Shirl, your lamp repair does look complicated. I would think it would be hard to get the cord through all the bends.

I keep getting texts from Walmart that I need to renew one of my prescriptions because it doesn't have any more refills. I don't know what they are talking about because I only have two prescriptions that are good until next year. I wanted to go to the post office so went by Walmart. The woman I talked to couldn't figure it out either. That was a waste of time. When I got to Walmart the sky was black and it was sprinkling. I managed to spend enough time that the rain was over by the time I left. I got gas in the car and a container of gas for the mower.

I don't remember ever camping in a campground that only had 20 amp electricity. I don't know where they are getting the money but the state is doing a lot of upgrades to some of the state parks. The local state park now has sewer at all the sites. I haven't camped since they put the sewer in but someone said you better bring long hoses because the sewer is behind the sites.

I have the monthly Hospice Dine Around tomorrow. It's at a restaurant in Abbeville. We'll see how many are willing to drive as far as I usually have to.

I would like to go walk but it's still 92. The weather report said that we will have 99 and 100 degree days next week. My electric bill went up $40 and I'm sure the next one will be more than that. I have been running the air conditioner at 75 because Sugar acts like she is hot.

Shirl, we are all caught up in the lamp saga! Righty tighty, left loosey. I understand about not being strong enough to turn it. One of my worst campground stays was near Yellowstone - I picked a site by the river. This was with the camper - between 2 trees with a big rock to maneuver around, a regular electrical outlet mounted on a tree, too many tall weeds to even see the river! Martha and Irmi, I think you are both in good Slingshot country! Sue, the photo makes me realize just how big of a job your deck is!

I now have my hibiscus back from my daughter and a planter with plants! My daughter went with me and I thought we did well. However, somehow picking out the last plant (which I have 2 of), we ignored it needs full shade and was expensive! My large bag of potting soil wasn't quite enough so with it being a weekend, I was lucky to find more potting soil at a small grocery store not far away. Now we'll see. Decided I'd save the other planter to put spring bulbs in later.

Maybe tomorrow I finally clean! I did turn the roomba loose earlier but think using the vacuum cleaner is quicker and more efficient.

I looked through the list, and I am especially glad they are replacing the sanitation system at Traverse City SP. This is a terrific example of poor design so I hope they are relocating it or at least relocating some of the campsites near it. I assume it was built when few campers had tanks to dump because it is located at the end of a lane of camp sites. This is a very large campground in a very popular place, so there are so many RVs that line up to dump that they have to station a camp host to direct traffic, plus the line ends up forming down the roadway so that it blocks in several campsites!! Can you imagine being stuck in your camp site for several hours each day by RVs lining up to dump??? It really needs to be located away from where campers are camping.

I know that they have spent a lot of money on Wilderness SP near Mackinaw City over the last couple of years, redoing most of the campsites. Like most other state parks in Ohio, Michigan, or anywhere these days, it is packed at least 6 months of the year. I remember staying there 11 years ago and the sites were so close together and the roadway so narrow that most campers had their vehicles parked hanging out into the road. I remember people having to move trucks before I could leave!! (Sue will remember that, also.)

In Ohio, last year they replaced about 10% of their old sites with new, wider, and level full-hookup sites in almost every state park. The new sites also have paved patios and cement pads for the hookups. (Paved patios reduce the number of mats that people put on the grass, which kills the grass and creates more mud.) I remember being at Mosquito Lake last year in one of the older sites. It had rained, and there was a pond around the electrical post!!! The entrance person told me it was perfectly safe to stand in the water to plug in my electric cord because the post had a circuit breaker!!!! Nope, not me! The camp host did plug it in for me, however, but he was wearing rubber boots. What it really needed for a temporary fix was a couple of wheelbarrow loads of big gravel, but I'll bet it is still a pond! But in this campground at Punderson Lake, they did not put in any new full hookup sites, but they did start the 30 amp replacement by getting the wiring buried and will install the new posts in October. (I am guessing this is the most money they have spent in several decades.)

