Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Barbie, that was me laughing about the tree. lol A few years ago I found a 4' tree set in a vase looking thing that feels like cement. It's very heavy and the cats have never turned it over.

I was looking at Christmas stuff at Walmart. I want a wreath to put on my son's grave but I didn't see one I liked. I thought about going to Hobby Lobby tomorrow but forgot they are closed on Sunday.

My cousin's son decorates her house for Christmas. He started during his fall break and turned everything on the day after Thanksgiving. He posted photos on FB and I told his Mom that we were wondering what the bright light was coming from the east. He hasn't finished inside but even her light switches will have some type of plug in decoration by the time he is done. . I told him he could come and help me with our decorations by carrying my tiny ceramic tree upstairs and plugging it in

Toby is still coughing but not much. Emma is off to a practice session in KY for an upcoming show. I'm hoping the show will be cancelled.

I've never been a night owl. When I was young and living with my Granny she would despair about me going out to 'Den's of inequity' as she called night clubs, I would take a nap as we usually didn't go out until around ten. She rather delighted in waking me up very early the next morning by shaking the ashes out of the coal stove. Metal clanging against metal is not a good way to start the day. Everything else in her house was modern except for the coal stove heat. This was in the early 60's.

  I saw the other day that HL sells those old fashioned ceramic trees this year.

After going out late at night on Friday nights, I would wake up to food cooking early in the morning by my grandma. She came out early every Saturday morning from her house in Minneapolis, by bus, to cook and clean for us. I was always hoping she was making her vegetable beef stew. I called it "hangover stew" because it would always cure my hangover! I don't know that she knew I was out carousing the night before but she was pretty smart so I think she knew a lot more than I thought she did.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
