Yep, it's raining here again today....Told The Sultan to get the chain saw out and start cutting trees cause if we get more rain, we'll need an Ark to float out of here on Friday......  No, just kidding, but sure am getting tired of all the rain...

See that most here are on the road again, traveling to their next adventure....We're moving up I-95 Friday to try out another CG....need a change of location and we found this new CG, for a reasonable price last spring, with full-hookups, so we'll go try it for awhile.....lots to do in the area...it near Hilton Head, Beaufort, etc....

Need to call and make the VA Dr. appts. this week, too....for late April or early May...

Okay, got the coffee going, and some muffins ready...help yourself.....

Have a great day, all.... ;) :)

Good Morning Loriand everyone else,

I hear you about all the rain. Feel the same way about all the snow here too. But at least with the snow, one can get out and do things if one wants, whereas rain, not much to do. We are getting a little break from the white stuff yesterday and today and looks like tomorrow as well. Another storm heading in, but at the moment it is supposed to be south of me here.

Had a good day with my back yesterday, not much pain and I enjoyed that. Was even able to go to bed last night and not take pain meds although did wake up early this morning, take a pit stop and had trouble getting comfty after that, so took a Tylenon instead. It's gotten to where it's more of an ache now. But sure am getting tired of having to sleep in pretty much the same position every night

Buch of errands to run today. Mostly to appts. or making them. One of which is to the chiropractor for another round of adjustments on the ol' back.

Had a nice little rememberance service for our former co worker at the park yesterday. Just a handful of us. We are about the only ones who worked with him that are up here right now. The rest are college stuHents who are not in the area and a few others who couldn't make it. Got to see both of my old bosses as well. My coworkers wife was also there and shared a lot of laughs about him with us too. I think it did her a lot of good to be there sharing. He had a history of heart issues, surgeries etc., and finally cancer, so it wasn't totally unexpected. Had a chance to talk with my od boss for a bit and told him what I was kind of thinking as far as retiring etc., He said go for it. Also talked with our former lead ranger who is now a park supervisor and if she has an opening up at her park, i will go up there, if not that's it. She won't know for a few weeks yet as she hasn't sent out letters to her staff to find out who's coming or not coming back. I in the meantime, will make an appt. with the SS people and pray that both my back and the weather will allow me to get over theere. It's about a 50 mile drive from here. It's still a little uncomfortable sitting yet.

And with that, I must get rolling myself. Few dishes to do up, get my exercises done, get dressed and ready to head out thed door.

Have a wonderful day all. If you are on the road, be safe.

Red , you posted while I was writing mine. Today is the big day and after all the work getting Monty ready to trade, you will be so excited when you actaully get the keys in your hand. You can rest up once it's home and you can sit insode and dream of the places it will take you. :)

Good morning Lori, Red, Sue and all that follow.

Sue, I sure hope you can get the position you want for this summer and that you back gets to feeling better pretty soon.

Red, you will get excited again as soon as you see your RED. So happy for you!

Lori, I was just looking at the radar and it looks like you are getting slammed again with rain. I hope you have a bright, sunny day on Friday when you move.

Today is going to be a fun day. Barb Zee and I are heading to Ocala to spend the day with Irmi, Steve and Tina. I am really looking forward to spending time with them again before I have to leave Florida. It sure doesn't seem like we have been in Florida for a month and a half already.

Hope everyone has a great day and if you are traveling, stay safe.

Good Morning all.
Red, so excited for you I was afraid you would wear yourself out yesterday. Hopefully the excitement will get you started and keep you going through the day.
Lori I would like to go to the Beaufort area, I read up about the area and saw something online about the town it looked so pretty. Wonder if it is really that way or just one street. I would love to live in a pretty town with tree lined streets and nicely kept houses, not the new McMansions but white framed with a bit of gingerbread trim.
All of you who are traveling today have a safe journey.

Good morning all! When I got here yesterday to Ozark Ala it was beautiful out. Today is rain storms and flash flood watch, I am really disappointed not to be able to get home today. Tomorrow after 7, it is supposed to be partly cloudy and 30 % chance of rain they are saying. So we;ll see.You all have a SAFE FUN and DRY day!!! Wendy

GOOD MORNING TO ALL!

I would think that the rain must be getting really old, Lori. Here where I live we are praying for some much-needed wet stuff, but others of you have had an unbelievable dose of wetness. We might possibly get some light rain this afternoon, but at this point, it surely doesn't look as if we will. Northern Fl got socked yesterday and last night, but we got ZIP here and in St. Cloud.

Sue I am very happy to hear your back is feeling even a little better, as that kind of pain can certainly wear a person down. I will be interested in what you decide to do after you visit the SS people....mostly because I would love to have you come to the Ruckus this summer!

Red I can understand your exhaustion, but am really looking forward to your getting your new house-on-wheels today! Try not to get too tired to enjoy the experience!

Dawn I wish I could be with you for the last FL getting together, but please say HI to all who will be there for me. Some day I would love to meet Barbzee----I miss her on here.

