Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Where or where did our sunny weather go? there is a BIG wind blowing here today. I'm thinking about going to a movie, maybe The Kings' Speech.

So excited following the progress of travel to the gtg. You are the hostess with the mostest Liz!

Yesterday I picked up ingredients for pasta with peppers and hot Italian sausage. The cold day is turning out just right for that choice.

Lenora, so glad about your eye surgery! My auntie recently had both eyes done, she is so excited to be driving and reading again.

have a fun day everyone, looking forward.....

Lenora, I'll bet it's just great to have one good eye and know the other is gonna soon be good too! When my mom had hers done, after vascillating for years over getting it done, she came home and immediately had to change lightbulbs cuz everything was too bright. Then she said she looked in the mirror and said, "Geesh, i've gotten really grey..." HAHAH! In a week's time you'll be seeing perfectly! :D :D Prayers for DS and BIL.

To those of you heading to FLA...or who are already there...have a blast! I'm there in spirit! ;)

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

Oh, can I still say that and get away with it??? Yeah what the heck, I'll give myself permission. ;)

Yep sure was a strange day yesterday without stopping by here to see what everyone was up to. Yesterday was kinda boring with no daily dose of Sistah chatter! So everyone is gonna have to do a lot of yakking and catching up.

Hey Lenora? Why don't you take the screw out of the one side of your frames and then pop that lens out??? Hang on to it but at least it would be out of the way of your "one good eye". Makes me think of that old dirty joke about "One eye". No I ain't going there.

Wind was really wild here last night. Poor old TT was just a rocking and creaking. At least it wasn't "rolling"! Whew! That would have been one heck of a ride! There use to be a broken branch in the big tree at the corner of our site. It's no longer UP in the big tree. It's now down laying in the branches of the smaller tree. At least it didn't land on the truck!!! Haven't seen the maintenance man yet today but when I do I call him over to help me get that branch out and down before it falls on someone or something. The wind also took down 2 of my wind chimes too. Struck me as really odd too. Maybe you might remember when Beth posted about the Solstice Moon I mentioned that I watched the full moon rise that night and that only 2 of my wind chimes were making any noise? Their names are "Moonlite Cascade" and "Temple Bells". Well last night was full moon and those were the 2 that had their little branches break off.

Ok, enough blathering. Hope ya all have a good day. If your on the road maybe to the F GTG, be extra careful of the stupid drivers out there!!

Love to all

Hi Everyone,

I can't wait to see pics from the gtg. I wish I could go, but I am stuck here til Feb 4th, here being the snowy, cold, Midwest.
We are supposed to get down to below zero tonight.
I have to take my car in, to get the dashlight, (which is malfunctioning and nothing is wrong with the car) fixed so I can sell the car.
I do not think anyone will buy it otherwise. I have 2 weeks left, so now it is getting to be "crunch time".

I am working hard on getting stuff into the RV, but now I have piles in there and need to spend time organizing stuff.
I will need to turn the heat on to do this, so I want to be sure I have time to do it all, so I am not wasting LJ gas.

How much do you usually pay for RV washes? There is a place by me that will give free wash with oil change, but I was wondering
what it costs otherwise.

Hope those driving have safe travels,

Lots of people here wash their own. I don't often. Do occasionally. I use Blue Beacon Truck Washes when I'm on the road. I'm sure some of the others are good, too, but I like them - and even have them wax it occasionally. I'm thinking I paid 30-35 for them last time. Washes around the country can vary by LARGE amounts. In OR, it was cheap - in PA it was expensive. But in PA, my roof was covered with sap and they were getting all that off for me. (Blue Beacon doesn't do your roof). And most of them do it based on the size of your rig.

Echo, I couldn't get the teeny weeny screw out so I drove one-eyed up to my eye Dr's office and asked them to remove the lens. I put the glasses on just as I was walking out the door and about ran into the wall. For whatever reason having only one corrective lens makes me see wonky. So now I'm back to square one and have a pair of glasses with one lens. I was too embarrassed to turn around and has the gal to put it back in. So the bottom line is, I can see the best without any glasses, just not real good as my good eye strains to compensate for the bad one and after a bit I get dizzy and a headache. Next Tuesday can't come soon enough!

Li, OMGosh! The colors I've painted my walls in this house are not what I have been seeing all along, plus, I had put in those efficiency light bulbs and I just assumed that they gave off a yellow glow! I'm like your Mom, I'm almost needing sunglasses in my own house! This should also help with my SADDS, too!

Lenora - Congrats on your surgery. You will love it when the eye heals totally!! Haven't had cateracts yet but one of my sisters has and she loved the results.

LJ - I pay $2.00/ft for RV wash. Think the guy charges $6/ft for wash & wax. He does a great job too. We are on the central coast of CA.
My MH is 34' so it is over $70 with tip for the wash but well worth it. Just standing next to the MH and looking up and at it - it's huge. We have washed it outselves BUT, I like to have it done.
