It really is FRIDAY

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Yesterday didn't amount to much. Went to the dentist and they took X-rays and then I waited almost an hour before the dentist came into tell me what he found. Nothing much new but need to replace my gold crown due to a cavity underneath it, and need a crown on a tooth that has been broken for awhile. They want $560 for deep cleaning! :o They don't even want to consider doing a basic cleaning which is all my insurance will cover. I got everything printed out for what I need to get done and prices. I plan to take that to Algodones to get the work done much cheaper. On that note...I got my passport card application done at the Post Office this morning.

The rest of yesterday I didn't get much done. Was tired and didn't feel good so I laid low for the day. Today, I got my laundry done, did 3 haircuts, and frosted my hair which was way overdue! Also borrowed the neighbor's ladder and took the covers off the skylights in my kitchen and bathroom. Good to get that natural light in here again!

I enjoy shopping on line because I forget what I ordered and when it shows up, I can't wait to open it up and see what it is! Just like Christmas!! :D
Chili sounds good! Now that it has cooled off, I might have to make some soon!

The yappy dogs are going nuts right now! :x I think they are leaving tomorrow! I sure hope so! Am so tired of listening to that all day long!

Back to work tomorrow. 9 hours tomorrow, 6 on Sunday, and 9 again on Monday :o . Then 4 days off. Hoping to get everything pretty much finished up here by the end of the week. I also really need to get my car in to get fixed, It is taking longer to start it now. So the problem is getting worse. :( I have just been putting it off since I need my car to make runs to the thrift store, storage unit and various appointments.

Sandi, so glad to hear you are back home and things went well. Take it easy and follow your doctors orders.

I have really noticed how high the grocery prices have gotten lately also! With the high gas prices, the delivery trucks have to charge more, then the stores pass that on to us. Luckily, gas has come down quite a bit around here in the last couple weeks. Last time I filled my tank it was over $6 per gallon. Yesterday I paid $5.13. Still waiting to get my $250 rebate from the state for the high gas prices over the summer. Should show up pretty soon. My neighbor got hers already.

Sometimes I smell skunk in places out here and then realize it is marijuana! For some reason it smells like skunk, I don't remember it smelling like that when I was a teenager. :? I always know when I am driving near a pot manufacturing place because of the skunk smell. It smelled that way where I used to work too.

Have a good night!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Beth, I had to chuckle at the different additions you will make to your potato soup on different days. Back when I was in high school, my Mom was in tne hospital nearly 2 weeks from gall bladder surgery. Dad made potato soup, which became clam chowder, which became clam chowder with corn, which becomes Corb clam chowder with bacon. By the time we finally used the last up, I was never so glad to see frozen tv dinners in oven!
Sandi, so glad you are home safe.