I have a doc appointment today to find out about my latest biopsies, a look at my zapped legs to see how they are doing, and then I have one more appointment in another couple of weeks----hopefully I will be good to go anywhere by then. But I have no intention of heading home for quite a while to come----I want no snow or ice or, worse yet, any mud in my driveway when I get back there so I can drive all the way in without having to get out my mucker boots!

I spent a lot of time online yesterday looking at Class Bs for sale, and found so many I would love to have. However, I need to seel my duo, truck and trailer, before I could get a loan on something new to me. I am at a loss at how to go about doing this. One rig in particular I love, and it's in my price range....has very few miles and has everything I would want. Sigh.

May you all have a wonderful day wherever you may be. I will head to St. Cloud and the trailer probably tomorrow morning rather than this afternoon....unless the spirits move me otherwise! I would rather spend a rainy spell here than back there, I think.

Wendy, you posted after I tried to send----hope you make it home safe and sound before too much more rain! Let us know when you get there!

Soos, couldn't your son help you with selling you truck and camper. You can find the value at NADA as to what a dealer would give you on a trade, what it's blue book price is and decide what price you want. Here you can do ads in the local paper with pictures. You will get more if you sell it yourself rather than trading in it. If you can't sell them together you may have more of a problem selling the trailer. Sometimes it's easier just to trade and be done with it though.

Good Morning to all. Sorry about all the rain and snow up that way but the poor ground really needs it - too bad it all comes at once. In Indiana I see it will rain tomorrow and then snow again.
Here in Mazatlan it is cooler than usual only in the low 70s during the day and very overcast and gray.
I had a horrible night last night - was up from 1 - 5 - was having hot flash after hot flash - left me sick to my stomach......I thought they were supposed to stop eventually. But I did go on line and download a book that is mentioned in our Book Review - The Leisure Seeker - about two old folks on their last RV trip. I'm about half way through and really enjoying it. Will finish it today as the Jeep is now in the dealership trying to get the transmission problem fixed so we will be without wheels for today for sure. Sure hope they can. It is driveable but makes The Driver nervous that something catrostrophic (sp) will happen.
We'll be leaving here a week from tomorrow heading towards the US.
George is still here in the campground and he says if we need to go somewhere Ms Tioga can take us.
Stay dry, warm and travel safe to all out there.

I know trucks here are getting a pretty penny, Soos, especially if it has low mileage. Even the high mileage trucks are ridiculous! I know because Mark has been looking at used ones for me. I may have to bite the bullet and start looking new because the prices on used are so high. You may try selling your truck out right and trading the trailer.

Fog this morning here then more rain, then fire danger alerts this afternoon because of low humidity and wind. Yeah, you don't like the weather in Texas, wait 5 minutes. At least we aren't getting the snow the Panhandle to west of Ft. Worth is getting.

And I have a cold - yuck!

My truck has only 25,000 miles on it----just rolled over to that! Make me an offer! It is as pristine as the day I drove it off the lot! Am going to the Ford dealership in St. Cloud this week to see what it would be worth. I just wish they also sold camper vans!

Sitting at Honda of Ocala waiting for service on my Honda. Can't say too much about their sales dept., but they do take good care of you in service. The service will be free for one year after purchase. They will wash the car free too. Plus they serve free breakfast ( or lunch depending on your appt. time. ) I just finished my egg, cheese, and bacon croissant sandwich, and am sipping my coffee as I catch up here.

Next up for today is an eye appointment. I was started on Restasis drops for dry eye last fall, so she's going to check and see how that's working, I guess.

I might get done in time to pop in and say hello to Barbzee and Dawn at Irmi's on the way back....just for a few minutes because Thistle will be waiting with legs crossed.

Looking at he weather...cold front coming through. That may keep me in FL a little longer until it's warmer in Southern GA.

Happy birthday, Dawn.

It is still very foggy here. We received 6 1/2 inches of rain last night. The radar shows all the rain to the East of us but we are still under a severe thunderstorm watch. Guess they think more rain will come in from the Gulf. I fell asleep about 11 last night and the rain woke me up about 1:30. I couldn't go back to sleep until after 4. I'm ready for my nap.

Soos, you better make sure you can park a Class B at your Florida house. I hope I don't ever have to live where they can tell me what I can and can't do. It's bad enough that the Parish tells us what we can build and how it has to be built. If you buy from a dealer they might take your truck and trailer as a trade in. A few times I have seen dealers offer a truck and trailer set up for sale and I'm sure they took them as a trade in.

Need to go see if my generator still won't start and call the RV place to see if I can get it in. Don't really feel like doing that today but they probably won't take it right away. Hope it's something they did and not the generator.

Martha

My neighbors here came in a Class A with a toad. One day I heard them start up and watched them hook up the toad and leave. Thought they were taking a side trip like I did to Q, as they left patio stuff, etc. Were gone overnight, came back the 2nd afternoon in a 5th wheel and truck. They completely did a trade ... at a dealers. They are still organizing. Kind of like Red with RED ... compartments are different sizes, etc. Things they had inside, are now going in an outside storage compartment, etc. But they did most of the moving at the rv dealers. They didn't attempt to unload first.
