I'm sorry if my post sounded like I thought any of you weren't doing enough. I have no idea what they are charging you, but will say that with charges like that I couldn't afford to live there.

OMG, I just looked up the PG&E rates and my jaw dropped. More than 3 times what I'm paying. My heart goes out to all of you there.

LOL, Sandie. Spoken like a true Californian. I never thought that those of you who have those exceptionally high electric bills were not being frugal I know that your power company charges really excessive rates. We are fortunate here in MI to have multiple power companies operating around the state. I like Beth though could never afford to live there with those kinds of bills. But I think the conversation was more just tossing around how much who’s paying for what where we live rather than a geographical area.

Annie, you are absolutely correct about PG&E. We have the same situation down here. San Diego is privately owned. However, saying that, be careful what you wish for. A new company was formed not run by a board of directors. It is a community group. Their rates were great at first. Now. The electricity bills are higher than SDG&E! I cringe every time I read about the bonus paid to the directors. We, as pions, are being screwed. I do not know what to do about it. Years ago I bought some stock in the company. Now I receive a nice little check 4X a year.

Lyn, I hadn't thought about the SKP park in Aguanga with the Nixon Fire. That would have been very close to the fire area.

Judy, it is always fun to go back to where you grew up and rekindle the old memories. Kind of bittersweet tho, with so many changes over the years. Sometimes places are hardly recognizable.

Sheila, I almost fell for that "wrong address" package scam a couple years ago. Just gotta suspect everything now days!

I learned quite a while ago from a scam alert website tips. NEVER EVER click on those links or phone numbers in either emails or texts. ALWAYS go to the site or app account yourself. If anything is amiss it will be on your website. under messages or alerts. Like USPS, FedEX, banks, paypal, different accounts you may have. So far I have escaped being scammed but many people I know have not.

They recently opened an Amazon warehouse in Abbeville. Sometimes the delivery people look like they are in their own cars or vans. One night about 9:00 I got a text about an Amazon delivery so of course I didn't answer it. In a few minutes I get a call and I answered it, but I seldom answer calls from a number I don't know. A lady was trying to find my house and was lost. I walked out on the porch and could see her lights on a side road. I'm standing on the porch trying to tell her how to find my house. I finally got her on the right road.

I get emails all the time about packages that are scams.

Shirl, Thanks for the heads up on the cough/ medicine. I had a pharmacist go over all my medications this weekend. He didn’t find any that would cause a cough. I spent a horrible night last night coughing. This morning I did a good rinse with the salt water. Then put one of the nasal sprays up my sinus. So far, that has helped.
I had a nice weekend staying in the trailer. It’s good I am doing this prior to moving in. I couldn’t turn off the light over the bed. Slept with a pillow over my head! Of course the solution was easy when my daughter showed me how! I also asked my GGD to knock before she burst in. I don’t want them thinking they can just run in whenever they feel like it!
I am enjoying the soccer game at the Olympics. That’s about all I watch.
