Barbzeee--I hope you don't mind me puttering around in your kitchen in the middle of the night. I just put on a pot of coffee and got out the Pampered Chef air pot to put the leftover in so it will stay hot and hot get strong till the rest of you drag in. I also sneaked out to Crispie Cream and got some fresh donuts still warm off the conveyor. Better hurry--I'm on my 2nd one!!

I am at the hospital. Bash and I were both awake and she wanted to get on her computer for the first time since surgery. I got mine out too but I'm fixin' to shut mine down and get some more sleep. They will decide today if Bash is going to a rehab place or coming home with home health. Whatever probably won't happen today but we will find out what is going to happen. If she goes to a rehab place for a short period, she could move today, We will just have to wait and see.

I'm grabbing another donut----better hurry!! LOL

Good Wednesday Morning Fernie and Bash!

Well, well,.... I'm up early too,... but not as early as you two!

I tried to program my new vcr for a show last night. But guess I haven't got the knack of this new one yet. missed program. haha.... I could program my old one without even looking and i'd had that machine for years. So when they started phasing out vcrs I bought a new one and kept it in closet. Finallly had to start using it. But,.... wwwwwaaaaaaaaaa wwwwaaaaa,.... I have now missed the finale of Real Housewives. Yep! I got hooked on that show. Will have to catch a re-run tonight or tomorrow night. I know it's such silly "drama" but for some reason I got caught by it. So anyhow, that's why i'm up so early,.. to see if I got my program.

I sure hope Bash progresses well,... my best friend here has had both knees done and she had a home health aide come in for the initial therapy. But others I know have gone to a rehab place,...both have had good results. I think the results are up to the individual and how they work to get the knee going in a normal manner. I'm sure Bash will work hard and in a few weeks will be walking just great.

well,... guess I'll get some breakfast, even though it's early.

Barbzeee, we're keeping your kitchen ready for you! :D

Good Wednesday Morning, all! Fosamax day again for me, so I had to delay in getting my first cup of coffee. Sure does feel good to sit down and wrap my fingers around my mug as my thermometer is standing at right around ZERO F. outside this morning! I think this is our coldest day so far this season. However, I am not alone, as it seems the whole east coast is suffering with coldness. Orlando has freeze warnings, for crying out loud!

The sight of polar bears losing their habitats due to the melting of sea ice is not only heartbreaking, but very scary. (On the morning news now.) I cannot believe that many people still believe that climate changes are not happening on our delicate planet Earth.

Time to get my wood fire to put out some more heat before I have to leave it for the long work day. This is the day, back in 1863, that President Lincoln gave his Gettysburgh Address. (Reminder from the NY Times)

Happy Wednesday to us all!

Goooood Morning Sistahs!!!

I am up, showered, dressed and have been guzzling coffee. I think I'm ready to face the day? Well almost! Would be a whole lot better if I didn't have to go into work of course! ;) It would be nicer if I could have stayed in bed, be nice if I could go back to bed. But that sure isn't gonna happen. Even if I had that choice? I would just end up staying up. ~sigh~ Couldn't go back to sleep now anyway.

BRRRRRR! It is 10 freaking degrees out on my backporch!!! LOL Funny tho, the temp is lower than yesterday but it's not as miserable out there as it was yesterday morning. No wind is blowing today. Dang wind chill factor. And it was spitting eensy weensy snow balls yesterday morning too. Quite a few countys shut down schools yesterday and some were on 2hr delay. So that means that the mountains got snow.

Work, the overtime and the stress is really getting to some of the people up there. Good grief there sure is a lot of arguments going on. And I think half the place is sick with colds or flu??? But very few dare to take off the time because of getting deviated and few can afford to lose the money. I swear that place is one huge germ factory up there. It doesn't help that there is no assigned seating, night shift comes in and will log you off the computers so that they can sit with friends. So if you or they are germy? Well it just got passed to someone else. And night shift never stays in the same seats. I think it's one big game of musical chairs to them. It's interesting to say the least some times.