State parks are very popular now that COVID is not so much of a danger, so there is no lack of customers. In Ohio, the next step, in my opinion in most state parks is to replace the crumbling asphalt pads with wider ones that are level, and also slightly raised so they are not so muddy next to them. A lot of the sites here at Punderson and also at West Branch are either very short and/or are maybe two feet higher in the back than in the front, so only a small trailer can park in many sites.

Good evening. Had a super nice weather day, not too hot, not too cold. Was chilly this morning but then the sun came out this afternoon and was quite warm 84 So warming up for sure this week in the 80's. Will have to do anything I need to do outside early.

Shirl if you are going to throw it I suggest you throw it UP to bird lady. I dont have alot of strength in me anymore either. I use Robo Grips and love them. I have a big one and a small one and they saved my butt many of times. I like your lamp saga too, but I have to tell you I would be on Amazon in a nano second buying a new one LOL LOL I am like that you know ha ha

Think I will put the second coat of stain on my deck soon. Sue has inspired me. I dont have to do any scraping or priming, I do have to pound a few nails in deeper thos but that is it.
Laura stopped by today on her way home from Medford. We had a good visit, as usual. She will be pretty busy at work for a while but hopefully we can get together again soon.

Had some fetuccini for dinner and a garlic/cheese roll. Now just finished a Healthy Choice fudge bar (100 calories) so done eating for the day LOL Need to go make out my shopping list for fresh veggies and a bit of fruit. I want a watermelon but dang they are so good and those little personal ones are so expensive so not sure what the answer to that problem is ha ha
Watching a series on Netflix and it is easy watching, no message, just easy watching.

We maxed out at 100° today. Ty and I got over 2 3/4 miles total today. I wanted to walk a bit more tonight but he headed home sooner than normal on the last walk. He's now sleeping. It's still upper 80's now but will cool off to mid-60's and we will hopefully be getting our morning walk in while it's still nice. By the time we get home I need a nap lol. I don't take one but after sitting and relaxing I no longer want to go back out into the rising heat.

Hummingbirds are ignoring my feeder. Today I put out a bird bath. I have birds all around the area so hopefully these birds will like the water to drink or play or bathe.

I intended to cook more for the freezer but wanted to add corn to what I'm making next and discovered I don't have any. So I'll run to the store in the morning.

My Casita looks like a tornado hit it. I'm supposed to be organizing not making a mess! I'm not getting as much done on the RV as I want to but I don't want to be running AC in both places during the day.

Shirl, I'm with Karen. I'd be purchasing a new one by now. That said, I'm being yours has more pizzazz than the new I've I have here.

today is the anniversary of Larry's passing decided that I wanted to go over to the cemetery made arraignments to meet two of my dd's #3 brought her two grandchildren ... so took the hat so I could see how much small I needed to make for the little guy It doesn't need to be smaller so the one I've done 6 rounds in is too small I am going to just cut the yarn...
I could pull it out but I think I remember this skein and I don't like it but I do like the color... it seems to separate a lot... had a nice time with my girls and great grandkids... Reny has always had a hard time warming up to me she is shy to some extent someday perhaps if I keep bribing her with stuff she is the one the hat and scarf is for she does like the color... and William was just being a grandma's boy she was gone for a bit over a week and they have been with mom at a camping area so he hasn't seen much of grandma so was very clingy with her I didn't even try!!!
stopped at the nursery yep I did .... even though the pots are full I just felt like three needed something more so hopefully I got something that will help usually they have people there that are willing to give you input but today not so much perhaps the time of the day... I noticed when I left that the gas light was on.. didn't know when it came on it's not in a good spot to see it... so headed to town and the grocery store... but decided that I needed to get a little bit before I got to Smith's and their fuel so I could use my points off stopped at Mavrick and got 5 dollars worth that was just over a gal it wasn't much but I made it to the store and put in almost 14 gals worth it was empty!!! now I know how much it holds
told mom I would be back about 5 but it was about 6 but with everything things just took longer stopped at Wendy's and got her ck nuggets we had eaten at the Thia place!!! now of course I am hungry cause it was hours ago...
oh Beth did you realize that your location is still Utah???
you all look like you have big projects going on I think I'm in the corner of those who would just replace it but like that you are trying to work it out I think getting that cord through the angles would be not easy good luck
