woke up this morning to go to the potty room and usually at that time I get mom's thyroid medicine out so the next time she is up hopefully she will take it...about that time the door bell rang so rang and opened the door partially enough to see my niece from CO told her I needed to go get something on but come in... I could see someone else with her but no glasses on so really didn't focus on who it was... went and put my pj bottoms on and glasses and switched my oxygen from the mask to the other... then went out found out the other was my brother...my nieces dad...he is the youngest of my brother's.. anyway the last time I talked to him he was debating whether to have his shoulder replaced and a nerve in his elbow taken care of... at that time he was saying he didn't think he would do it as why if it will still hurt afterwards anyway... but guess he changed his mind as they were on the way to the hospital for the surgery he did well and is in his room but too tired for company so didn't go over depending upon what the doctor said he might go home tomorrow... if he does I think I will take mom to visit him next week she has been a bit stressed today which is to be understood...it was good to see niece haven't seen her for a year probably when he had his knee replaced... being a cowboy isn't easy at all
Anita my granddaughter has been accepted into a pharmacy school to be a pharmacist I didn't realize that they wore a "white" coat so wasn't even expecting it
made pork chops for supper in the A/F as well as baked potatoes... usually bake the potatoes first then the chops and let the potatoes hang out a bit till the meat is done then reheat the potatoes... for a few minutes... haven't figured out a better way to do it... don't usually get thick chops but they were in the discount bin so had to get them... and we had corn on the cob... it all tasted good... my dd told me how my granddaughter (her son's wife) makes Mexican street corn the lazy way... might have to try it... it's funny I like frozen peas and corn but I'm not wild about most other frozen veggies... doesn't make sense to me... she uses canned corn where I usually use frozen corn...
got my scriptures read and wrote down the books for April didn't get as many read as I typically do guess the trip to Ut... took some of my reading time... and a row on my Swedish Weave... one day I think I need to do more than I've done most day
Beth that would have scared me so bad... glad you heard him and that Ty obeyed ...
That will be fun to have your house painted will make it so bright and fresh...
hope that job works out for you Barbie working in a library would be nice I think
you all have a great day

I really like my hearing aids. It’s great how they’re paired with my phone. There’s an app and I can increase or decrease the volume depending on the circumstances. When I’m listening to something on my phone like a call or recording on the phone, I don’t have to hold the phone to my ear as the sound comes straight through the hearing aids.

Tina, I have had several cortizone shots before (shoulders mostly) and for me, they are horribly painful for me! I have to be in more pain from the injury than the shot will be, to go along with having one! :o I really don't have any pain in my knee now that I am not working. Just occasionally, I move it wrong and it gets a little sore. I do have a knee brace (actually several) that I put on when it hurts a little to stabilize it until it feels better. She was surprised at how flexible my knee was. She moved it a couple of times back and forth with no pain. Then she moved it in a circle and I yelped! Was a little sore for awhile after that! Fine tonight tho. I got a little peddle exerciser thing that I have been using and I think that is helping. When I went in for PT for my sciatica, they had me on the bike and told me that would be helpful for both issues.

Judy, you can only imagine how bad it was for me at that last job with full blast rap music and trying to drown it out with my 70's music and then trying to concentrate on my work at the same time!! :o With ADHD, I am very easily distracted by sounds as it is, but that just gave me an anxiety attack, especially with the language!

Beth, I would be afraid to go out at night unless I had a lot of light to see any snakes.

I am so glad we have a 6 foot wall around our park to keep the critters out of here! We never have an issue with snakes or scorpions here and rarely coyotes (just raccoons). If I had to deal with looking out for snakes and scorpions whenever I went outside after dark, I would freak out! (or worse yet, inside my house!). I actually got a black light flashlight a couple years ago to bring with when I go to Quartzsite to see any scorpions at night.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