Ok, Kelly is now showered, dressed and in the kitchen. That means it's time to go....

Hope everyone has a great day and please stay safe.

Love to all

Barbz??? Sure do miss ya Lady!!! Take care and hurry back.

Good-morning, Another cold day, no wind though, so doesn't feel as cold out. Not sure whats on the agenda today. I have a long chore list, so whatever I pick. That darn chore list stays long all the time. My daughter and family are coming for Thanksgiving, so think I will just do for that. More fun !

Hope everyone has a great day, stay warm, some of you are in a colder area then I, and have to get out and drive the roads, so stay safe all.

Carol

Good morning ladies. Sunny and coolish here this morning. Nothing on the agenda for the day except to try and find my dressy sandels in my storage unit for the ballet Saturday. It was good to see Zeee's post yesterday. Sure do miss her. Am traveling along with all of you on the road and drooling over the pictures. Am starting to get itchy feet and am not planning on a trip before March. Hope you all have a great day. Guess I'd better go walk the dogs.

Good Morning ladies !!
It's about 50 today and cloudy - the rain is suppose to start up tomorrow so I plan on getting outside today.
A couple of people here at the campground told me about a good beach to go for agate hunting so I think I'll do that today.
That's my only plan ! I'll save the inside chores and errands for a rainy day.
I found a neat saying on a greeting card
"First they ignore you
then they laugh at you,
then they fight you,
then you win."
- Mahatma Gandhi

I like that -
Have a lovely day !!

Good Morning to all - we are in Grants, NM and will be here today too. Got down to 20 last nite - Bill got up and put the heater on - even the fireplace couldn't keep us warm. But today it is supposed to get up to mid 60s - a beautiful day to visit the Acoma Pueblo. The people next to us spent yesterday there and said it is a "not to miss". This is another interesting little town - lots of Route 66 memories. Some restored some just crumbling way. Staying at a KOA here - WiFi, cable TV, nice size spaces, a book exchange, even continental breakfast every morning. During the summer they will deliver supper to your site. McDonalds and Wal*Mart just across the freeway.
Feel better now that we have six new tires. Just glad we saw the bubble and that there was a place right across the street to get new ones. And they cost the same as they would in Vegas. That surprised me considering we were out in a small town away from any compitition. Well got to map out our tour for the day. Tomorrow onward towards Vegas
Yesterday we put 80 gallons diesel in for under $200 - so much better than a few months ago.

Okay, who ate all the doughnuts? I love Krispy Creme! Serves me right for waiting until after lunch to get on here. It was 32 degrees here in sunny FL this am...had to cover some tender plants last night.

Had a haircut this morning, then shopped for Thanksgiving groceries. I'm going to actually make homemade pies this year, not Mrs. Smith. I have to pick up Bandit from the vet about 2 p.m., then he'll be wanting some TLC.

I just chatted with vtchris on the phone. She was in the area this morning, but I just missed her. She's heading for TX after Thanksgiving, so maybe some of you TX gals can meet up with her.

Hope you are all having a great day and staying warm.

Good Afternoon, nothing happening here. Paid bills and did a little laundry. Thought I might go move some leaves but went outside to get the mail and ran back in the house. Well not ran but walked very fast. It's 32 and still very windy so will find inside projects.

We have early birds and late birds, I am really late, needed to be into work very early today, so left without checking out the donuts. Liz want to meet at Krispy Creme in the morning, since we missed Fernie's hot one this morning?

It is cold in Florida, leaving my pool running at night to keep the piples from freezing. Heard that we will be below freezing here from 11 PM until sometime tomorrow, then will warm up a bit. The only radio station I can pick up at work is playing Christmas music, so with the cold, the music, I am ready for Christmas before the Thanksgiving Turkey has been served.

Look for you all in the morning with the coffee pot.
