Rainy Sunday Morning

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

I've lived through 3 hurricanes and many near misses. The flooding was the worst with two tropical storms - Claudette in 1979 and Allison in 2001. And they do get too excited when there is a storm developing. The weather guys have been talking about this storm for over a week. I like being able to track and plan, but as could be seen with Ike, planning only goes so far since it came ashore so much further north than forecast. And the reporters that have to be in the middle of the storm - there are a couple that I would love to see just blow right on away!!!

My thoughts and prayers are with those that might be impacted. I think we have dodged another bullet here.

BTW, anyone needing sanctuary from storm....we have room. We have guest rooms and bath. We also have room for rigs with a very long paved flat driveway with power, water & sewer. :D

I might have to take you up on the sanctuary, they just put an X over our place. I wish I was free to just leave but have too many animals and equipment that might need to be moved. The governor is going to have a news conference in 15 minutes.

Probably not the best time for a cattle drive.

 No, Colleen, probably not. We would just need to get them 15 miles North to get away from the water.
