM flight out today had been canceled, so I don't know when he's gonna be able to get back home to Arkansas.

Tina, don't you think March 21 is a little early to be going back to Ohio? Might still be getting bad weather there! You should probably stay south for a little longer! :D

Looks like the rest of the crew here is plugging along just fine and I'm sure glad to hear it! I've got a ton of stuff to do, I talked to Karen S yesterday and she's gonna be leaving Tx on March 23rd to make her way out here and I don't want her to think I'm a total slob... Have a good day, all!

Good Morning to All - the sun is shinning but it will be another cool for here and windy day today. In a lttle bit we will grab Tioga George and walk, yes walk, acrosss the street to the restaurant on the beach. Willie, the Jeep is having what is turning out to be major repairs - there were broken parts in the transmission that were causing the intermitent not shifting problems. And some of the parts are being express shipped from the states and he should be put back together by Thursday or Friday or......
We are scheduled to leave on Tuesday so hope all is okay by then.
We took, Bill and I a walk on the beach yesterday and might have to take a taxi into town to grocery store - though several of our neighbors have offered to take us if we need to go. We'll see. I found a good web site with knitting instructions and think I am getting the hang of it - anyway it looks better - still fell uncomfortable holding the needles. I can now cast on, knit and purl. Still like beading better.
Hope the weather in the south is clearing up and the cold in the north - wish we could share some of our sunshine with you. Red don't work too hard today - but I know you will.

Red - the winds are supposed to pick up this afternoon, so get your work done early in case you want to bring the slides back in. I don't think they are going to be as bad as Monday night, but we have another little front moving through today.

Today would have been my baby sister's 47th birthday. I miss her as much as I did 9 years ago. I so want to call and wish her a happy birthday and hear about her chocolate chip cookies that she probably would have made with Audrey's help. Happy Birthday, Mary.

Soos - I PM'ed you the other day.

A beautiful day and warming up! Some just left at 8:30 for a ride on the Hassyampa River near Wickenburg, but we are going to wait for warmer temps to do that!

After the long day yesterday, on the way home L started making plans for today to include a RZR ride. With the warmer weather coming for RZR riding, I begged for one more day to do more laundry and to clean out and organize the truck. - still carrying around Alaska dirt! Definitely will plan to ride tomorrow since I will be leaving Friday for a few days - which I am very excited about with Carolb coming.

wishing you all a good day and safe travels to those on the road

March 21 is too early but.....I need to put a little cash back into the budget to replace what I have spent on gas, campgrounds and "toys"....I have been to visit Camping World one too many times. And I am still waiting to hear Sandy's review of the new kayak. I keep thinking it could replace the purpose of both of the ones I am carrying right now..... :) I just don't want to feel too guilty when the moths fly by me head.

GOOD MORNING TO ALL!

Well, I have been busy this morning...discovered an Auto Zone right around the corner from here, bought two new deep cycle batteries, same model as have been so faithful to me for about 3 years now, installed them both, checked my battery guage indicator, and PRESTO! Full up power again. I get such a smug feeling when I have done something electrical on my own! However, I will still not know if I need the new converter yet, or not, until I use the 12 volt power enough to see if it remains on high and full. The converter is due to arrive here either today or tomorrow, and, if I find this one is still working as it should, I will return the one from Amazon.

Arrived here at the trailer yesterday afternoon after the tornado watch was over, had dinner with the kids and Melissa's parents last night, and did my battery exchange thing this morning.

Sue, I am now really concerned about your chiropractor's "adjusting" and would like to suggest you go to a legitimate osteopathic doc for some more analysis and another diagnosis. Surely your health plan would allow that after all the pain you have been through.

Sandersmom, I just read your PM and will try find all that info out, if I can find my original sales slip for my truck----other than that, I have no clue what I have on it! I also plan to take it to the local Ford dealer here in St. Cloud as they are right around the corner, and get an estimate of what it may be worth at this point, on a trade-in or exchange for a van camper, or something. I will get back to you when I learn what I have!

Beautiful warm and sunny day again here at the trailer today. 73 degrees, gentle breeze off the pond----just perfect. Time to throw the frisbee for the pups.

Hope you all are finding good weather today.

good morning ladies
weird schedule again today, early release from school then scoot over to my doctor apt. The last two days consisted of dual take in for the high schools,
cause of AIMS testing so this has been a really strange schedule the whole week. One more day of early release, tomorrow, and scoot over to meet
Carolb for dinner. Looking forward to it. :D
Ok, gotta check a few more posts and think about getting a snack and then I'm off for the take home crowd. Ya'll have a great day and be safe. Will
check in later.

Maggie, you reminded me that today would have been my brother's 66th birthday. He passed away 12 years ago. Not many days go by that I don't think about him. If any one could come back to haunt someone it would have been him. He would have though that was really funny. We lived in Shreveport when I was in high school. My brother talked mother into bringing him to the telelphone company office. He filled the trunk with old wires and telephone parts from their trash bin. He made a receiver that he could tap a telephone line from outside and would listen in on my conversations. There were times I would have killed him with a happy heart. Our house phone was at the bottom of the stairs and we had to sit on the wood stairs to talk on the phone. My dad traveled some and when he was gone my brother would put a 50 foot cord on the phone and we could take it all over the house. When dad was due back he would put the short cord back on. Mother would let us do just about anything.

The outside thermometer says it's 73 but it doesn't feel that warm. The weather report says this weekend might be the coldest weather we have had this winter. Hope it doesn't freeze.

Martha

Hi everyone!

What a sad day here at the campground. Tina & Sarah have both pulled out and left and my sister, who visited for a couple hours, has also left. Dawn & Paul are leaving tomorrow for the next leg of their trip. It's so quiet here, I don't know what to do. But the journeys & GTG's for all of us will continue and lots of memories to be made. I'm so happy to be a part of this lifestyle and to have made so many wonderful friends.
